Update – I have found a code snippet for the child functions.php that seems to work now by redirecting to the parent page? Maybe this is the solution. I am trying it now so those urls above do not work anymore so it seems as my problem may now be solved!
“Solution” from:
and code snippet from: “Redirect Via Custom Function” on that page
Hi Rikard,
I have recreated that background to the exact width of the box and now it fills the space without any scaling and looks close enough that noone will notice!
Thanks, I think its okay to leave this as “worked around” if not solved now – way too much time spent already :)Hi Rikard. I am unable to sort this out and I do not have the original art used to create this image so I have to make another arrangement. I can’t understand what went wrong but the settings for that color section either don’t work anymore or something unknown and that I cannot see from the page source is overriding them. Thanks
Hi Rikard – sorry about that. I see that it only wants email address as login, not user name. Please try with my email.
Regards,
PatrickHi Rikard,
I tried that! Now its become even less predictable in behaviour. No matter what I select in positioning etc I cannot even get it back to the way it was (gap on right) – see screenshot. If I select anything other than Center, Center now it will not display the background image at all? Even if I choose Bottom, Right the background image does not appear at all now.I am most confused now, not only how this all happened in the first place without changes to the site, but as to how to correct this? There are other situations on the site where this exact same method (background image, color section, text overlay) is working perfectly with the previous settings (‘image top left, no repeat’ – example on home page – panel with text left and image has view through circular pipe).
The only way I can alter this and fill that missing space is to create a new image which is 1130px wide not 1030 like the original. This seems to imply to me that the scale / fit settings are not working? Unfortunately I do not have the master photoshop image to adjust the elements for composition and the cropping is not ideal due to the scaling)
I think if there is no other solution I must modify the image in photoshop to get around this problem as I have already wasted too much of my time and your time on it.

Oh sorry Rikard, my bad – the WP login page is shifted by ithemes security plug (bin private content).

Font color issues are sorted thanks to your css :) Thanks!
Regards,
PatrickHi Rikard,
OK, thanks the spacing seems to be sorted. I have given every one I needed to remove the top/bottom spacing the same id# and that took care of it with your css.
The border is also gone now (it was just border-top not bottom) and I went with adding whitespace separator to sort out the easy slider alignment.I still have three more issues to resolve that are eluding me! Please see link to illustration / explanation – its quicker to explain it graphically for me :)
Thanks,
Regards,
PatrickHey Rikard.
Thanks – that seems to have fixed all the header/top image panels but not the ones below it (especially noticeable on the /plant-hire-eastern-cape/ page – ie the panels with all the construction vehicles). How can I do the same for those panels? Using the web tools inspector you can see the extra padding on top/bottom.
Regards,
Patrick*edit:
if I remove the #fwcs from the css then it applies to all of the panels so that sorts the problem! Not sure if this is the best solution because it has now removed even desirable spacing/padding!?
Think I have solved that top/bottom spacing by giving each panel the same #id (#phv) then your css code seems to work for all of them. But now I seem to have given myself more problems:1. The panels have a one pixel grey top border – how do I remove that (again on that same page this is very clear)? The setting for top and bottom border in that section is “no border styling”.
2. The alignment of each column I do not understand – the EasySlider aligns to the top of the panel/column whereas the Special Heading & the Tab Table aligns in the centre vertically. How Can I force the EasySlider to align vertically next to the other column with Heading/Tabs?- This reply was modified 5 years, 1 month ago by patricknh. Reason: New information

November 6, 2019 at 6:36 am in reply to: Header showing double/second logo on top of another one?? #1154175Hi Rikard,
I cut out the CSS from the Child theme and pasted it into the ‘Quick CSS’ box in “General Styling” and added !important to that line and now its working?!
Not sure what the issue is but anyway, that solved that problem!
ThanksHi, I followed a link (private content) from a google email (Search Console Team) which said there were mobile errors on the site that needed to be addressed. Not sure if this link will work for you (I assume it logged me in?). But then there was a page that was headlined “Mobile Usability” and it had some pages listed and the result when digging down into that was this huge list which is partly reproduced above. I am not finding any problems with the site via browser or via wordpress back end so I have no idea what they are going on about?

