I temporarily deactivated every plugin and slowly reactivated them. No problem with layerslider anymore. Not sure what happened. All cache was cleared along with all unnecessary files but I did that days before. Anyway layerslider is working now. Go figure! :) not sure what I did to make it work… or if you were able to do something. But thank you. All is well.
