You’re awesome! Thank you; problem solved. :)

Thanks so much for your response. I appreciate the support provided for the Enfold theme — in addition to the theme itself being well coded, the support is another reason I keep using this theme. Enfold is highly customisable and my clients are always happy.

Thank you so much Victoria! Worked perfectly…

I really appeciate the great support of the Enfold theme. Not only is the theme excellent, but when I do have the rare issue, the team at Kriesi is prompt to provide a solution.

    Best regards,
    Rhonda

    Thank you Ismael!

Initially updating the php did not work. However, I saw there was a theme update and once I applied the update to 4.6.2, the sliders are working again.

    Consider this one solved.

    Kind regards,
    Rhonda

Thank you for your response. For now, I’ve dropped in a duplicate slider with nothing other than the background image so that my client’s sites have the CTA and the internal link they need to promote.

I look forward to an update that resolves the issue, as I have quite a few other sites using Enfold and this plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Rhonda

    Thank you!

I have the same problem and am using the bundled version. The slide background shows up, but nothing on the slide itself shows up. Issue occurs whether mobile or desktop view, and just started within the past few days.

Trying to edit the slider by adding a new layer no longer works; basically Layerslider just isn’t working at all. These sites are being hosted on Siteground.

    Thank you, Ismael!

Yes, I think we can close this item.

Again, Mike thank you for the great support!

    Hello Mike,
First of all, thank you for the fantastic support provided! Works perfectly well. One of the things I appreciate about licensing the Enfold theme is the prompt and expert support the team provides. That’s a reason I keep buying licenses for new projects. :) I’ll make note of that previous thread solving this same issue that I failed to discover earlier.

One note: I did want to hide the search icon in the list of pages shown in the footer. To do that, I used the following css pasted into the Quick CSS form in the theme styling admin. Adding this info in case it is useful to someone else:
    #footer li#menu-item-search.noMobile.menu-item.menu-item-search-dropdown::before {display:none;}

    Hello Mike,

That search icon is now activated to be appended to the menu. It only shows up on the English menu, but not the Español menu. Yes, placing it as the last item to the right is perfect.
Credentials noted below in private reply area. If you can provide me with a short explanation of how you append the search icon to either menu, that would be great. More and more clients are asking for bilingual sites so I will run into this issue again.

    Thanks much!

I figured out the “Extra Elements” issue. I made use of the Custom Fields available in WordPress, and simply needed to figure out the correct field to change. After searching through the PHP documents of the parent Enfold theme, I determined that the top bar was echoing the value of the “phone” field.

My solution: on pages where the language is Español, I added a custom field with name “phone” and pasted the needed text as the value for that field on every page where the translation needed to occur.

So, that only leaves item #2: how do I add a search icon to the right side of the Español menu?

Follow up; needed to provide you with more information so that my initial request makes sense.

@guenni007 Thanks for sharing this approach! Worked very well.

in reply to: Update to 4.5.3 Fails #1059861

I have the same issue; since I use Enfold for multiple sites and have a license purchased for each site, so this is a significant issue moving forward.

YES, I read all the steps that Enfold authors provide for setting up tokens, and added the recommended envato market plugin, and it still fails with the same “Download Forbidden” issue.

in reply to: Latest theme fatal error #973387

    Hello,
Since I reverted BACK to Enfold 4.4, the issue is resolved.
Here’s the sequence of past events that prompted my contact with support:

—Initially I installed WordPress in brand new hosting. Everything was working just fine.
—I purchased a copy of Enfold at ThemeForest (4.4.1), installed the theme and activated it.
—When the screen refreshed, it was completely blank.
—Looking at the page source code in developer panel, only the opening and closing html tag was present.
    —On the error panel:
[14-Jun-2018 21:24:48 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare av_countdown_events_fallback() (previously declared in /txsvf.org/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php:16) in /txsvf.org/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php on line 8

I contacted my hosting vendor to do a back end hack and get anything showing again. I then uploaded a copy of Enfold 4.4 that I had in a file on my computer via FTP. When I went back to the WordPress site, things were okay again.