Thanks you can close it.
Re: Question 1: I tried to deleting “cookies and site data” within Firefox. This didnt solve anything, even after quit/restart and a reboot of the Mac.
However if I trash all Firefox support and preferences folders (Library/Application Support/Firefox and /Mozilla then it works correctly for those two header/footer issues!Unfortunately this also deletes a bunch of other stuff from login settings and passwords to add-ons and their respective db settings that I really need so I have restored from a backup and the issue then returns. Is there anything (file/data) specific that I can delete rather than my entire browser support folders?
In the meantime I will see if I can do that and still recover all the info via Firefox’s sync feature and hopefully get back the essential data.
HI Victoria,
Thanks. That sorted Safari out! /solved- This reply was modified 5 years, 11 months ago by patricknh.
Hi Rikard, I would like to go back to the way it was as this loses the dynamic content if facebook profiles are changed. so it would be nice to find a permanent fix. I am aware that facebook is soon going to be requiring an SSL site but not sure whether this would be affected by that.
I do not have a PC nearby to test this on but on Mac as I said it works fine in Safari and Chrome, but is blank in firefox.
UPDATE: Even the fixed image link doesn’t display in Firefox my end? Maybe its better we look into this now so I would appreciate your help
OK it seems that this issue is some problem with Firefox (mac 61.0.2). Seems to be working just fine in Safari and Chrome? I am going to replace the widget with a fixed image.

Thanks, I can see it now.
Hi Rikard, sorry about that – I forgot it needed email address not user name! I have created it again as below (and checked it). Thanks. Patrick

Thanks Nikko, I will ask for a refund. This is definitely a theme that may be good for many who are happy with the ready made templates but for me it has been a nightmare. Never have I had to ask so many support questions about something so simple! The site is now almost complete in less than a quarter of the time already spent. I made a wrong decision on this, but equally I believe that being able to try something out is better for all concerned and will not lead to anger and resentment like this!
Just a note: There are a lot of problems in the theme with fonts – especially in layerslider where they are displayed wrong weights, and even wrong font displayed under correct name! By switching to standard wordpress template and editing slider these problems disappeared until switched back to enfold.
Yes, as you noticed I had to give up on enfold. It just doesn’t allow customization unfortunately. Some nioce features but the compete wrong choice for me. So many support questions for the most basic things and so long to get answers. impossible to work like that. Recreated over a week’s worth of work in Divi in a few hours. Big mistake getting this theme for me, Im a designer, I dont want to overide every single thing in css just to change font styles etc. Maybe you should warn buyers BEFORE THEY BUY that this is not recommended if you want to change anything.
Also while your answers in this forum seem to work, they are so specific to each person it is impossible to learn from them and one is forced to ask about one’s own individual situation.
Wish I could get my money back since I will never use this them again but apparently not possible. That sucks too.
How else can you know if its suitable or not?
Anyway, cheers and hope you do well with the right kind of users who don’t want to customiseHi Victoria,
I am afraid I gave up on this theme as a waste of money. I cannot work asking support questions and spend 4 days or more trying to get something simple right with the time delays in getting responses. This theme is obviously built for programmers who are happy to spend ages on css overrides to customise the most simple things (like changing a font or padding) — not designers who need to customize design elements entirely etc. All the fonts are completely messed up, especially in layerslider. And its all in enfold – switch to another theme, all fonts and widgets are correct!! Took me less than four hours to recreate a week’s worth of work in Divi theme and not one support question needed. So enfold, nice ready built themes, horrible to impossible (unless programmer) if you want to customise!
While your support gives correct answers (eventually) it is all so specific that one cannot learn from answers given to others so one must wait for answer, days and days and days. Note that your support response (other than co-user) came only after 4 days here!! How is a person supposed to work with tis themes if response for help takes so long?
I wish I could get a refund. I am a most unhappy and angry customer.
Enfold support staff – Is this not possible?
Thanks, yes that is close but I dont like the way that responds to changing the viewport window. On a very large screen (5K) the image all but disappears!
I just don’t understand why they provide code that seems to promise to do this but actually doesn’t like that page linked in my first post. Also its not like this is a strange and unusual concept, it seems to be pretty common in other areas like the sliders. I am really struggling with customising this theme. The built in layouts are great but the moment you want to customise you get stuck in all sorts of problems. I am beginning to fear that I have chosen the wrong theme here as this is something I have often done in the theme I usually use. It just didn’t have the convenience of the built in portfolio stuff that I wanted to use.
I am also having huge problems with adding google fonts not working (their code), especially in the layerslider where the preview and output can be radically different.
Thanks for taking the time to try and help me

Thanks. I tried that but it doesn’t work. The grid background image still doesn’t fill the width and also it has to be set to a fixed or minimum pixel height to display the image. That doesn’t work for responsive resizing as the height then remains fixed and the apparent space gets bigger and bigger as the width of the viewport gets less. Only the color section does this properly, but also has that same problem if the image is the background and not an image element. Just that I cant seem to size it to scale to edge horizontally – otherwise everything else works as desired.
http://coastalgroup.co.za/ sorry i spelt it wrong then changed it
okay – coastalgroup.co.za
No, it is in an image container. The problem with setting it as the background was that the following headings and content underneath then appear on top of the image, not in the black space below it? Can you see the page?
Hi, thanks. But that doesn’t seem to make any difference. the image remains restricted to its original width. I am trying to have it on top of a frame with more text etc as though the stuff underneath was on top of the image (but in the extended black area below).
