  • Here is a little more information to help. I have tested one of the videos on another site with Enfold with the same result. A black screen and an error message when trying to play. This is the code I have been using and has the problem. This url has been working without a problem for about 6 months:

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=xqmFufSwmbI%3Frel%3D0

I have just tried removing the ?rel=0 and using https://www.youtube.com/embed/xqmFufSwmbI and that works.

I hope this helps. I could work through the website and change everywhere but would prefer to have your advice before I do that.

    Thanks

Hi again. This is becoming very urgent thanks. We have launched a marketing campaign and the videos are critical to it. Thanks

Just following up to see how you are going with this support query. Thanks

Hi Wildwood. Yes, that client’s website is with GoDaddy but is not on a Managed WP plan (at least not that I am aware of).

    Yes thanks Rikard. All sorted.

    Hi again Yigit
I have replaced the iframe code block with an ALB video element and then re-enabled the Wordfence firewall. That has solved the problem. So, the iframe code I used seems to have been the cause. For info.
    Thanks, Mark

Thanks Yigit. Yes, I have activated Wordfence again and then turned on Learning mode and the pages are all loading fine.
    Thanks for that.
Interesting that some pages don’t load whereas others do. I am wondering if there is a specific element on the pages that Wordfence does not like. I have a couple of code blocks (see below). I have now replaced the iframe code with a video element in ALB. Just wondering if they may be the cause and trying to understand what may be causing the problem.

    <iframe width=”563″ height=”300″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/Pn2g83uhvjA&#8221; frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>

    and

Your thoughts on these code blocks potentially causing the issue?

    Thanks, Mark

What I am trying to figure out is why only this website has an issue. The 30 or so other websites with Enfold and Wordfence do not seem to have the same issue.

Actually, I have just deactivated the Wordfence plugin and the pages are loading now.

Hi Jordan. I reverted to Backup successfully and then tried to perform the update again and ended up with the same error. So, I have again reverted to backup. So, the website is back. But WordPress needs updating as does the Enfold Theme. This is the state before I had the two unsuccessful attempts to update WordPress and the Theme.

I have added the Cpanel and wp-admin login details to the private panel.

Is there anything you would like me to try or will you have a look?

    Thanks for your prompt support.

In the meantime, I will attempt to restore a backup and try again. Thanks.

Excellent thanks Rikard. Disablig teh plugin worked. Regards, Mark

    Thanks Jordan

Here are the admin login details.

Thanks Rikard. That has worked and the theme has n ow updated successfully. Much appreciated. Mark

    Thanks Jordan
I have not changed anything in the theme except I have added some custom CSS. I am a consultant and not a developer so I don’t play with code unless something very simple. There are 2 sites at the same location and one theme updated without any issues (www.countrywidelandscaping.com.au) whereas http://www.countrywidepools.com.au failed with the error message.
The Cpanel login details are attached. Let me know if you need anything more thanks.

At the moment I don’t need any more help for this. Thanks.

in reply to: Fatal Error upgrading from Enfold 3.2 to 3.3.2 #498646

    Me again Elliott

I changed the theme from enfold to twentyfifteen then deleted Enfold and reinstalled the theme. Version 3.3.2 is showing. That has worked and I have not lost the changes I had made.

    So, all OK now.

    Thanks, Mark

in reply to: Fatal Error upgrading from Enfold 3.2 to 3.3.2 #498645

    Hi Elliott

Actually, I have just looked more into the website and just installing the config-layerslider folder did not work. It has allowed me into wordpress but the theme seems a mess. So, I am going to download Enfold from Themeforest and do a full reinstall of Enfold. There must be more incomplete folders from the update.

in reply to: Fatal Error upgrading from Enfold 3.2 to 3.3.2 #498643

    Hi again Elliott

While waiting for your response I removed the config-layerslider folder in File Manager via cPanel. I then downloaded the full version of Enfold and copied just the config-layerslider folder and contents via ftp. Now I can access WordPress. the theme is showing version 3.3.2 and all seems OK. The edits I had made to the theme all seem OK so far. So, it seems (hopefully) that I have solved the problem now. Hopefully it was just that one folder with issues.

Let me know if that sounds OK.

    Thanks, Mark

in reply to: Fatal Error upgrading from Enfold 3.2 to 3.3.2 #498639

    Hi Elliot

I cannot get into WordPress to delete the theme. I get that error.

Can I (in cPanel file manager) copy over the folders and files for config-layerslider/LayerSlider/ from another website that I have upgraded to 3.3.2? Might that work?

Otherwise, it seems that I will have to uninstall wordpress then reinstall a clean version.