So at this point, I don’t know whether the particular copy of 4.4.1 that I downloaded from ThemeForest was corrupted or what. I will attempt to update to the latest version of Enfold again today, and will only contact you further if that results in a blank screen.

    Kind regards,
    Rhonda

in reply to: Google Maps Not Working #935486

    Hello Geoff,
I’ve had similar issues and it is quite frustrating. Here’s what I did that solved the issue.
Once you’ve set up a project at Google that will be associated with your specific website… https://console.developers.google.com/ go to the dashboard for that project and click that “Enable APIS and Services” button.

Enable the following 3 map APIs in the developer console at Google for the project:

    • Google Maps Embed API
    • Google Maps Javascript API
    • Google Static Maps API

It would be nice if the Enfold team could specify which map APIs will need to be activated in order for a Google Map to work with the theme. In my experience, enabling the Google Static Maps API alone does NOT work.

    Kind regards,
    Rhonda

Yes, Instagram widget problem solved! New version of file works perfectly; thank you Team Kriesi for providing excellent support for the Enfold theme.

    Many thanks, Ismael!
I have added that information to my contact with the plugin authors. Your expertise and great support is very much appreciated.

in reply to: Problems with Events admin area since theme update #763958

    Hello John,

Sorry about that; just changed it and forgot that I had done so.

Nevermind; I think I have solved the breadcrumb issue also. I went back into the Theme Options and selected the page to be used as the blog. Now my permalinks are cleaned up as they should be, and so far the original problem of the blog pagination appears to still be resolved.

So consider this case to be solved – at least for now. Fingers crossed…

in reply to: Non-existent posts show up on blog pages #757993

    Hello Jordan & Team,

Consider this issue to be resolved. My host provided direct access to the database via phpMyAdmin. I found the 3 blank entries in question, deleted them, and the stray links to non-existent posts disappeared.

Your technical support to help diagnose the issue and suggest a solution is greatly appreciated!

In addition to the fact that the theme is extremely flexible, reliable and regularly updated, the awesome support is one of the reasons that Enfold is a “go to” theme for me on WordPress project after project! Keep up the great work!

    Thank you,
    Rhonda

in reply to: Non-existent posts show up on blog pages #756711

    Hello Vinay,
Tried that plugin, but the pesky stray links are still there. I have contacted the individual who has access to the backend of this database via phpMyadmin, and we’ll take a look there.

Thanks for all the effort on this one. I will post an update here when we have one.

in reply to: Non-existent posts show up on blog pages #756537

    Hi Yigit,

Just did that and am now on 4.0.2. Unfortunately the problem is persisting. I will continue to search for anything in the posts that could cause this; if i can get rid of it I will add a note here.

in reply to: Non-existent posts show up on blog pages #753844

    Hello Rikard,

Don’t think so; just updated the theme yesterday and issue persists.

Some clues: this only occurs in the category of blog posts that have audio embeds. For some reason, the forward and backward arrows in the pagination do not show up in the bottom navigation. Instead, they seem to show up as those last 3 stray posts, entitled “Navigation”, “Primary links”, and “Secondary links”.

Does that help? I have gone back through each of these posts to make sure all tags are closed.

    Thanks much!

in reply to: Non-existent posts show up on blog pages #752107

Yes, here you go – and thanks in advance.

in reply to: Non-existent posts show up on blog pages #751693

Thought it might be helpful is I supplied the url in question. Scroll to bottom to see the issue. I am still checking the many posts to find out if there is an unclosed tag that could contribute to this issue.

in reply to: More Events Calendar Breadcrumb issues #744001

Thanks, Ismael – that worked! Apparently, there was an extra space or something introduced previously, which resulted in the php error. My host thought the issue might have been a result of updating the version of php, but obviously not.

    Best regards,
    Rhonda

in reply to: More Events Calendar Breadcrumb issues #741450

    Thanks Ismael,

Any particular place that should be added? And, is it okay to add this in a child theme function file?

Asking because I did add this snippet in the functions.php file of my child theme and got a white screen of death the moment I saved the document and navigated away. Fortunately I had a backup copy and FTP access so I re-uploaded the previous functions.php file and the site was immediately restored.

    Kind regards,
    Rhonda
