*Edit – I figured it out. I am dumb :-/
That did the trick. Thanks!
Do you know how they got there?
You guys are GOOD!!
Woked perfect! I just need to do some repositioning on my end but it looks like it will all work fine.
Thank you again!!
SladeHi Yigit!
I updated the page, I completely took those graphics elements out of the page and then rebuilt that section but still…that strange things shows up on mobile devices.
The @media code worked close enough for me to be able to tailor it specifically. Thanks!
Slade
Perfect!
Thanks Yigi!

Hi Josue – can you read the issue above?
here is the correct url: http:/sladestyle.com/WP-Testing/home
I will give login credentials in private.
Thanks!
SladeYou’re a wizard Yigit!! Thank you!
You should include this as a default into your theme. VERY handy.
Thanks again!
SladeOh…so sorry Devin. Was getting helped earlier and the topic was closed. Thought I could just pick it back up. My bad.
Josue helped me with an issue I was having on this page: http://sladestyle.com/ WP-Testing/home (needed a way to put transparency in a Color Section without effecting its content. We also had the issue of the Color Section being hidden by this Slider Background I’m using. His suggestion was (after applying a Class to the Color Section):
#transparentbar {
z-index: 100;
position: relative;
}
then this:
background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
to make it semi transparent but not its content. Worked GREAT!Ok…however, the Color Section AND its content all get hidden when in mobile view. Looks great on a desktop with the browser window sized down but when viewing on a phone (or tablet I believe) it disappears.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks!
SladeHi Ismael!
That worked! thanks!I thought I new wordpress (Life at LISC was a child ‘sub item’ under Students in the Menu page). I had to go to the actual life at LISC page and set Students as a Parent there. Is this normal? I must admit…I never use that “parent” option in the page settings.
Brilliant! Worked like a charm!
Thank you!
Question –
I thought I had figured out a way to “trick” this into working. If I add opacity: 0.5; to that custom css you gave me it does a great job with the bar transparency but it also makes whatever is inside of the Color Section take on that same 0.5 opacity. I thought I could make a transparent png around 100 x 100 and have it repeat horizontally. I would then not need the opacity custom css and the elements inside would be normal.Unfortunately, it takes my semi transparent png file and makes it opaque. When you insert an image into the Color section does it turn it into a jpg?
ahhh….Josue…you are brilliant!!
I was about to give up on the idea!
Thank you!!
SladeHi Josue, thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately that keeps the slider from being ‘full screen’ and then drops the Color Section below it rather than on top.
If you look at this page: http://sladestyle.com/WP-Testing/ you will get an idea of what I’m trying to achieve. I understand the Color Section will have to run the full width rather than 2/3rds like the example I just gave but that’s fine. The way I did the /WP-Testing/ page is to use 2 sliders. The semi transparent background, image, text…are 1 slider set to static.
The problem with using 2 sliders is when you view it on a smaller screen the static slider just gets smaller rather than repositioning elements but keeping them large.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

I should have known this. Such a full theme…always finding something new.
Thanks!
SladeHi Yigit,
Your screenshot is showing the issue. That image place holder is actually suppose to be inside of a Color Section that is set to #000000. The Color Section does not show up.
Hi Yigit, I think you are misunderstanding me. I want the logo to be wide like it is in Firefox. The client wasn’t a very big logo.
For some reason both Safari and Chrome are limiting the wide of the logo where Firefox is not.
Is there anyway to fix this?*Edit – I think I figured it out. Thanks tho
