Hi Mike,
the speed person regenerated the thumbnails which fixed the issue of the post slider images on my home page, blog and destination pages. However, the featured images on the posts are still thin. This person keeps saying its a theme issue but it’s not. I scrolled up in this thread and it seemed like you said before Jetpack is the problem. Can you check on this? I want the images to be the size the image is on my Destinations page. The difference is the destination page is built with Avia where as the posts are in classic editor and I do not have as much direct control over the image size. Thanks, that is true. I’m frustrated because the person who did my speed optimization is not helping and keeps saying to ask you guys. I do not want these images to be so small. This is 100% the result of one of the plugins. I do not think it is Autooptimize or WP Rocket as I’ve used those even before enfold and that never happened to my images. Can you please try to look into this for me and see which one is causing it? Should I make a staging environment so you can check to see which one is doing this? I also do not receive much traffic between 10-1 AM EST.
Thanks Mike, I asked the speed team to look into this as I also am not familiar with the plugins besides WP Rocket. I understand why the post I recently published might not be adhering to the sizes, but do you have any idea why these two posts (published over a year ago) are blurry while no other ones are?
I just don’t understand why these two are blurry while no other ones are, even the new one isn’t blurry.
The image is still large too on mobile when you see the homepage.
Awesome, that worked. But on the homepage the image is still a weird size under “latest blog posts” also this has been a problem. I’ve been trying to talk to the speed person about and he said to ask you guys. For these two blog posts, the featured images are blurry when other ones are not. Can you please try to help and play around with the css and settings?
Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delay I noticed everything looked good and I forgot to come back and reply. You’ve been super helpful so thank you! I just published a new article for the first time since changing to enfold and I’m noticing the same problem where the featured image is short again. Can you check it out for me and see if its the same problem? Also on the homepage it’s larger than the other featured images in the “Latest Blog Posts” section
Thanks,
SamanthaHi Mike,
Thank you that issue seems to have been fixed. But the featured images are still very thin compared to what they used to be. How can I get them to be a bit longer in length?Screen shot is attached. It used to look a bit longer length wise. Width is good.
Awesome, thank you so much. The photos are a great size now and the text and separator looks good! Just two things:
1. How do I enable/disable these JQuery settings? Is it within the enfold settings area of my dashboard or somewhere else?
2. While everything else looks great, I’m noticing my featured images on my blog posts no longer stretch full screen. I used a code in the enfold documentation to make the featured images appear full screen. This is what I used. What should I change it to to make it full width with the new content size?
This is what I’m currently using, as taken from the enfold documentation. Attached is an image of what the featured image looks like now, where it is not fully extended to the edges of the screen:
} #top.single .container { padding: 0 !important; width: 100% !important; max-width: 100% !important; } #top.single .content { padding-top: 0 !important; } .responsive .single .container { max-width: 875px !important; }
The 875px is being used to make sure the text/ blog post photos are at 875px. But i’d like the featured image to be full width (1250px). This is only a desktop issue as everything looks good on mobile.
The first image is currently, and the second image is what it looked like before
I have attached a temp login so you can look into the H1 issue and width for the blog post slider images.
@ellephilips I had this problem too you need to click on support then “enfold” (in the top gray box you’ll see with amount of questions) then it will say start a new topic
Hi, I cleared the cache to make sure but the 40px code does not change, unfortunately.
I am also trying to remove the “/” that is next to the date but it only removes on mobile. I am using this code for that and it doesn’t work:
span.text-sep.text-sep-date { display: none !important; }
the other one did not work either. I’m not sure what’s wrong?
The slashes seem to be gone on mobile but not on desktop despite the fact that I did not add css for it based on media width.
Also, H1 will not change on desktop. It only changes on mobile view. Can you please assist?
Hi Mike,
I wasnt able to reply earlier as the forums were closed. I just changed the H1 in advanced styling and it still doesn’t change. The width does not change either. Please help, I really want my slider image previews to be larger like this site that I have linked and my H1s to be 40. Why are they not changing?
I also need to remove the slash after the date in my blog posts. This works on mobile but not on desktop. I just changed the H1 to 40 yet it still shows 30 px on desktop but shows the correct value on mobile. Why is this happening?
So many of my articles keep losing their spacing. I have spent hours adding tags to posts because they got messed up in the transfer and they keep disappearing. Why is this happening and why did the justified spacing occur? I have had to spend the last 2 hours manually adjusting all the posts to left-align
Thank you moving it to left aligned fixed it! It was not center or right aligned so I don’t know what the problem is as I did not change alignment.
But now I’m noticing my mobile footer is so close to the edge of the screen. How can I make it look normal like the text? I have the main content set to 325 px max width on mobile.
Also can you please help me on this thread? I provided my details in the last two comments
Hi, I’m sorry I really freaked out for a minute but it was because when I transferred the header.php file it was blank. Once I copied the parent header settings it went back to normal.
I am having issues again with my H1 heading not being the selected size on desktop view. It’s set to 47, but only shows this on mobile not desktop.
Also, the images on my blog sliders in my homepage and in my “blog” page have reverted to small sizes again. The images are set to display at 495×400 yet they’re not. I have my content width set to 1300px. Please can you help with this? I’ve attached an example of another enfold site that has this working correctly.
Sorry. When I copied the header.php file into the child theme, it copied completely empty. Everything returned when I copied the parent settings into the header.php child settings. YOu can delete this
What is this????
PLEASE HELP! My entire theme is gone and its just showing the HTML of the homepage. I don’t know what happened. Please help me I’m freaking out. Everything is ok in the pages but it is not showing. What is going on here??! I tried to add a header.php file and its all gone. Please help.
Also unfortunately the slash did not get removed with this code
Hi, yes that is fine but it’s the desktop of the blog posts that’s the problem. The homepage is all good.
Also, the post slider are small again on the homepage and on the “blog” page. Can you please make them the same size as that other site? I changed the site layout to 1300 px and nothing happened. I had this problem last week, the images increased in size, but now they are back to the small size they started with.
I have attached screenshots of the H1 tags on my blog posts in desktop vs. mobile. As you can see mobile is 47px but desktop is not for no reason.
1st IMGUR image: desktop H1
2nd IMGUR image: mobile H1Please assist! Check the other site I have linked for reference. Thank you I give you permission to make the changes in the code if need be.
Ok thank you this worked. Earlier in the week I had posted about my blog post slider images being larger. They got larger but they literally shrunk again for no reason. Can you please help me again? I just want them to be the same size they are on this home page. They literally shrunk for no known reason.
My H1 headings also reverted back to 30 px on desktop despite the fact that they’re set at 47 px in the enfold advanced settings. Please refer to the other site for the size I want my images on desktop. I’ve included the temp login.

December 21, 2020 at 3:18 am in reply to: How can I make this H1 title smaller without affecting other H1s #1268917Providing my temporary log in. This is about the newsletter form (I use Convertkit) that is visible on the homepage. The problem is the “Join the Newsletter” text is too large on mobile and it is an H1.

Yes. I am providing a temp login for you. I want the caption title on these masonry images to be at the bottom of the image, as is shown in the example site I provided in the IMGUR link to what I want it to look like. Will link again.
