It’s apparent other users are experiencing issues with content similar to my problem indicated here..which has not been resolved. I’ve changed servers, replaced/updated everything, disabled plugins and this issue/error still happens. Have you tested for limits in text boxes?
Will you be fixing this conflict with Woocommerce Memberships?
Is there no solution to this problem?
Thanks very much.
Well, any chance you can share the information so we can all optimize our sites :-)
Hey Elliott, what is the tool you are recommending? Thanks.
No, that didn’t work. I’m happy to do as much testing as you can think of to resolve this. Thanks.
No, Woothemes is crazy slow responding. No details from them yet. Counting on you guys to be stars and figure it out…thanks! I’ll send any info I get from Woothemes. I’ve used this same Memberships plugin on a dozen sites (not using Enfold) and never run into this incompatibility.
I have gone through the process of deactivated every plugin except Memberships. Still no luck.
I’ve gone to using the description and it’s working fine. Is there a way to have the thumbnails display on the post category pages like the main post archive page?
I have ‘Display title bar and breadcrumbs’ set on the Posts page. That should override the setting in the Theme options, but it doesn’t.
I’ve checked all of my other WP themes, and they all put the post category title at the top of the page when the category is selected. Putting the post category above the post title in the list on the archive/category page is not a solution. I submitted a graphic of the requirement. Can you respond to that please. Thank you.
Unfortunately that doesn’t work. Please see in the link attached. Click on any news category in the sidebar menu. The first category seems to be placing the correct category name above the post title, but none of the other categories work. The requirement is to have the selected category displaying as the title on the post archive page for that category.
Also included is a link to a graphic that shows what I am looking for with the category title as the page title.
Thanks.
Not sure we’re understanding each other.
If I have a post category named ‘Dogs’ and I have a second post category ‘Cats’, and I click on a link to the Dogs category, the url is “www.site.com/category/dogs/”, and if I click on a link for the Cats category, the url is “www.site.com/category/cats/” . Is there no way to pick up and display the specific category title, so the Dogs post archive page displays “Dogs” above the list of posts and the Cats post archive page displays “Cats”, so the user knows where they are.
I have this same request. If user clicks on the blog category in a menu, it shows the blog posts for that category so it would display the corresponding Category title above the posts. Doesn’t matter how many categories a blog post is in if the user is selecting by Category. Thanks.
Thanks. I’ve already re-installed WordPress and Enfold once and it didn’t resolve the problem. The fact that it works sometimes and not others, and only fails with these large blocks of text is confusing?
Thanks, yes I tried a different device and connection yesterday and had an error with the text on pastebin.com. I am suspecting a possible timeout on the server when I try to add a very large block of text. But, if that was the case I would have expected you to experience it if you used all of the text I provided. Can you confirm there are no limits to the number of characters or size with the accordion text area?
I have identified that something is wrong with this content as I am getting the same error when I copy into a text box. It is just plain text so I have no idea why it would trigger an error. Thanks.
Well, I just created a new page an added a new accordion and got the error. This accordion has 2 toggles with much more content in it than your test page. Is there some limit to the amount of content that can go into a toggle?
Problem page.
Here’s the page you can see the accordion problem on. Try to edit one of the accordions (I don’t normally have two). One works, one doesn’t.
Thanks
Hi,
Link to site included. I’ll need an email to set you up as a user so you can get into the admin. The issue does not appear on the frontend. Go ahead and deactivate all of the plugins if you need to. I’ve already done that and it didn’t help, but you may want to. Thanks.
Yes everything is up-to-date…WP, themes, plugins. Except Enfold has not updated the LayerSlider to the new version that has been out for some time now.
As I mentioned, I deactivated all plugins and it still didn’t work. It would work and save, and I could add more toggles for a couple, then I would start getting the error. I though maybe there was a limit to the text/content amount so I tested with brief sentences and it still went to error after a couple. I optimized the database, tried it on a completely different, then a new page. Cannot get it to work.
October 15, 2015 at 9:38 pm in reply to: Navigation going onto a 2nd line instead of responsive #519576What is the fix for the main navigation not being responsive on desktops/laptops please?
I found the problem. There is a setting in the LayerSlider ‘Use Google CDN version of jQuery’ to solve old jQuery issues. It was selected. When I turned it off, the menus work.
Just noticed the Layer Slider included in Enfold is out of date. Installed version is 5.5.0 and the updated version 5.6.2 with this fix:
This will also fix other potential JS errors, such as when jQuery is moved to the footer
Hi Elliott,
Yes, that’s exactly what I did, I switched themes, deleted the Enfold directory, downloaded the theme again from Themeforest and uploaded the theme directory, and re-activated Enfold. In case it was something in the child theme, I haven’t re-activated that yet.
Rikard,
Did you go to the Menus section under Appearance in the WordPress Admin. That is where the problem is, not in the builder. If I replace the theme, the Menus work fine, that confirms that the issue is with Enfold if I don’t have any plugins activated and have fully replaced the Enfold theme directory. Something in Enfold interferes with the Menus. Go to the Menus and try to reposition one of the menu items, you won’t be able to.
The problem exists in all browsers, yes caches cleared. Have tried on three different computers and the problem exists on all three.
I have replaced WordPress and the theme completely. And the max_input_vars was already increased prior to this issue starting.

Is there any update on this. Elliott’s solution did not solve the problem. The theme is pretty much unusable with this issue. Thanks.
