June 20, 2016 at 10:47 pm in reply to: Need to Add rel="nofollow" to all my outbound Promo Boxes, Buttons, etc. #651129
Unfortunately, this isn’t doing what I need (unless I implemented it incorrectly). It simply adds another CSS class called “nofollow” or “rel-nofollow” within the DIV element that is around the HREF. You can see this here:
http://www.guitaranswerguy.com/guitar-resources/
I applied your suggestion to the very 1st button on the page (“Buy it on Amazon.com” button under “Humitar Acoustic Guitar Humidifier”). If you view the source code, you’ll see what I mean. It’s simply adding another CSS class to the DIV, not adding rel=”nofollow” to my anchor link:
Instead, what I need is something like this:
<a href="http://someurl.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Buy it on Amazon.com</a>
Note that the rel=”nofollow” is inside the A tag itself.
I have already. Still awaiting a reply :D’
I have this same need, and when I implemented Yigit’s solution, it added rel=”nofollow” to the outer <div>… not the HREF tag, as needed.
How can we add “nofollow” to the HREF tag itself?
This issue can be disregarded.
For some reason, all my Contact forms just mysteriously started working. I suspect that site caching was the issue, and it was just a matter of time for things to update.
You can close this as solved/resolved, or simply delete it.
Luckily, I didn’t have to do that. The developer was able to move some JavaScript around and got things displaying properly again. Thanks.
We can close this one out.
This is the longest I’ve gone without a reply or solution. Is everyone out on vacation for the holidays? If you are, that’s okay, I just need to know… thanks.
I’ve never modified the comments.php file, but in another support ticket that I submitted here:
… they had me add some code to my functions.php file (in my enfold-child folder) to modify the position of the form’s field labels. I wanted them top-aligned (above the form fields). As you can see from that ticket, we also made some CSS modifications.
However, I don’t remember the form fields being in the wrong order after we fixed the field labels–but it’s possible I just didn’t notice it back then.

Okay, credentials attached…
Okay. WP requires an email address in order for me to add a new user. What’s a good email address to list for you?
Sure. Excuse my ignorance, but how do to do that (and provide you with the login credentials without everyone on the forums seeing it)?
Right, because I’ve posted another blog post since sending my inquiry. As long as there are 3, 6, 9, etc. the problem will never be visible.
Since I don’t know of any other way to illustrate this (without unpublishing one of my live posts, which isn’t going to happen), the next time I publish a blog post, I’ll change my home page to show a max of 9 posts then alert you again in this thread. That way, you’ll be able to see the issue while I only have 7 or 8 posts live.
Yes, exactly. Thanks for the CSS. I was worried that something was wrong with the theme that was making them bigger, and whether I actually NEEDED to write customer CSS, or if there was something we could fix with my install.
Now that I know the code, I’ll experiment with some other sizes as well.
I think we can close this issue out. Thanks!
As I said previously, do NOT go to pages > about us. Just go to: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold
… and scroll quite a ways down toward the bottom. There is an “About us” SECTION on the page.
Here’s a screenshot of what you’re looking for:
Hope that helps,
Bobby
December 4, 2015 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Blog Comments Form – Want to change fields. Also,a CSS issues… #547279Okay, everything looks good now. Thanks!
No, don’t go to any sub-pages… go to the exact URL I linked you, and scroll quite a ways down to the About Us section. It’s closer to the bottom of the page.
Ah yes, here you go: http://www.guitaranswerguy.com/icon-box-test/
That’s generally what I’m wanting to do, however, I seem to only have 2 size choices… one is just a plain icon floating by itself (as in the screenshot above), or one with a HUGE circle around it. In the original Enfold demo I looked at, I saw smaller circles (a size that is about half of the one on my test page).
If you go to the “About Us” section of the public demo here, you’ll see a slightly smaller circle icon: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold
Is this something I’m just going to have to use custom CSS to achieve?
November 27, 2015 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Blog Comments Form – Want to change fields. Also,a CSS issues… #543768That did get them to the left, so we’re getting closer. Only remaining issue is the vertical alignment. You can see them here at the end of this post:

