thanks, this worked.
we still have problems switching from php 7.4 to 8.3 and suspect the enfold theme:#15 {main}
thrown in /home/sven-hoernich/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-widget.php on line 163
[30-Jul-2024 09:15:17 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function WP_Widget::__construct(), 0 passed in /home/sven-hoernich/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-widget-factory.php on line 62 and at least 2 expected in /home/sven-hoernich/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-widget.php:163this happens in the logs when switching to PHP 8.x – this is strangely a WP core function, so we are not quite sure what to do..
Oh snap… Surely I see it! My fault, everything is fine :)
ok, how do “you have that”? Is this a feature in enfold?
ok, there are quite a lot of plugins that protect the usual contact forms (contact form 7 etc.) but do you see a way to integrate them into the enfold contact form? I don’t really want to use 3rd party forms..
No, but I think this won’t deter spammers as it is just a checkbox. It needs to be a bit more complicated I fear.. but this I can find myself, I just thought there is something built in. no problem..
thanks, but it’s not about comment spam but about mail sent from the contact form. and it needs to be a local solution.. a simple “answer the question” check would be enough, maybe this can even be implemented within the enfold theme contact form?
thanks that’s fine!

to
https://content.screencast.com/users/perler/folders/Snagit/media/%20%3Ca%20href=
but yes, it is working now.

January 4, 2018 at 11:00 am in reply to: How are the footer widgets filled? (polylang plugin related) #893187Thanks, but are we talking about “widgets” or “widget areas”? When I create a widget area like this:
and set it to appear only for one language, instead of the widget I get this generic widget instead:
January 2, 2018 at 12:20 pm in reply to: How are the footer widgets filled? (polylang plugin related) #892455Ok, but I am not sure how I can create two widgets for each columns. I for instance can try to create a second widget named “Footer – column1”, but it get’s automatically renamed “Footer – column6” and I am at the same point as before (see original question).
In short: How to create two widgets for the same column?

December 22, 2017 at 9:51 am in reply to: How are the footer widgets filled? (polylang plugin related) #891518thanks, I got the part where I control on which page a widget should appear (but I tried it with the widget logic plugin anyways in case I missed the reason you suggested it).
my problem is, that although I created footer widgets 6 to 10 I cannot get them to appear (with or without widget logic).
to make it even clearer: when I disable widget footer columns 1 to 5, no matter what condition I put into widget logic widget footer columns 6 to 10 don’t appear – only the built in wordpress widgets appear (as if no widgets have been created) – as if some enfold built in mechanism prevents the display of more widgets than the amount defined for a widget area
brillant, thanks!
yes, this helped but brought up another issue: I did make some changes to the screen dimensions at which the mobile menu should appear because we have quite a wide main menu.
I did this according to some post from this forum:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1180px) { #mobile-advanced, #advanced_menu_toggle, #advanced_menu_hide { display: block; } nav.main_menu { display: none; }}
problem is, that the changes to the mobile menu in 4.2. somehow breaks this code. instead of appearing earlier it now isn’t visible at all below 1180px screen wide..

This reply has been marked as private.nope, I want to add a language selector: https://presscustomizr.com/snippet/add-polylang-dropdown-navbar-widget/ :)
ok, thanks, I understand now. Is there an url which regenerates the CSS so that we can call this after our rollout to staging? right now, we need to manually change “something” which is not very practical.
