  • Thanks for discovering this. What solution are you proposing for this ? We wouldn’t want to restrict the number of sliders on the home page to 5 or less as a permanent solution !!

Also – are there some parameters/options that we can pass on to the video slider code to programatically restrict the size the of the video being pulled from youtube.com to make that video slide not so weirdly larger than the other image slide sizes ? Ideally we would like to make the video to be 1500 x 430 like the images – even if it means the video will be cropped on the home page.

Many Thanks again for working with is to resolve this issue!!

We’ve tracked down the issue to a particular slider video being pulled from youtube in the slide on the home page. Once we remove the video from the list, the editor loads/opens up correctly.

The particular section (av_slide_full ) causing the issue is pasted in the private content below for you to help diagnose and advice.
Kindly look at the code segment and advice us on what we might do to resolve or avoid this issue.
Debugging has also been enabled on the site as you advised.

    Thanks.

    Hi –
Debug mode has been enabled for the child theme via (functions.php) to help you debug and hopefully fix this issue.
    Many thanks.

The link you posted in the private is not resulting in a 406 error at our end. The link/file/page displays a simple :
    “0”

Please clarify what you want or are requesting to help resolve this.

I am doing a complete 360 turn around on not being happy with your support services.

You made genuine and timely attempts at resolving the issues. Thank you.

We tried so many steps and as such I am not completely sure which of the steps fixed the issues, and so I unfortunately don’t have any proper technical solution to share with other users.

While this issue was going on, there was a very recent WP 4.5.1 Maintenance Release update that alluded to “..an incompatibility between certain Chrome versions and the visual editor “. Did this have any unintended effect on the Avia Layout Builder or Advanced Layout Editor functionality ?

If “Kriesi’s support” group know what the exact issues and solution was, please post here for other users of your theme. It’ll help avoid a lot of needless flaming and frustration on your forums.

But please stop suggesting the generic solutions of “install, uninstall, hard refresh, wait, wait, lather rinse and repeat solutions”. You have a great theme and your developers are obviously very smart folks – you can do much better.

If the issues are with upstream software code (WP, PHP etc) an appropriate response will be something like ….
“…Yes we are aware of some of these issues and we are working fast and furiously on it and waiting for upstream to fix bug <insert URL to bug XYZ123> ….. Please don’t make too many drastic changes to your site as, this further confuses issues. We will keep you posted. Thanks – Kriesi’s support”

Thanks for working with us on this.

    Hello:

You are correct- there are 3 copies of the theme; BUT they are in completely different folders. More-over we are using the enfold-child-theme.
Regardless, because you are the expert, we have gone ahead and removed the other enfold versions that might be causing any conflicts. The theme folder structure now looks like below.

The issue remains the same, even after doing as you have suggested.

    Thanks for your continued assistance.

    Dear Support:

Kindly help properly look into this issue. It is becoming rather frustrating being asked to redo or repeat basic troubleshooting steps that we’ve already gone through.

    – The issue remains even after manually updating the theme to the latest version available.

The layout editor is seriously broken. You would have noticed that if you’ve logged into the website backend using the credentials provided.

The front-end looks fine, but we can’t make any changes to the front-end via the backend due to these issues. URL to screenshots showing the issue is below.

Kindly help thoroughly look into this before responding with a generic solution.

Your expertise and time is much appreciated.

Hi – I am another frustrated user looking to support for help. I am experiencing similar broken functionality issues in the backend thought the advanced layout editor or avia…

Can you please tell me what your solution was ?

    Thanks very much.

Please see requested info in the private content area.
    Thanks.

Yes, we did. That solution does not work or apply to this situation.

Please help research this issue and provide a proper solution. We went with Enfold because of its claimed woo-commerce support. No being able to display a simple widget in a the sidebar location within a woocommerce page is really disappointing.

Below is the URL to a working theme and working site doing exactly what we are trying to replicate with the Enfold theme. The widget is titled “Product Search” in the right sidebar area.
    Thanks.

Please try the link again. It seems fine.

The widget in question works in the desired location for other themes that we tried. And so this does not appear to be a woo-commerce issue at all.

This remains a big issue/bug for us.

We are trying to add the widget the same way a user is supposed to add any other widget in WP/woocommerce.

We purchased the Enfold theme because it was advertised to have woocommerce support.

This is obviously not a new issue for Enfold/kriesi.at because other users have complained about a similar issue in your forum. For example:

    i) https://kriesi.at/support/topic/woocommerce-category-widget-not-working-in-shop-sidebar/

    ii) https://kriesi.at/support/search/woocommerce+product-category/?avia_filter_search=yes&avia_search_forums=all&avia_search_dates=all&avia_search_include=no

Kindly help properly investigate this issue and provide a proper technical response and solution or help escalate this issue.

    Thanks and Regards.
