ok, let me take a look and see how it goes. thanks.
Further to my previous message…. you said, “These are the styles you have for that element. And these are the style for the demo, you see , the selectors are different.” Your screenshot shows that code to be from ‘blog.css’ which is not a file I’ve created or edited. There seem to be a lot of clues that something is not right: For example why are the selectors different if, like you, I’m using the default Post Slider and the latest version of Enfold… you’d think the selectors would be the same no?
You should be able to see this but for the sake of clarity the following is the only css I’ve added to Enfold child style.css…
#top h1.main-title {font-size: 20px;font-weight: bold;}
.document-gallery .document-icon a { font-size: 1em;line-height: 1.2em;}
.home .widget_recent_entries li {font-size: 1em;}
.home .widget_recent_entries li .post-date {font-size: .9em;font-style: oblique;}
.home .entry-content-wrapper li {margin-left:0;}
.home .content {padding-top: 35px;}
.av-special-heading {margin-top: 10px;}That should not affect the order of HTML elements in an instance of the ALB Post Slider.
Hi, it’s been a couple of weeks… just wondering if your devs have had a chance to look into this? The underlying HTML is different between your demo and my Enfold in it’s default state which doesn’t make sense. I’ve looked into it and can’t see why… paid for support here in hopes kriesi.at would dig in to help answer the question. Would appreciate some information on your progress. Cheers.
Sorry I should have been even more clear … I am not looking for you to write CSS for me, I can do that. I’m looking for the cause of the problem. The HTML is different between your demo and my default theme, adjusting CSS doesn’t explain what’s going on there. You said, “The reason is in the different settings and styles of your website and the demo.”… have you discovered that is not the case? Or do you have other information that could help? Please no more CSS!!!!!!
10 years? I don’t understand if you are making a joke instead of a normal response.
Ok thanks for letting me know. Can you provide a rough idea of when you’ll be able to address this so I can adjust plans on my end? 1 week… 1 month… 1 year? Some sort of expectation would be good.
Thanks.
Here’s the url…
New test page link below…
The compression features are not enabled. Link below…
I posted the link to your demo’s Post Slider page up there… iframe doesn’t let you see the Post Slider for comparison.
Thanks for a solution, however I’m looking for the cause. I know how to fix it with CSS but that doesn’t address the root problem which opens me to risk for more issues in the future. Or maybe it doesn’t. How would I know unless the cause of the problem is found? I hope that makes sense. Again, this theme is 99% Enfold latest version… almost zero customization.
Look at your demo ‘Post Slider’…
Compare that to the default post slider from my link… they look quite different. Rather than putting bandaids at the end of the line in the form of !important css I’d like to know why there is a difference between your demo and my page when I’m using the default ALB Post Slider with the latest theme version. I just want it to look like your demo… since it doesn’t I’d like to know why.
Even when you compare the structure of the HTML on your demo to the Post Slilder on my page they are different… for example the HTML div .entry-content is above .slide-meta in the source of my ALB Post Slider but below it in yours. I just renewed my support for $60 specifically because of this issue so I’m looking for a bit more help to find out ‘why’ this is occuring… the ideal solution will present itself once that is known.
Is there a bug in the theme?
Is your demo not the latest theme version like I’m comparing to on my site?
Is it the way I’ve got Enfold configured?I’ve posted a login for you to help take a look.
Cheers,
Hi, I tried that to no avail. Any other ideas?
