Thank you Victoria. The language on that thread is pretty far over my head – any way to detail a bit more the steps that I need to take? I am not familiar with HT access files.
That worked, thank you!

June 25, 2020 at 1:21 am in reply to: Customizing header and paragraph text on homepage only #1225387Thanks for the response Rikard. I tried that, and it did nothing.
I do have my H1 and H2’s set to custom sizes already under “advanced styling”, is that potentially overriding this CSS?Thanks,
RyanYou may close this. Thanks!
That worked with the content below but now the content jumps around up top. I think that i am going to just develop my own portfolio widget using another content element. Thank you though!
Nicce! Thanks!
Thanks for the response Rikard. I tried that and it did not work. I changed the “custom ID attribute” from #9 to 9 and and they are still not jumping the the proper parts of the page.
as a bizarre workaround i made the ID “nine” instead of 9. Seems to work with words but not numbers. I will just do it this way, thanks for the info!

@rikard, the page is a draft, that is probably why you cannot access it without logging in. i have the credentials below.
@Guenni, that is what I did, that is what i did – edit > advanced > developer settings > custom ID attributes > #uniquenumberhowever the jump links are not working. They have worked in the past when i apply the ID to a color section, however this time i am trying to apply it to a content element (text block in this case). The reason I need to do this is so I can create jump links within one 3/5 layout element, because I want to put a shadow around the content, as you can see in the link in private.
Thanks,

that was an easy fix – thank you!
This reply has been marked as private.i uploaded the child theme, but it overrode all of my quick CSS from the main theme and messed up a bunch of styling on the site. How do i fix this issue? do i need to do a restore and copy paste the CSS from the main theme to the child theme?
just following up on this.
Thanks,
RyanHello,
That code block i added to functions went away and my site switched back to dd/mm/yy (i want mm/dd/yy). I tried re-adding the same block of code Guenni007 gave me and received the error:
“Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.”
*after receiving this error i checked my site and the preview text now shows mm/dd/yy, but after selecting the date it goes back to dd/mm/yy
thanks,
