I literally did everything the EXACT SAME WAY, and now, it seems to be working. I feel really stupid. Yay!
Thanks for your help, Andy.
That…is really odd, since my company’s CEO saw it and complained about it (and he’s in a completely different country). I was able to replicate the issue everywhere…Firefox, Chrome, you name it. What browser were you using?
I’ll try making the front page from scratch a second time, I suppose. :/
…I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. The top half of the page displays things normally. The bottom half does not.
If you visit the page on mobile, and scroll all the way down to the bottom, you’ll see that the formatting changes. The top half is “mobile friendly”, and the bottom is not.
I would like to know why it is changing half-way down the page.
(I should add that I’ve deleted and rebuilt the portfolio grids on this page before. It hasn’t worked.)
Hey Andy,
I never had an issue with the content showing up. I’ve had issues with content being formatted correctly, though.
This is what I’m talking about. The item on the top is responding to being viewed on a mobile device, whereas the stuff on the bottom isn’t.
(you can also duplicate what I’m talking about on desktop, if you make the window narrow enough.)As for plugins, I did deactivate them, but nothing changed.
I should add that the desktop version of the site does the same thing (at a slightly different location) if I try to use the advanced styling tab instead of adding CSS to the custom CSS box or the actual .css files.
I wouldn’t think so, but I did add some custom CSS to my child theme’s style.css file. I’ve only got basic knowledge of css, so I very well could have broken something on accident.
I should say that it only stops working *halfway* down the page. The top half is fine, for some reason.
…and now it’s working. I’ll keep this handy if it becomes a problem again. Thanks.
I don’t know why I haven’t responded to this yet, but it worked perfectly. Thank you!
Hi Elliot!
Giving it a minimum height worked! Thank you.
Is there a way to remove the borders/outline around each box, too?
So, you could force the cells to be the same size, but I’d lose the ability to have multiple lines of text?
I talked with my boss, and he was fine with moving the addresses out of the header.
I have a different question now…should I start a new thread, or am I good to ask here?
Hi Yigit,
I’m still having issues with adding the text to the header. I wanted the text to be right aligned on the other edge of the header, but it’s pushing everything down, and it’s left aligned.
My boss wanted the text and the logo to be around the same height, so that the slideshow under it wouldn’t get shoved around too much.
Is there a way to add the addresses in the header?
