OK, I had it happen on a couple of other sites, this round, as well, FYI — http://bayuno.com, http://newhorizons-sfv.org — so, three sites out of about 25 I think I have on Enfold. I can’t see any correlation in the configuration of those sites, off hand.
I’m having the same issue at http://woodflooringsd.com/ — is this still the recommended solution; to just update via FTP? Thanks!
I thought I had tried it without the plus, but I guess I hadn’t — that seems to have done the trick — thank you!!
No. I got it working with Hind, but not Hind+Siliguri. As I said in my previous / Aug 13 message, it seem to me the problem lies in the “+” or two-name fonts — I tested with Ubuntu and had the same issue; I could get it to work with Ubuntu, but not Ubuntu+Condensed.
OK, thanks anyway. And yes, I just added it as a feature request. Thanks again.
OK, I got as far as getting it working with Hind. But I can’t seem to get it to work with Hind Siliguri (see attached screen grab of my child functions.php file with Hind+Siliguri in place), it seems to work in that Hind Siliguri becomes available via the options panel, but the font doesn’t seem to take on the front end. I also tested with Ubuntu and Ubuntu Condensed — same thing; I could get it to work with Ubuntu, but not Ubuntu Condensed — is there maybe something about the “+” that causes problems?
Thanks again.
OK, what about on an iPad — can you edit Advanced Layout element on an iPad?
Haha, I just figured out, I was just zoomed out one level in my browser! I just hit command-0, to go back to the default/100% zoom level, and that was it! Sorry to waste your time!
Sure thing, attached:
Thanks, but it’s not that important to me that I’d implement a child theme just for that. I’d be happy just knowing you guys plan on fixing it in some future update…?
You got it…
Thanks, that’ll do — that’s better. I mean, it’d be nice if, when the sidebar drops down and the body area takes up that width, the body area still allowed two columns — there’s plenty of room for two columns after the sidebar drops down ( see https://www.evernote.com/shard/s320/sh/64e342cd-499a-4f31-a4cb-c7c64c8455e6/17891d3638d00db886d528fc4544422e ) — but I know that’s asking a lot ;) Thanks again!
Sure thing — sending privately — thanks! Note, all my css is in the Jetpack Custom CSS module (in Appearance > Custom CSS).
Thanks, Andy, but that doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I drop that css in and out and reload the site at a width between those values and nothing seems to change. I’m still getting these super-narrow, cramped columns — especially the right sidebar — for example https://www.evernote.com/shard/s320/sh/35c28f19-b736-472a-aefe-ab808fef7f13/22768075105e938c867b9a191178bea7
Can you give me some css to switch to mobile view at 900px, like the option the Top Header layout provides?
Thanks again.
Sure, it’s at http://5db.14d.myftpupload.com/ , but I’ll be taking the site live tonight (hopefully), so it might move to http://theyogurtshoppe.com/ — thanks!
April 20, 2016 at 1:34 pm in reply to: Removing Caption Animation From Full Width Easy Slider #618290That worked — thanks! Don’t feel obligated to answer this, but, if you feel like it ;) The animation seems to sort of snap in and the slowly fade in — like a drastic easing-out. I looked up some ease-in css, but it doesn’t really help much — do you know how to get a nice, soft ease-in effect?
Here’s what I have now at http://ff3.762.myftpupload.com/about/introductory-profile/ :
.slideshow_caption { animation-name: opac; animation-duration: 3s; animation-timing-function: ease-in; -webkit-animation-timing-function: ease-in; }
Thanks! (but again, don’t feel obligated)
April 18, 2016 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Removing Caption Animation From Full Width Easy Slider #616431That css looks hopeful, but it’s not working for me — I’m still getting the slide-in effect. I have it implemented here, for example: http://ff3.762.myftpupload.com/about/introductory-profile/ — anything else you can suggest? Thanks!
Yes, sorry, I found that via another support string while I was waiting for your response — yes, that’s working for me! Thank you!!
February 17, 2016 at 2:47 am in reply to: mobile menu and fullscreen slider not showing, left sidebar layout #584427Thanks for the response. I don’t have too many sites running on other hosting — almost all my clients are with godaddy. I’ll keep testing my sites and keep an eye out for this issue. At this point, it doesn’t seem like all my godaddy sites have that issue — seems like it must be a combination of things — but I’ll keep an eye out, as I said. Thanks again.
