in reply to: Portfolio Grid – Taxonomie #211684

    Hi Devin,
I still trying to fix my problem :-) Therfore another idea. At the moment I have the following portfolio categories:

    shoes
    -Baden-Württemberg
    –Stuttgart
    –Mannheim

    shirts
    -Baden-Württemberg
    –Stuttgart
    –Mannheim

If I’m using the portfolio grid on my site, I have to fill out “Which categories should be used for the portfolio?” in the backend and here is my problem.
In the selection field it looks like this:

    Baden-Württemberg
    Baden-Württemberg
    Mannheim
    Mannheim
    Stuttgart
    Stuttgart
    shirts
    shoes

If more categories are coming, its hard for me to figure it out, which city belongs to what etc. Is there an option to show the “slug” in the selection field of “Which categories should be used for the portfolio?” or to tag the categories e.g. Baden-Württemberg (shoes) but that baden-württemberg just appears in the frontend?

Any idea ? Would be great if you could help me.
    Best regards,
    Silberrot

    Hi Devin,

many thanks for your answer which is going into the right direction. The only thing I’m missing is the filter function that I have with the portfolio grid which I really don’t like to miss. I there any chance to have a filter like this also for the blog grid or any other chance to show the custom taxonomy within the portfolio grid.

in reply to: sidebar text alignment #137852

    Hi Ismael,

thank you for your message. Yes, I already aligned the text too the left side. But as you can see on the site, there are still space between the left screen boarder and the menu text. As described above, I would like to reduce the space between the menu text on the left screen boarder.

in reply to: sidebar text alignment #137850

    Hi Devin,

thank you for your email. What I mean is, that the menu on the left sidebar start not directly on the boarder of my screen, the menu text start around 2 inches from the left side. What I like to do now to move the sidebar menu closer to the left screen boarder that the space between the screen boarder and the menu text will be reduced to about 0,5 inches.

    e.g.:

    today:

    ___________anzug

    ___________beschallung

    ___________catering

    target position:

    <–

    anzug

    beschallung

    catering

    Hope this description helps.

in reply to: Portfolio category AND operation #138020

    Hi Dude,

many thanks for your help. I think the direction is good but it don’t work as I thought. You may know a solution. I have the following use case. The category catering, baden-württemberg, bayern, berlin belongs to several portfolio sites. E.g. first portfolio has the cat: catering, baden-württemberg, the second catering and bayern. Now I would like to show all catering cats that have also baden-württemberg or bayern. But what I don’t like that the music category will shown also due to a combination like music and baden-württemberg exists also.

    The cats look like this:

    music

    catering

    baden-württemberg

    bayern

    berlin

And the portfolio should show just the portfolios where Baden-Württemgerg or Bayern is marked and caterging.

Is there a chance? I know I could build subcategories – but with that I will have for each category 15 subcats at the end which is not that good. Therfore I would like to bring them on one level….

Sorry for the lot of questions.

    Best regards,

    Silver

    Dear Ismael,

many thanks for your quick response. The alignment works fine. Is there also a chance to set the text to the left boarder so that the first word starts on the left side boarder? I already implemented the code which the user dude recommended on my last question regarding decrease the sidebar https://kriesi.at/support/topic/sidebar-11

The site I’m playing with is the following: http://web409.mis63.de/?page_id=2664

    Hi Ismael,

thank you for your answer. I copy and pasted the code and also changed all the numbers (increased them by 50%) but the result wasn’t like I expected. I would like to ask you for an favor to mark / explain the code below and what happen if I change it where….

My target is to reduce the width of the sidebar by 50%.

    Many thanks for your patience!

    @media only screen and (min-width: 1340px) {

    Hi Ismael,

please find attached the link to the page I’m working with at the moment.

    http://web409.mis63.de/?page_id=2516

I was able to implement pictures to the tab with your hint. But will this also be possible within the Advance Layout Editor – because I’m not that good with codes…

Also in the example you can see that the space between the table cells are quite big – do you know an option that it looks like more in this direction http://web409.mis63.de/?page_id=2440 … actually I would like to give an overview about my different sites like you can see in the portfolio overview – but I don’t like to use the portfolio due to if I’m creating more portfolios I will lost the overview and it’s limited with the design.

    Best regards,

    Silver