    Thanks Ismael

Elliott from Enfold used the term “main container” in his response before mine. I don’t know what he meant. I was just responding to his post and suggestion.

In the menatime I will try the CSS.

I posted some images a couple of days ago. Here they are again.

in reply to: Fatal Error upgrading from Enfold 3.2 to 3.3.2 #498177

    Hi

I have been looking into file manager on cPanel since I received the fatal error on updating the theme. The file config.php is missing from the config-layerslider folder along with many sub folders and files under config-layerslider/LayerSlider/. I can see the config-layerslider/config.php file in my other websites with version 3.3.2 along with an update.txt file and with a number of sub folders/files under config-layerslider/LayerSlider/. Many of these sub folders and files are missing in the website with the fatal error. The only folders under LayerSlider are demos and includes and there are no files under LayerSlider.

Any idea why this file may be missing after the upgrade? Are other files possibly missing? Can I copy over the config-layerslider folder with all sub folders and files from another 3.3.2 website to try and fix?

    Thanks, Mark

in reply to: Alignment help for Bar above Main Menu & Breadcrumb #497478

    Hi Elliott

OK thanks for clarifying that the button in the top bar is causing the problem with the breadcrumb. I will have a think about alternative approaches I can use with the client to achieve the result we need. I them meantime, the recent custom CSS change making the button thinner is working OK. The custom CSS changing the padding to the main container does not work for the transparent header used on the home page so I cannot use that.

    Thanks again, Mark

in reply to: Alignment help for Bar above Main Menu & Breadcrumb #496813

    Hi Elliott

Sorry about this. I have only asked for help twice in 2 years since using Enfold and building many sites. I am not a developer so I don’t have much coding experience. It also seems I am in a time zone with about 12 hours difference to you so hence the response delays.

I have now fixed (at least temporarily) the alignment of the “Book Online” button with the phone number in the small bar above the menu. I don’t think that what I have done this is the correct the way to do it but I have changed the Phone Number and small info text to below. The small change I made is to change the position for the button to ‘none’. I am not sure if that is OK or not but it has fixed the vertical alignment (at least temporarily).

    1300 366 284 | [av_button label='Book Online' link='page,149' link_target='' size='small' position='none' icon_select='yes' icon='ue84e' font='entypo-fontello' color='custom' custom_bg='#48d130' custom_font='#ffffff']

The weird things is that the order I use to change the Phone Number or the CSS affects the result. E.g. if I change the CSS first then change the Phone Number in Header/Extra Elements then the alignment of the phone number and button is fine in the phone area. But if I make any change to the custom CSS after saving the content in the Header/Extra Elements phone area then the alignment of the phone number and button get messed up. Can you please confirm if there is a right or better way to do this?

Issue with alignment of extra elements in phone area

I also changed the padding in the css code you gave me to the following with 2px for above and below. The button was looking too thin and cramped with 0. This css code changes the breadcrumb. By using 2px for above and below the breadcrumb still looks OK and the button is a bit better.

    .phone-info .avia-button, .phone-info .avia_button { padding: 2px 10px !important; }

But, what I don’t understand is why this phone.info css affects the breadcrumb.

    Thanks again. Mark

in reply to: Alignment help for Bar above Main Menu & Breadcrumb #496476

Elliott, I am also wondering how entering that custom CSS which relates to the phone info fixed the breadcrumb. Thanks, Mark

in reply to: Alignment help for Bar above Main Menu & Breadcrumb #496468

    Thanks Elliott

That has fixed the breadcrumb vertical alignment.

Now in the small bar above the menu the Book Online button is a bit too thin and still not aligned with the phone number. You can see the phone number and button vertical alignment at http://www.backfocus.com.au.

    Thanks, Mark

Just adding this comment so that the Notify me by email check box is submitted as I missed it before. Thanks.

in reply to: Alignment help for Bar above Main Menu & Breadcrumb #496177

Thanks Elliott. I tried the CSS code above and that fixed the breadcrumb vertical alignment HOWEVER that stops the transparent header working. So, I have removed the css and the breadcrumb has gone back to top aligned. Any other suggestions?

The breadcrumb was fine until I tried some custom CSS then deleted it. Not sure why the breadcrumb did not go back to normal when I deleted the CSS.

    Thanks, Mark

The FTP details are now provided below.

in reply to: Turning on Custom CSS Class field for all ALB Elements #484397

Excellent thanks Rikard. That worked perfectly.

It demonstrates the great thing about Enfold. You can have no coding knowledge and still build really great websites.

Thanks for your responsive help. Mark
