What would the Enfold Devs say to adding classes that I style with CSS Grid template columns. I do not need an Enfold solution as I could manage this from classes in the child theme. What do you think?

https://codepen.io/shrinkray/pen/vqoPyQHello Jordan,
While Quick CSS is safe, for an update, I did not believe that custom.css in the Enfold path was also safe. That info was a surprise. I have viewed forum posts suggesting changes to JS files. Wouldn’t it be better for these changes to appear in a child override? My child theme is built with a bundler with a hashed JS and CSS, so I am not worried about cache for changes.Still since the theme has a button that would allow someone to reset the theme, I don’t like keeping settings like that in core nor in the interface. I have a unique situation to be sure; I just want to know what practices are recommended by Enfold dev team. It is important to me.
I do not wish to offend; it is my desire to use and recommend best practices.
Kind regards,

Hello @rikard,
The accordion is working now. I think the problem was a result of enabling a performance setting, “load jQuery in the footer” . Moderator Mike helped that with his fix at reference URL https://kriesi.at/support/topic/animating-numbers-not-counting-up/#post-1118424
In other words, disabling the performance setting returned the result I wanted.

OK; I thought I did.
New post title is: ‘Mobile stacking order for uneven width columns‘You know I attended a WordCamp over the weekend and heard some conversations that pointed me to your solution. Thanks so much for following up and making the correction.
Thank you Victoria!
Why did I forgetdisplay: block;
!If this is not the appropriate place for this question I’ll repost elsewhere. For all my career, no one wants us to edit the core of something. Indeed there is info encouraging child-themes setup for Enfold. However, for most responses in the forum, editing the custom.css on the Enfold theme path is referred. Why is there not a recommendation to setup a custom.css file in my child-theme? When people update themes they will lose custom updates added by others. I took this project over from someone else and she had custom CSS in core. Shouldn’t that behavior be discouraged?
Many thanks and for your patience on my questions.
Shrinkray ;)Hi Nikko,
Thanks for jumping in.This is the current page. https://plaid.flywheelstaging.com/academics/
Below is a link to a design showing the desktop vs mobile layout. I apologize for not being more knowledgeable about Enfold. I didn’t know the version was out of date, I will add that to my list of things to check. Since reporting this problem, I’ve had other issues with your page tools; now clearly the version is responsible. I’m so glad you pointed that out. I love to learn how to get better mobile experience out of layouts.
Hello, this post is close to a problem I am working on. I sorely miss not being able to manage columns with something like Bootstrap. In a template I’m building,
[ 1/3 column A ] [ 2/3 column B ]I want to reorder in mobile so I get this outcome:
[ 1/1 column B ]
[ 1/1 column A ]
In order to rearrange with Flexbox, I’d need to have a row container. I can’t figure out how to get that. I’m not able to add an outer row to add inner columns like you can do with Visual Composer or more broadly, Bootstrap.I want to use this https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/CSS_Flexible_Box_Layout/Ordering_Flex_Items where the blocks exist in a section or row and I reverse direction on mobile.
But I can’t seem to find how to contain the two. I tried the switcheroo script, I’ll study that calc, however it is not working for me.
Thanks.
Hi Victoria,
Let’s close this ticket. The filter I used was unnecessary and everything is copacetic.
Thanks,
GregHi Victoria, Thanks for replying. I had it working, but right now the theme is causing the menu to not work at all. I don’t know what I did. If I move the menu to the secondary location and the menu works there so I think it has something to do with the alternate menu. I’ve deleted child-theme versions of the header and helper files so there’s no overrides. I guess I could reinstall the theme. Uggg. What did I do? The menu appears as a vertical list now no CSS applying Maybe the menu is disconnected from Max Mega Menu? This is depressing.
Maybe I should restart the computer. Tomorrow is a new day.

I’m trying a different mega-menu plugin, Max Mega Menu Pro. If this does not work, I’ll fall back to Uber. I prefer to work with a plugin I own a full license to, but it’s gotta work in the theme. I have a different problem with that one but will make a seperate post.
