in reply to: Latest Enfold theme not working with SEO plugins #326067

    Hi Peter,

Is Kriesi working on an update to fix the Yoast plugin issues other than telling us to increase the memory to 128M? Because increasing the memory doesn’t fix anything Yoast related issues that have surfaced with the latest Enfold update. Their latest updates 1.6 &1.6.1 changed and added quite a few things. I won’t be surprised if the random permalink change has to do with the new wpseo_json_ld_search_output or wpseo_json_ld_search_url additions on the last 2 updates. Have you guys checked these among others?

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Latest Enfold theme not working with SEO plugins #325342

I’ve got the same problems with the Yoast plugin after updated the theme to 2.9.2. Permalinks are changed out of nowhere and Google hasn’t updated pages changed since the update to 2.9.2. Since updating Enfold to 2.9.2 my site has fallen from page 1 to page 4 in the search results. Had to revert Yoast to 1.5.5 to temporarily (hopefully) solve the issues.
Please update Enfold to fix the Yoast issues.

    Hi,
Apparently there was a bug found on the Yoast SEO plugin causing that issue. It was fixed today on the newest update. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/changelog/

Update the Yoast plugin to the newest (v 1.6) update and this issue will go away.

in reply to: Is it possible to have two buttons in the Promo Box? #296500

    Hi Gunter,

Thank you for the reply! The fix that you suggested for the issue with the button does not work. Instead it breaks the galleries on the pages by making the main image much smaller. I don’t know why.

Haven’t implemented yet, but since I saw that your suggestion involved z-index, I changed the following on Firebug and it seems to work:

    av_promobox .avia-button {z-index: 5;}

z-index is currently set to 2 on shortcodes.css.

Regarding my first question about adding a second button to promobox element similar to what the full screen slider has, what php code do I need to implement for it to work?

    Thank you,
    George

    Hi Yigit,

The instructions how to use anchors to a page here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-anchors-to-your-page-for-single-page-navigation/ suggests to use the color section, which I have done in a couple pages.

What about in case that you need to add anchors to pages with a sidebar that a color section on the page other than the top is braking the sidebar layout? How can I add anchors in pages with a sidebar layout? Is there another element besides color section?

I need to add anchors to about 50 pages with sidebar layout to scroll down to a specific section of the page if the user elects, and as a workaround I have included the 3 elements that correspond into that section inside a text block element and then I hardcode a div id at the beginning & end of the text block element to accomplish what I need.

It also works if I enter an id to the wrap inside a code block element but that is semantically wrong and I cannot also visually see what the section looks like in edit mode. Is there another element besides the color section that an anchor will work as it supposed to in sidebar layout pages?

    Thank you,
    George

    Hi Josue,

Where can I download version 2.9.2? It’s not available at Themeforest downloads.

    Hi Devin,

Thank you for the clarification! Having used the actual Mega Menu plugin, I was very puzzled when I couldn’t find the title attributes within the theme’s Mega menu items.

in reply to: Main Menu #289989

    Hi Ismael,

    Thank you for the reply!

I believe that there is a possible bug on the Menu. The Title attribute doesn’t show next to the Navigation label field or anywhere for the matter on none of the Submenus WHEN the top menu item is checked to be used as a Mega Menu.

I unchecked it from being used as a Mega Menu and all the Title attributes on the Submenus below all of a sudden appeared. I then manually entered the title attributes on those sub menus that were missing and finally checked back the “Use as a Mega Menu” field on the top parent menu before saving.

That seemed to fix the issue as the Title attributes are there now… However I will need to do the same procedure I described above every time I need to add a new page on a Submenu child that its parent is used as a Mega Menu. I don’t thing that is a normal behavior, right?

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Tabular Table Issues #283970

    Hi Peter,

Thank you! As a matter of fact I’ve been using the tablepress plugin on my other site that runs on Genesis but to display a different type of data. The tablepress plugin is the best currently available to display a large number of columns on tablet screens but it doesn’t really work on the smaller smartphone screens when you also need to display more than 10 rows as the headings on the top rows get lost when scrolling down.

The Enfold theme’s table element is the best that I found to display large number of rows on smartphones but it doesn’t work on tablet screens when you also have a large number of columns. :(

Oh well! I hope that Kriesi will consider making it work on both screens sometime in the near future!

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Tabular Table Issues #283558

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately as I explained twice before not all data tables are the same and can work the same way.

If you take a quick look at the 6 data tables that I have created on the page, and perhaps try to recreate just one of the ones with the most rows (number of columns is equal on all) you will realize that sometimes we need to think more practical instead of technical. It is impossible for the reader who studies the data on the tables to understand the visible data without being able to associate it with the left description & top heading.

That currently only works when the whole table is visible up to 1140px media screens and when the table turns into one column (in 768px & under media screens) when the description turns into heading & the heading display right below each description on each column, which I think is a brilliant idea!

An easy solution it would be to break the table into one column at 1140px media screen instead of 768px, which I tried and works BUT it looks horrible when you just see a 3-digit number or a 2-7 letter words per line in an 1140px screen. :(

I’m pretty sure that there should be a way to make the tables a bit more responsive (break them at half and display them at 50% width in between 1140px to 768px, would be ideal and not too hard to accomplish wit a bit of css – imho) for those of us who use them to display data and not as a pricing tool which work fine as they are.

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Tabular Table Issues #283362

    Hi Josue,

Thank you so much for fixing it! What was wrong with it?

In regards to the responsive issue, is there any way that the tables can brake into at least 2 to 4 columns in the 769px to 1140px before they break to one column at 768px?

