HI,
The above code successfully adjusts the relevant buttons, but messes up all the formatting for the rest of my site! (its over riding lots of text formatting in the main elements of my pages)
see http://www.buildup.org.uk for site with unwanted formatting changes in place
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Hi thanks Andy,
I’m currently using the ‘Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items’ setting. However when I click on each Main menu item on mobile the sub menu quickly flashes up then disappears. This isn’t a great user experience.
Is there any way of stopping this happening (either making the sub menu not flash up at all or setting the sub menu to fully reveal) without turning the ‘Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items’ setting off and showing the long list of all main menu and sub menu items?
Thanks again
HuanHi Thanks Andy,
Following this means ‘ABOUT’ stops being a functional link on the main menu and I can not click through to the heading page of the ‘ABOUT’ section.
To clarify, I wanted to:
– Keep the option of clicking through to each main menu item from Desktop (or by clicking twice in mobile)
– On mobile menu, be able to click once to reveal the sub menu and click twice to go to the main menu item. How can I achieve this?
Thanks again for your assistance
HuanHi,
I’ve replaced the ‘ABOUT’ page link on my site with a custom link and used #about as the URL, but unfortunately the page link didn’t work when I viewed the site on desktop.
I then added a ‘about’ to the relevant colour section, however after doing this menu link still didn’t work
Can you advise?
My sites URL is http://www.buildup.org.uk
Thankyou!
HuanGreat, thats done it.
Thanks!
Hi the site is http://www.buildup.org.uk
(the issue is in the google maps footer widget)
Thanks
HuanGreat, thankyou!!
Any Ideas?
Hi
Thank you for a quick response. However unfortunately that hasn’t done anything

Hi thanks,
I’ve made some changes to the custom.css file. Will these be effected by updating the theme?
Huan
Thanks

The website should work now
I’ve applied the above coding on the home page but when the separator (which currently keeps the heading in its current position) is removed, the header returns to the centre of the colour section.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Hi
I’m afraid that hasn’t worked either.
This is what i’m trying to achieve: http://imgur.com/OOaOAfg
Thanks again
Hi, Thankyou Yigit,
However this code has the opposite effect; its makes the highlight fatter, (rather than thinner) in a vertical direction
Any ideas?
Thanks again
March 29, 2016 at 11:24 am in reply to: Aligning special heading to bottom of colour section #604371Hi thanks Yigit,
However what you see now is temporary solution where I’ve used a separator to set the distance the heading is from the top of the colour section.
What I would like to do is set the distance the header is from the bottom of the colour section at all times, so when the website is opened in different sized windows the heading text is always visible. Is this possible?
Thanks
HHi, thank you!
Thats mostly worked. However is there any way of adjusting the extent of the highlight in the vertical direction? Currently the highlight for a line of text is overlapping with the line below / above.
So is it possible to make the highlight hug the text tighter in the vertical direction?
Thanks!
Anyone have any ideas please?
Thanks!!
Hi there
I’ve tried the above instructions and unfortunately they haven’t worked. My site however is now live (www.riskagency.org).
Would you be able to please give me another suggestion?
Thanks
Hi
Thanks Begrafriks and Rikard.Unfortunately I haven’t been able to solve the issue.
When I use the code originally provided by Yigit, I am able to successfully achieve a highlighted block around (and behind) my text. However the block is rectangular shape, so there is a highlight in areas where there is no words / text. (as shown in lower example in http://postimg.org/image/rui8djhrr/)
However what I want to achieve is JUST to apply a highlight to the area immediately behind and around the words / text. (as shown in the upper example here http://postimg.org/image/rui8djhrr/). The bottom example illustrates what I can get using Yigits previous code recommendation. \
Please let me know if this is not clear.
Thanks again for your help
Hi thanks both for your help.
However when I use the code below I get a box around the text as I have had before. In case it wasn’t clear what I want to do is just highlight the text itself (as shown in the top example here http://postimg.org/image/rui8djhrr/, what I have already is shown in the bottom example).
h1{background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5) !important;padding: 5px !important;}
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry Its currently off line – can I explain more?
Thanks