February 5, 2016 at 11:25 am in reply to: mobile menu and fullscreen slider not showing, left sidebar layout #578428Oh weird! The slider seemed to be working on my desktop. Also, it still looked screwed up on my phone when I just checked now — even more screwed up; like before I updated the theme; with the menu items all showing above the header and everything out of whack (see linked screen grab). Flushing the site cache via the GoDaddy hosting settings and clearing my phone history didn’t seem to do the trick. Even clearing the history and relaunching safari on the phone, and repeating that a couple of times didn’t work. Even clearing the history, quitting the browser and restarting the phone didn’t work…. the first time, but when I did that a second time, it worked! The site looks fine again. AND, the reason I went through all that was because I had the exact same experience a few months ago, when I was running into some similar issues on the phone after a theme upgrade. Do you have any advice re clearing the iPhone cache to avoid this in the future? I wonder how many other users who have visited the site before are still seeing that screwed up version. Thanks, regardless!
November 23, 2015 at 12:26 am in reply to: mobile menu nav and featured images not showing on phone #540474Hmm, I guess it was something funky with my phone. I had cleared and quit everything and rebooted it, but was still seeing the problem, but yeah, the next day, it seemed fine. Anyway, thanks for checking and replying!
OK, thanks for the reply — I’ll keep my fingers crossed ;)
OK, that’s semi-acceptable, thanks ;) Not as good as before, though, and a pain to have to go through my 25 enfold sites and apply that css. Are you including a fix in an upcoming enfold release? If so, is that coming any time soon, to you know?
I removed my Themeforest username and API from the Theme Update fields and that seemed to solve my issue. But now I put the info back in and I don’t seem to be having the issue anymore, even with that info in there. Is it possible that removing the info clears up the issue (at least whatever issue I was having, apparently with Dreamhost), and then you can reenter the info without it reactivating the issue? Anyway, my issue seems to be resolved, at least for the moment.
Thanks.
No, when I activate the default theme there’s no problem. I tried deactivating all plugins and I’ve manually updated Enfold — still having the same issue. I’ll include credentials for you here. Note, I’ve updated everything by switching to the default theme, but try adding any plugin and you’ll see the issue (I’ve switched it back to Enfold now).

Oh I’m sorry — I didn’t mean I needed any more help — I was just pointing out that, if you go to the site, you won’t see the vertical background image left-aligned in the Main Content because (once I was able to finally do it and see what it looked like) I decided using the horizontal version in the footer looked better anyway.
The site seems to be working fine, now — maybe it was a transient error: http://2fa.490.myftpupload.com/
Thanks again.
OK, that didn’t quite work for me — that puts the image inside the container padding or something, so it’s 50px from the left edge, and if I try to move it left, it disappears. Also, that only worked on my inside pages, not my home page (maybe because my home page doesn’t have a sidebar). BUT, that did help me get to something that does work, which is this:
.main_color.container_wrap .container { background: transparent url(https://2fa.490.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/colored-divider-vert.png) top left repeat-y scroll; }
FYI, I’m sticking with the horizontal footer version for now, so the above isn’t actually implemented on my site, at the moment.
Thanks for persevering with me, nonetheless ;)

Wait, are you saying that adding a background image in the Main Content area (in the Left Sidebar layout) does work? As far as I can tell, that option doesn’t work. And adding a right-aligned background image in the Logo Area via the option panel doesn’t seem to work either. Am I wrong about either of those things? I mean, it’s ok if they don’t work; you can just tell us, “Sorry, you’re right, those options don’t work in the Left Sidebar layout. We’ll try to either fix or remove those options in a future update,” or something like that… ;)
Your suggestion above puts a background color behind the border / menu divider lines. If you can send me css for a background image that’ll show up above / on top of the border / menu divider lines, that could work, but I couldn’t even figure out how to make your suggestion work with a background image.
Thanks again.
I don’t think that’s the issue — the background image shows in the header, footer, etc. — it just doesn’t show in the Main Content area, where I need it ;) You should easily be able to test this on your end — I think you’ll find that the theme option for adding a background image to the Main Content area doesn’t work in the Left Sidebar layout. Please let me know if I’m mistaken.
OK, so the theme option for adding a background image to the Main Content area doesn’t work in the Left Sidebar layout, correct?