Thank you so much once again for your help and for fixing the caption issue!

in reply to: Tabular Table Issues #283333

    Hi Josue,

Unfortunately if I make the table scrollable instead of responsive, it defeats the purpose of using it. Because of the data that is displayed on it, the visitor MUST be able to see the headings on the top and the description on the left column at all times otherwise they won’t know what the data is about. That is ONLY accomplished by setting the table as responsive, which then the headings & description is available when the table adjusts to one column on the 768px and under media screens. Therefore yours & Ismael’s suggestion does not work for THIS type of data table.

I still need help on fixing the bug (?) issue that the caption data which is ONLY available under tabular data tables does not save. When I save the table, I can see the caption in the debug box, but NOT on the top of the table. If I open the table again to edit it, I don’t see the caption data previously added within the caption area. I need the caption area to display disclaimer info on each of the 6 tables that I created on the page.

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Tabular Table Issues #282953

    Hello Ismael,

    Thank you for the reply!

The table purpose is set to tabular (as the “Tabular Issue” on the title suggests) but it will not save the caption that is ONLY showing on the tabular settings. As I mentioned, I can see it on the debug box but it doesn’t appear on the actual table.

I don’t want to set responsible styling to scrollable… I need the table to be responsive under ALL media screens.

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: helper-markup.php on child theme level #282777

Great! Thank you very much Josue!

in reply to: helper-markup.php on child theme level #282775

I added this line of code require_once( ‘includes/helper-markup.php’ ); in the child theme’s function.php file and it seems to work as needed. Is it this though the correct way to do it or is there a most proper way?

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: helper-markup.php on child theme level #282762

    Hi Josue,

Thank you for the reply! Yes I have, but besides that don’t I also need some kind of function code in the child theme’s functions.php file to call the helper-markup.php file from the child’s folder instead of the main enfold folder? Something similar to the code that Peter uses to call the shortcodes within the (shortcodes/) child theme folder?

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Masonry type layout but for PAGES not blog posts #281494

There is a way to be done without a plugin. You set a page as the parent page (let’s say examples), set up all the pages that you want to display on the parent page as child pages of that parent page (example 1, example2, example3, etc.) and then create a template page only for the parent page (examples) where you can apply the masonry elements.

The template page that is applied ONLY to the parent page should be almost similar to an archive page and should include a script to call the masonry elements. Not easy, but doable. :)

in reply to: Title & Breadcrumbs Section #280448

    Hi Josue & Peter,

Thank you both very much! I got it working using a combination of your codes.

It worked with Peter’s code replacing the “Some html content” with the do_shortcode() function. Then from the shortcode I removed the [av_section] [/av_section] tags of the shortcode which was what was breaking the html and used everything else in between.

A couple lines of css to add color to the container divs and it now works as I wanted.

Thank you very much to both for your help!

in reply to: Title & Breadcrumbs Section #280347

    Hi Josue,

The above code works on all pages. I even mentioned array above, but didn’t even noticed that the array was missing. :)
It still though, the code will add the Advanced Builder shortcode element but then it breaks the rest of the page, no matter where I use it. I tried using it after the get_header(); call on page.php, template-builder.php and even template-archives.php with the same result. Breaks the page completely, even the footer on pages with Sidebar layout and bleeds the shortcode section’s color on the whole page when used on the No Sidebar layouts.

There should be an way to add elements (for a tagline or CTA buttons) to a hook between the header & breadcrumbs.

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Title & Breadcrumbs Section #280279

    Hi Josue,

Thank you very much for the code. It adds a section built on Advanced Builder above the Title/Breadcrumbs but then it breaks the rest of the page.

When the code used on a No Sidebar page layout, it fills the whole page content with the same color of that in the Advanced builder’s shortcode.

If the code used on Sidebar page layout, the section’s color remains only on that section, as it should but the contents inside the color section only use the page’s main content width (although the shortcode is for a full width section), it pushes the sidebar content to the bottom of the page and it also breaks the footer and socket sections by forces them to also use the left content of the page and removes the full width color from the footer & socket sections.

On your second code snippet for conditional pages, it only works on the first page of the array (it also breaks that page the same way as above) and ignores the rest of the page ids on the array.

I think that the best and easiest way for such a shortcode to work it will be to be included within a <div> in a page template (using the template-builder.php, template-archives.php, etc code) right after the get_header(); call instead of the functions.php. Is this doable?

Thank you very much again for your help!

in reply to: Title & Breadcrumbs Section #279873

    Hi Josue,

If I add this code to the Child theme’s functions.php instead of the main one, will the result allow me to save the Advanced Builder’s generated page with just that color section on top of the Title/Breadcrumbs as a template to use it on a few other dozen pages?

Or better yet, is there some kind of documentation similar to this guide that shows avia’s hooks so I can easily move whatever I need to the hook I need without having to bug you all the time? :)

    Thank you,
    George

in reply to: Duplicate Logo on Header #279870

    Hi Josue,

That fixed it… Thank you very much! Is this a theme bug when using two logos?

    Best,
    George

in reply to: Duplicate Logo on Header #279866

    Hi Josue,

On the screenshot that you took, I see two logos one on top of the other. If you look at the shot that you posted, you see two long red lines on the top right (one is shorter than the other) and you can also clearly see the duplicate light blue letters under the sun. Compare your screen shot to the single logo on the transparent header or to the logo of any other page but the homepage and you can clearly see that you captured is two logos. :)

Most likely you don’t realize the difference unless you know what the actual logo is because the normal logo that I use has the dark lettering (besides the light blue, yellow sun & red roof that is common in both) and he one I uploaded for the transparent header has white lettering, so you don’t see it on the regular menu’s white background :)

    Thank you,
    George
