    You’re right. The user is an author.
    What is the minimum amount of permission i can give to allow them to access and edit pages?

    in reply to: Cannot edit anything #970569

    Basically just drag a module into the editor. Once it places, you click on it and the error pops up.

    yes i finally go it working. your instructions were perfect. the reason i didn’t see the changes i made come into effect was because i had to reset the cache stored through the W3 plugin.

    Thanks for al the help.

    Yigit,

    Thanks for the advice. I just did the overwrite using the FTP login.
    However the hack is still there. Anything else you can advise on? it’s peculiar how this is only happening with you omit “www” in the url.

    will this require me to rebuild the website and all customizations and plugins? or will only the necessary system files be updated?

    in reply to: functions.php hacked #526523

    does anyone have any ideas on this?

    in reply to: functions.php hacked #525330

    i managed to get access to the .htaccess file (the server had it hidden). i added that code to the top of the file ahead of the other code that was there. this didn’t change anything and the hack is still there. any other ideas?

    in reply to: functions.php hacked #525128

    where can i find the .htaccess file? it isn’t in the root folder of my wordpress installation

    in reply to: functions.php hacked #524511

    yigit,
    I have uploaded the functions.php and removed the coding that you recommended. But this hasn’t changed anything. I’ve tried to update the theme, but there aren’t any updates available. Can you please log in and take a look?

    thank you for sending this. I have included login information in the private section of this message.
    i followed your instructions and there actually isn’t a functions.php file. I deleted it (it did have that code at the top). but i can re-add if you like. but whether i deleted the file or the code that you mentioned at the top, the hack is still there. at the moment there is a functions-enfold.php file.
    you’ll see that i do have security measures set up like you listed to help prevent this. but it evidently didn’t work.
    some help would be very much appreciated. Thank you a lot

    This is perfect.
    Everything works now.

    Thank you

    in reply to: Iphone Rendering #435385

    This is working much better. The only thing now is that there is big gap between the main slider and the next content in portrait mode. Should i have kept part of the other code that went up?

    in reply to: Iphone Rendering #434903

    is there anyway to insert some code that will scale the image up or down to fit any device, whether in landscape or portrait mode, except for a computer where it will stay a fullscreen slider?

    Robert

    in reply to: Iphone Rendering #434331

    Yigit,

    So i’ve made that change and it’s a little better but still not perfect. In portrait mode, the image no longer doesn’t repeat vertically, but it looks like it doesn’t stretch horizontally and repeats horizontally. In landscape mode everything still seems to be good.

    Any thoughts?

    Robert

    in reply to: Iphone Rendering #434324

    Yigit,

    I’ve added that code but nothing seems to have changed.
    What i currently have in the Quick CSS box is:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    #fullscreen_slider_0 li { background-size: contain !important; }}

    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    .avia-builder-el-0.av-minimum-height-100 .container, .avia-builder-el-0.avia-fullscreen-slider .avia-slideshow {
    height: 167px;
    }}

    Thanks for this.
    It actually sort of worked. The image fits now, however it is repeat three time in portrait mode to fill the whole screen rather than just being there once and continuing on with the next content below it.

    Elliott,

    Thanks for the message. You’re right.. that was exactly the problem. I had turned on the Minify feature in my W3 Cache performance plugin.
    Appreciate the help

    Yigit!
    That’s awesome! it worked thank you so much for the help!
    Once again… Kriesi / Enfold actually is the best wordpress theme!
    Is there any security plugin that you recommend i use to prevent this from happening again?
    Thanks everyone for the diligent help as well.

    hmmmm… okay thank you Josue.
    Would installing wordpress again via ftp prevent me from having to rebuild the whole website? I mean is doing through ftp vs the another method more of a “repair” version rather than a “format” version? or will i have to rebuild the website all over if i reinstall wordpress?
    if i don’t have to rebuild the site all over then do you have some instructions on how to do it via ftp?
    if i do have to rebuild the site, first i will contact my host and so i just want to make sure there isn’t a way i can use a “firebug” chrome type plugin to just find the spam link and remove it from the css files directly?

    in reply to: menu spam? #378168

    Thanks for all the assistance everyone but i haven’t been able to solve it. I changed the theme and the spam was still there and then i tried deactivating each plugin but the spam continued to stay there.
    Any additional tips?

    in reply to: menu spam? #377844

    when i try to add a new piece to the mega menu i now get the spam above (in addition to below) the menu.
    I will have to remove the menu all together soon because i can’t have my clients seeing me selling cialis on the website… so i’d appreciate some help.

    Thanks

    in reply to: menu spam? #377842

    i don’t know. i haven’t changed the theme because i would prefer no to lose all of my enfold site settings.
    It is however, only in the menu. when i turn the menu off, it is gone. If someone could help me find which css file these seemed to have embedded itself into i can remove the line of code myself.

    in reply to: menu spam? #377662

    I have updated to WordPress 4.1. The problem has not been solved. In addition the text that was display is now different but still there.
    What security plugin do you recommend.
    Please note that i hadn’t changed anything on the website for weeks prior to the spam. so i would expect a security plugin to prevent hacks but how do i remove the one that is currently there. It seems to be only embedded into the mega menu… everything else is fine.
    Are there any other recommendations on how to get rid of this from the forum?

    in reply to: Sidebar Alignment #256900

    Actually… that may be exactly it. i have a full slider along the top.
    however… it’s almost the exact same layout as the sample page has: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold
    when you click on pages from the mega menu you’ll see a full page slider and then below it is a page with a sidebar menu. i’m trying to achieve the same look.

    Robert

    in reply to: Sidebar Alignment #256252

    Thanks for the details.

    I thought that maybe the problem was occurring because i was trying to list a custom menu in the side bar that wasn’t subpages but instead was a main menu with no parents. However the menu still showed just not inside the sidebar but below all of the content. And the same thing happened for other widgets too… not just menus. So i don’t know that this is problem.
    Our website is http://www.invisivision.com however the particular page that i’m working on isn’t published because it has confidential information until our launch on May7th. At that point maybe i can post some more information, but until then i’ll have to make a dropdown menu from the main menu.
    Thanks

    Robert
