Now the footer is completely gone. Whether I am I switch to Enfold or stay in the child theme. This is so not cool.

Very cool. Never knew about the plugin.

in reply to: Footer Widgets Cannot be Edited #1398695

Well, just my luck. I did not get an email notification of a reply.

The problem started in November 2022 to the best of my knowledge, prior to that the footer appeared correctly.

All the correct information is (and has been) in Appearance – > Widgets, it shows three footers (Footer Column 1, Footer-Column 2, Footer Column 3 with all the information I input 3 years ago). This information doesn’t show under “Customize” and it doesn’t show up on the website.

I have this issue on all my Enfold sites, but my workaround has been to go to Customize – > Widgets and change the information there.

Unfortunately, on this site there is literally nothing there when I go to Customize – > Widgets. It is as if it thinks I have no widgets. When I go to Enfold – > Footer, it shows that I have chosen to have a footer with 3 columns.

Now it shows the navigation in the very bottom footer and I don’t know how that happened. Shoot me now!

I don’t know where the interesting links, pages and categories came from, and the navigation at the bottom! What the what…

in reply to: unable to use the Theme Forest token to register #1371486

It does. I followed the directions. I have 4 other tokens that are working perfectly. And I have purchased Enfold 7 times.

I’m having the exact same problem.
I put in the token I have generated and get this in response:
Last time we checked the token we were not able to connected to Envato:

So, I need to copy down all my custom changes? All my custom CSS?

I assume that after I upload and activate the new theme, all of my “changes” will no longer exist. So I need to go tab by tab and be sure I have documentation of each and every choice and change that I made to the theme?

Does the export feature work? I mean it obviously took me weeks to develop this site and now I am going to have to upload the new theme and in a matter of hours get their site “live” again.

    This is a true nightmare.

Is there any workaround to not having their site completely messed up and live!

in reply to: LayerSlider Not Activated #1151129

I’m two versions behind and WordPress recommends I that I cannot update to WordPress 5 unless I update this plugin, so I hate to be a pest, I just want to be sure this won’t break my theme if I update.

    Thanks for understanding my paranoia.

    Victoria,

I am running the latest version of Enfold and yet it shows that I need to update LayerSlider (it also says it is NOT Activated).

    So I don’t know what to do…

in reply to: Google Maps – Can't connect with your API key #1141850

Actually, I’m not sure what went wrong. I deleted the API, went through the process FOUR more times and then it worked. I did the API process exactly the same each time. I didn’t find it a fun experience. I do appreciate your “checker” so at least I knew when it worked.

in reply to: Google Maps – Can't connect with your API key #1141040

I’m mystified. I just logged in with the user name and password (I copied from above) in chrome.

I have more details for you in private.

in reply to: Images in Catalogue Don't Scale #569552

Thanks. It doesn’t resize the image, but it does fix the problem!

in reply to: Images in Catalogue Don't Scale #568248

    I have a link.

For the menu’s the images don’t get smaller so all the text is just in a very long column on the right.

When I check your menu on my iPhone it does not look like this at all, your image scales (so it is smaller).

My image on my iPhone is the exact same size it is as on the desktop version.

in reply to: Images in Catalogue Don't Scale #567431

Oh, I turned the backupwordpress, tablepress and twitter feed plugin back on in case my client looks at the site….

in reply to: Images in Catalogue Don't Scale #567429

The WP Super Cache Plugin has never been turned on (I”m no dummy). So I don’t need to clear the cache. It is just a plugin that came with our hosting. First thing I did was turn it off because you can’t develop with it on.

I turned off every plugin and guess what. No changes. And yes I cleared my cache, I even dragged out another computer I never use to try it on that, so it is not a conflict. I have deactivated (and left off) the Mojo and WalkMe (who needs them anyway) plugins from Hostgator (I use the hosting companies my clients provide).

So basically, Akismet has never been activated, Jetpack is not activated. WP Super Cache is installed but it has never cached as I never turned caching on.

MoJo Marketplace and Jetpack are now deactivated.

I have BackupWordPress, Easy Twitter Feed Widget and TablePress as the only active plugins. I did deactivate these (so essentially there were no active plugins) and tested the site through screenfly (quirktools.com/screenfly) where cache is not an issue. It still has the exact same problem. The images do not resize.

    Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As requested…. I appreciate your help.

in reply to: Images in Catalogue Don't Scale #562111

I updated, but unfortunately this did not fix the issue.

in reply to: Social Icons Not Enlarging #489771

I figured it out. The code needs to be:

    #top .social_bookmarks.icon_count_3 {
    font-size: 14px;
    }

because I was using 3 icons.

    Duh! Sorry to bother you!!!

When I remove the sidebar the transparent headers go away. Go to the site now. I have “eliminated” the sidebar and note that I no longer have a transparent header. If you check the code you will see that the only thing I changed was the sidebar. I still have the transparent header selected.

I thought I should be able to have both the option of no sidebar and a transparent header. I am sorry if my comment above was confusing in some way or if this is not possible. I am running on little sleep and client that wants their site by April 21st. I’m trying to get 3 sites done by next week and I don’t think I can achieve this goal.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

page with sidebar has transparent header
