Hi Mike,
Yes, you can close this item now thanks.Regards,
Peter.Hi Ismael,
Perfect! Much more readable. You guys are great!
Regards,
Peter.
Hi Ismael,
Sure, I’ll add the URL below.
Regards,
PeterHi Yigit,
I’ve tried this but it doesn’t seem to work (I even tried adding !important)!
Any other suggestions?
Peter.
Hi Ismael.
OMG thank you SO much. This issue has been driving me nuts!!!
So what you’re saying is I highlight the text with the colour I want FIRST and then add the bold? There is one other issue you may be able to help with: The letter spacing on my page id and blog entry seems quite wide.
How do I decrease the spacing between the letters?
Kind regards,
Peter.
Hi everyone!
Just wondering if this issue is any closer to getting solved?
I think there was a bit of misunderstanding at first – i simply want to colour SOME but not all, bold text in blue.
It used to work just fine and I’ve included my second to last post below as if you check it out, you’ll notice that the navy blue colour works in one instance (just below the image) but fails to do so in the very next paragraph!
Very bizarre
Cheers,
Peter.Hi Mike.
Thanks for that. Unfortunately, it’s not quite the effect I was after!
My intention is to lighten the blackness of bold text which I’ve achieved no problem in General Styling.
Then, only for certain text, I want to colour the bold text blue – not ALL the bold text.
It used to work just fine and it seems such a simple requirement, I don’t understand why it’s causing so much trouble!
So, in summary, I still want black, bold text (#3b3b3b) but be able to colour the bold text only in certain places by highlighting it and clicking on the Text colour palette.
Kind regards,
Peter.Hi Mike,
Of course, the login URL!
I’ve included below with all the other usernames and passwords.
You shouldn’t have any trouble now.
Kind regards,
Peter.Hi Mike,
Thanks for the screen shots; really helpful.
Yes, I’ve now added the Custom CSS as I think it should be applied but still no luck.
I’ll add my login details below and the URL of the post in question.
Cheers,
Peter.Hi Victoria!
Sorry for the delay in replying; traveling back from honeymoon in Crete!
I’m afraid that I still need your help.
I’ve added the 3b3b3b color to the Strong element in Advanced Styling, which has worked great and I’ve now checked the Show Element Box For Developers in Layout Builder.
I’ve added the CSS code .my-bold-text strong { color: blue; } to Quick CSS in General Styling.
However, I’m unsure as what I need to do where Yigit advised to ‘edit your element where you have your special bold element and give it a custom CSS class’ on September 9th.
Regards,
Peter.Hi
I now have Layout Builder!
I’ll see if I can make the changes…
Cheers,
PeterHi Yigit.
I’ve updated the theme. Still no ‘Layout Builder’ in Enfold Theme Options though (at least not at the time of writing).
I’ve now deleted the bold element colour which I changed to 3b3b3b in Advanced Styling to see if I was able to add blue to bold which still does not appear to be the case.
What’s weird is that it used to work just fine in previous posts but now is working sporadically in the same posts.
I’m getting a little frustrated – all I want to do is lighten the bold element and be able to add blue using the Text color – or at the very least add the blue color.
It has so far taken hours to try to resolve what I think should be a very straightforward operation.
I’d gladly pay for any developers at Kriesi to sort this if that’s a service you provide??
Kind regards,
Peter.
Hi Mike,
Thanks so much for the screen shot.
Little wonder I couldn’t find ‘Layout Builder’ as I don’t have this included in Enfold Theme Options!
Do you know why this would be? ( I don’t have a child theme if that’s any help)
Regards,
Peter.
Hi Rikard,
I’m still not sure where this is. I’ve spent about an hour trying to locate Show element options for developers to no success.
When you say go to Enfold Theme Options, do you mean the Enfold tab I have down the right hand side of Word Press? If so the closest match that I have to Layout Builder is General Layout but there is no option to check Show element options for developers.
Could you possibly attach a screen shot?
Regards,
Peter
Hi Yigit,
Thanks for all your info.I can’t find Layout Builder (or “show element options for developers”) in Enfold Theme Options. The closest match I have is General Layout. Can you break it down even more for me?
Thank you!
This has had the exact effect I was after
Kind regards,
Peter.Hi John,
Thanks for replying so quickly.
I managed to find a snippet of CSS code in a previous thread that has worked. Sorry I was unable to update you before replying.I do, however, have another issue that I noticed only yesterday – when I view my site on my Chromebook, the navbar menu eclipses my Logo. It looks really unprofessional! I’ve been meaning to reduce the size of my logo but ideally I want to add another page or two to my menu and believe this will lead to the same results.
Is there anyway to position my logo above the navbar at all or can you suggest another solution??
Kind regards,
Peter.Hey Rikard.
Thanks for your reply and understood. The reason for the plugin is optimizing my site for Pinterest and they have a great feature to upload pins of the perfect dimensions.
Cheers,
Peter.Hi Mike.
That’s great! Thank you so much.
Best Regards,
Peter.
Hi Sarah!
That’s good news :) My link is: http://xukkhini.com/blog/
You can just about make out the buttons on the bottom left.
Best regards,
PeterHi Rikard,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve just figured it out! I was referring to the side bar menu in WP. My Yoast drop down menu displayed only three options – Dashboard, Search Console, Go Premium. I’m following a tutorial which had many more in their drop down menu including a Social tab. I tried enabling the ‘Advanced Settings’ Page et voila!, the Social tab appeared along with all the others in the menu.
Cheers,
Peter.Hey! Thanks for replying. I assume you just mean the URL of my site? It’s http://www.xukkhini.com
If you need log in details to WP etc, I’ll add that below in the Private area just in case.
Peter.Hi Rikard,
Thanks for all your help so far.
I was wondering if you’ve managed to make any head way with the issue I’m having with my email subscription opt-in not displaying correctly?
Thanks to all the fantastic support from the team, I’ve managed to design my site exactly as I want it, save this one last issue.
I’ll also contact ConvertKit to ask their advice.
Quick Summary of the problem: the input fields should be displayed side by side but are on top of each other. The head line title is also looking a bit anorexic and could do with plumping up a little.
I’ll add another link to one of my posts….

