Hi Ismael
Thanks for getting back. I do understand that the variable image doesn’t work. But what I’m asking is – is it possible to mix product pages so that the variable products would be default editor and the simple products would remain in Advanced layout?
Or do they all have to be one or the other?
Cheers
SteveHi – no need to respond, as I fixed it by redoing the category.
Hi Mike
It’s occurring on the product sliders on the homepage.
The price shows up on the products, but not the “Buy Now” or “Show Options” buttons
Cheers
SteveHello? Can anyone help with this?
But I’d really appreciate an answer to my other post about variable images not changing – it looks like my posts have been ignored?
Don’t worry I’ve fixed it

SteveHi Rikard
Thanks for getting back
I managed to find the solution from a previous post in the forums..av-preloading-logo img { max-width: 100%!important; max-height: none!important;; float: center !important;
}
Which fixed it – but odd that it’s doing it?
Cheers
SteveHi Can anyone help on this?
Thanks Steve

I’m still having the same problems although they are intermittent. ie sometimes it’s working fine sometimes it just hangs on simple things like pressing update or preview.
Today the plugin Jquery migrate helper threw up this message re enfold:-
https://……../wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/js/avia_mega_menu.js: jQuery.fn.attr(‘checked’) might use property instead of attribute
– Could this be anything to do with it?

Thanks for getting back – I have mentioned the updates to the sql server. They are looking into it (although that was a week ago!)

Sorry I took those user details off, when I proceeded to try and resolve the problem myself and was able to put a sticking plaster on the problem by increasing max_execution_time to 3000
and max_input_time to 6000 in my php settings. I’m using php v7.4.11
It has fixed the time outs but not really the problem causing them which I really still don’t know.
However it is still taking ages to even preview a page. I find I have to update the page first, else if I don’t, it just keeps spinning for about 5 minutes before previewing. Updating is also slow but not as slow as previewing. Uploading pics has got slightly faster since increasing those settings above (also memory _limit was already on 256m). But is still slower than usual. `
I had turned all plugins off (except woo commerce) and the problem still persisted.

PS sorry again I posted this on an old post! I need some sleep!!Hi Rikard

Yes that 504 is all part of the error message I was receiving before. I have been in touch with my host and they say it is a plugin problem. If I turn off all plugins the problem goes, but if I activate just woo commerce it returns.
If you get a 504 and you try 5 mins after you may get in as the server resets. I’m having the same problem too and the site was supposed to go online today!

SteveHi Rikard
Yes please close topic
thanks again

Hi Rikard
Thanks for getting back – It’s fixed now – It was down to a user at the school inputting some bad css!
Cheers
Steve
Thanks! Rikard that did it.
Hi Victoria
I’ve tried many variations, the latest is this
li#menu-item-326 a:link { color:#f9ae00 !important; text-decoration: none!important; } li#menu-item-327 a:link { color:#e6007e !important; text-decoration: none!important; } li#menu-item-328 a:link { color:#ffffff !important; text-decoration: none!important; }
Which works for item – 327 (apply for year 12) in magenta
but not for item-326 (apply for year 10) which should be orange
It seems to flash orange on page load but then overrides back to white?Hi Jordan
Yes they should reduce as the site reduces – they have been set at a size for the largest screen size (2560 x 1600) but they don’t seem to want to reduce.
I targeted them on an iphone and smaller with
/* control size of link graphics*/
#front_page_links img {
width: 50% !important;
margin: auto;
padding-top: 10px;
}
But when I apply this with media queries for ipad – it doesn’t seem to work.? They stay at the maximum size.Cheers
Steve
Hi Jordan
Thanks for a quick reply! that fixed it!
Could you also help with why I can’t seem to target the 4 icon type images in the mauve color section (after the tweets).it works with :-
/* control size of link graphics*/
#front_page_links img {
width: 50% !important;
margin: auto;
padding-top: 10px;
}
on an iphone resolution.
but applying to other device sizes – they remain at 100%? I’ve tried using individual image classes but still the same. Ideally I’d like them to shrink with everything else (as the photos do) without putting any css in?best regards
Steve
This reply has been marked as private.This reply has been marked as private.Hi Yigit
Thanks for a swift reply! It works great except for when I hover over it, it is like an underlined link rather than the search form. I then have to click the link to see the form (rather than just hover to see it as it usually does when it’s elsewhere).
Also how can I target this to give it some margin (and the blue sub-menu background mentioned above to get it transparent) with css ?
Cheers
Steve
Hi Jordan
It doesn’t seem to alter things even without my custom css – the links are all over the place and the last menu item (contact us) is going off the page.See screenshot of what I’m experiencing
Best regards
Steve
PS did you get the login details?
Hi Jordan
,,,,can you help?
Cheers
Steve
Hi Jordan
Thanks for replying so soon!
I have made a little customisation in custom.css and I’m using Enfold 3.47
CheersSteve
Hi Rikard
Thanks for getting back – I have sorted the problem – someone pasted the css in the Google Analytics Tracking Code panel instead of custom css panel
The result was that the css appeared printed above the site.Cheers
Steve
Hi Yidgit