Andy:
I deleted that test page, because I didn’t want to leave it live any longer… to potentially be found by visitors.
I’ve already deleted and re-uploaded the Enfold theme via FTP. I did that on Nov 22nd using those exact instructions. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to change or fix anything.
I think you’re asking me to clear my browser cache? I just did that–and completely erased my cache, history, passwords, etc.
I also re-uploaded the original Enfold theme to my server’s WordPress “themes” folder (I’m using a child theme). I have the same exact problem. There was no change.
I created a test page where you can see the only icon box styles I’m able to achieve: http://www.guitaranswerguy.com/test-page/
I feel like I’m constantly having to write custom CSS just to get things to look right in this theme, and I don’t understand why. Also note on that page that the progress bar labels are not aligned properly. Just another example of mysterious styling issues.
November 21, 2015 at 5:05 am in reply to: Blog Comments Form – Want to change fields. Also,a CSS issues… #540080Sure, that form is at: http://www.guitaranswerguy.com/dont-forget-to-wipe-your-strings (or any other blog post)
Your CSS did indeed move the field labels above the fields, but it affected #3 adversely. Now, the text is on the left and the checkboxes are on the right. So, a slightly different problem.
We’re getting closer though.
Thanks,
Bobby
November 19, 2015 at 4:58 am in reply to: Blog Comments Form – Want to change fields. Also,a CSS issues… #538703Sorry, no, that was a bit too technical for me. If there’s some CSS you can spoon-feed me that’ll 1) align those field labels properly and 2) align the two checkbox values at the bottom properly, I’d be really grateful.
Thanks!
Yep, that did it. I put it in my child theme’s functions.php file..
Glad I migrated everything to a child theme before I got too much further modifying the ACTUAL Enfold theme. I only made that switch last night, and wish I’d done it earlier–before doing ANY work on my site, but oh well.
Thanks again… you close this one out :D
Elliott:
Seems easy enough, but another question: where would I put that code?
Thanks!
November 17, 2015 at 4:33 am in reply to: "Saving Didn't Work" Message… on EVERYTHING I TRY TO DO #537068It’s working again on my side (I can now edit/save/update/etc), but the BlueHost support rep I was on the phone with said he still sees the error (the one I pasted above) every time I make an update using the Enfold UI.
As long as I’m able to do what I need to do, I don’t care, but he said it may eventually get to a point where I’ll have to call them again, and repeat whatever process we went through the 1st time.
Sorry for the vague language, I actually have no idea what they did on their side, nor was he able to explain it to me. He just said something about it not being a permanent fix.

Well, in the Enfold demo I imported into WordPress with Import > Default Demo, the dropdown menu under “Blog” contains a number of blog format examples. All of them, except Masonry, appear in my Blog Layout options (screenshot above). So, my assumption was “Masonry” would be there as well.
I do see the “Masonry” component (and even used it on my home page), but I thought perhaps there was a special Blog layout type that had to be specified (again, under “Blog Laout” options, where all the others appear) in order to activate it.

That did it, thanks!
Close another one out.
Sure… it’s http://www.guitaranswerguy.com
BTW, the email issue seems to have had something to do with the fact that I was using the same email I have on my themeforest/wordpress/etc. accounts. I tested it with some of my other obscure email addresses and those came through successfully.
So, just have to solve the white-box issue now. Thanks.

November 13, 2015 at 6:15 pm in reply to: Enfold Will Not Install Successfully – Get Weird Message #535622I’ll definitely dive into the documentation this weekend. I love this theme and all it can do, so I’m looking forward to customizing it with my branding and content.
November 13, 2015 at 6:07 pm in reply to: Enfold Will Not Install Successfully – Get Weird Message #535602The FTP video helped, but I ultimately tried a different (but similar) technique. BlueHost (my host) support recommended I use their File Manager to directly upload the theme to my wp-content > Themes folder. While this did work, I then had other issues: the theme was KINDA working, but a lot seemed broken. Probably a result of conflicts with my previous theme, configurations, etc.
So, I wiped everything clean: completely deleted my blog, old theme, all posts, etc. so I would have a squeaky clean install. That finally got Enfold working. Unfortunately, wiping everything out in this manner has set my site launch back at least 2 weeks, but I’m glad to just have the theme working. I think it’ll be awesome once I get it customized and launched.
