April 2, 2017 at 5:57 am in reply to: Full Width Easy slider not displaying with multiple images #770499UPDATE TO THIS POST – after many attempts it seems the problem starts as soon as you add a button and link…so I’ve improvised a slider with no links for my client.I need links on this slider, I’m not happy with what I’ve created but it’s all that is possible as the slider is SO flakey.
BUT, the page I need you to look at is http://sarahmanecoaching.com.au/testsite/sliders/ where the problem sliders are….
March 31, 2017 at 2:35 am in reply to: Full Width Easy slider not displaying with multiple images #769703hi,
a late reply to your post – sorry, it’s been a busy month.
I have reinstalled the latest version of wordpress – see message below..
……………….
You have the latest version of WordPress. Future security updates will be applied automatically.
If you need to re-install version 4.7.3, you can do so here:
…………………………
I have the latest version of Enfold – see message below…
…………………
(Theme Updates
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.0.4)
………………………
I have 1 plugin activated – Yoast SEO – which I’ve just updated, deactivated (slider still not working) and reactivated.
I’ve also configured the Full Screen slider with exactly the same images etc.
BUT, still no luck.neither slider is showing – I really don’t know what to do next and have a client screaming for this site to go live.
**I’ve used Enfold over 20 times (I have 2 accounts) and am having this same problem with the 2 most recent sites – I’ve never had it before. I currently have another ticket in on my other account and the reply I get with that one is the same, update and deactivate plugins etc… but still the problem on that other site I’m developing. I feel like this is the standard response. It’s a tiny site – 8 pages.
Please advise how to finally fix this as it’s becoming a big problem and will deter me from using Enfold again, which is frustrating as its such a good theme.
thanks,thanks for your help Rikard,
You’ve been a great help!
thanks for your help…This works well but I was wanting it for every page not just that page… can I make this change to the main css file?
Another couple of questions
– can I reduce the height of the white space between the top red menu (with home button) and the main menu area (with Women in the Bible etc black links) it’s the area that a logo would normally go in…my client wants to strip out as much white space as possible
– can I somehow force the 2nd menu link (Bible study activities, text) in the top red menu to align right keeping the Home button aligned left?thanks again,
Sarah
Wonderful! Many thanks Yigit…works perfectly :)
sarah
Hi Josue.. sorry for the delay…just seen this reply :)
I’ve posted a screenshot with instructions below
I’d just like to isolate the background colour of the box that displays in the References widget.
many thanks
sarahhi Rikard,
many thanks – this fix has worked perfectly!all issues sorted now – thanks again.
sarahmany thanks Yigit.
I have one more problem with the template – my icon images seem to have dropped off…eg, I’ve lost the burger menu icon so there’s no way of navigating on mobile devices… the same with social media icons on post pages and all other small icons such as arrows – do you have any suggestions on how I can get these showing again… I used backupbuddy to transfer the site over from another domain and I’m wondering if something went wrong in the transfer…or if the path has got broken somehow.
an example page is
http://www.ozsun.com.au/5-questions-to-ask-when-you-are-getting-awnings-quotes/
see the social media icons at the bottom of the page.thanks for your help,
sarah
thanks Elliot,
1 – works perfectly now!
2. – still not quite there… now just the last button moves down before the burger menu kicks in – which happens to be the Contact button so is very important for the business.
3. – thanks – problem solved!sarah
hi Yigit,
This worked perfectly – many thanks for your help!
My problem with the previous suggestions was with the conversion of the > – so thank you for pointing this out to me.thanks,
sarah
hi Ishmael,
thanks for this advice… numbers 2 & 3 are perfect now…but I’m still having problems with number 1 – The CONTACT US menu item is still wrapping down… I’ve put the style in the Quick CSS field… and removed Elliot’s previous suggestion re adding code to the custom.css file.I’m not sure why it’s still not working.
thanks
sarahhi Elliot,
I’ve got a couple more issues happening:
1. Im using the accordion slider for the home page http://oaklandsdesign.com.au/heights/ and whilst it’s showing perfectly in firefox it’s not rendering the image on the titled images in IE and Chrome…I can see that your sample one does in the Enfold preview sample…can you help me with what I’m doing wrong?
2. In my blog area http://oaklandsdesign.com.au/heights/projects/ – I’d like to change the normal andhover state away from red (on the Category links) as it doesn’t suit my theme – can you explain how I can change this.many thanks
Sarahhi Elliot,
thanks for this advice – I’ve added it to the custom.css file… that’s in the css folder of the enfold theme files… however it’s not making any difference.

Am I doing something wrong?
Sarah
Hi Yigit, sorry, yes, I forgot I’ve got a Maintenance Mode plugin switched on while I’m developing the site – no worries for now… I’ll ask again when the site’s gone live.

sarahthanks Josue, of course! I’m being very slow this morning!!
I’ve tried this and the bullet points are looking like they’re trying to display something different, just not the new image..I”ve checked the path of the image and that fine but for some reason it’s not showing.
cheers
sarahthanks Josue,
I’ve added the custom class to that text box but still can’t get the actual bullets to show – I’ve tried changing the code but am not sure how the code should look.
cheers

yes, follow that link and it’s the first set of bullets (currently grey disc) on the body of the page…. the text is:-
Exposes your children to the proud Indian custom of sharing cultural wisdom and folklore – from generation to generation

sarah- This reply was modified 10 years, 2 months ago by sarahed. Reason: hi Yigit, when I updated the theme to the latest version it has overwriten the styling on this last item of the menu - you gave me the above css fix but it's no longer working - any idea how I can fix this
