VincentHi Ismael,
Thanks. The click event works now. But it’s not opening the image in a lightbox but in a separate page.
Is this not possible?Kind regards,
VincentHi Ismael,
Thanks!
If I add the code to functions.php the clicking event still won’t work.
Any thoughts?Kind regards,
VincentHi Ismael,
I have add it to the Quick CSS field. It worked fine before the update.
Kind regards,
VincentHi Ismael,
The previous code about the caption overlay won’t work anymore after an update to the newest Enfold and WordPress version.
How could I achieve this again in the newest version?
Is something changed in the naming of the grid elements?
The caption is now shown underneath the picture again. But with the correct background opacity etc.
I’m thinking this has something to do with the position relative and absolute style in the parent element.Kind regards,

VincentHi Guenni007,
Activating the “Portfolio Small” size did the trick.
I will test this on a retina display, but normally i would be good also!
Many thanksRegards

The images are shown on a portfolio pages with indeed a portfolio grid.
But the images are also shown on the homepage, ad random, in a post slider.
This post slider loads the portfolio items in.
And in this post slider the images are scaled down… and has a negative effect on the pagespeed. If you are looking at the homepage: http://www.graphius.com/en/ at the products section under the news. These are the images that are scaled down.
Kind regards

I have let my images optimized by the WP SMUSH PRO plugin. So they are al the smallest size possible.
But if i test my website through GTMETRIX i got this info:
http://www.graphius.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/cataloog-02-495×400.png is resized in HTML or CSS from 495×400 to 199×161. Serving a scaled image could save….
So the images are scaled. In hummingbird this info: Compressing and resizing http://www.graphius.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/cataloog-02-495×400.png could save….
–> If any images in the list above recommend “Compressing and resizing”, that means their dimensions are scaled down in your content compared to the actual file dimensions. You can crop or scale those images using the WordPress image editor to match the embedded size in your content.
I have tried to crop or scale them, but then they are not shown correctly on the portfolio page and detail page.
I don’t know what i could do more to help this. I need a better pagespeed.September 27, 2017 at 8:04 am in reply to: Optimizing pictures on the homepage (losing speed). #857351Hi John,
Yeah i have done most of them, but “OPTIMIZE IMAGES”: i need a customization on the homepage.
The images shown on the homepage are scaled images of the portfolio page. So these images are scaled and slowing the proces down.
I would like that you guys help me with the customization on the homepage, so that the homepage not scaling down the same images.Hi,
Updating the enfold theme did the trick.
Best Regards
VincentThe problem is solved with the plugin “Scripts n Styles”
I think it can be done by Javascript.
But i’m not sure how to add JS to WP.- This reply was modified 7 years, 6 months ago by Studio55.