Kind regards,
Peter.Hi Rikard,
Here’s a link to the post in question. As you can see, the form heading, whilst now larger, still looks a little on the skinny side when compared to how the from ought to look. But most importantly, is how the Email address field and Get My Tips button are vertically arranged rather than horizontally.

Understand. Yes, would still like to remove. Inserted a post link into the private content below.
Just want to say how outstanding (and quick!) your customer service is. Second to none.
Regards,
Peter.I’ve fixed the tiny title (which meant changing the size of my H3 tags). Unfortunately this now means that my blog post titles on Home page and Blog page are too big! Any suggestions on how to make only these fonts smaller?

Peter.July 21, 2017 at 8:44 am in reply to: How do I remove the 'Logged in as…Log out?' above my comments box? #825031Hi Rikard,
I kinda guessed that and should have made that clear. My tiny issue that I’m spending hours a day on the backend. I may be getting a bit ahead of myself as traffic is still very low but there’s no way to remove this? For such an amazing theme as Enfold this problem seems to let it down slightly. I’m not even sure why it should be displayed in the first place?
Cheers,
Peter.
Hi Mike,
Thanks again for such a comprehensive reply.
My knowledge is not quite sufficient to understand a lot of your advice but I’ll forward this to my VPS company who do a great job at helping me out with areas like this.
Regards,
Peter.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for such a quick and detailed reply.
I’m afraid that I can’t find the functions.php file in Appearance > Editor. I only have four choices under Appearance which are Theme, Customize, Widget, Menus.Cheers,
