My apologies now I have set my canonical URL to mydomain.com it has removed the /home. In the canonical URL previewer for some reason it was showing mydomain.com/https://mydomain.com but it appears to have dissapeared
I have this exact same issue, I have a domain with mydomain.com/home in the URL and it doesnt exist in the sitemap. I’m not sure if this is to do with a custom permalink structure.
I have
/insights/%postname%/set for custom urls for our news pages.setting the canonical in yoast will only give me /home in the URL
