I agree with this entirely. It is not clear to mobile users that additional menu items exist, and it is not intuitive. In fact, I have received numerous complaints from people using my company’s website on mobile.

Odisseas’s suggestion to “stack” the menu items on mobile would be a good solution, or AT LEAST provide some kind of indication to suggest that there are additional menu items would be very helpful. Would really like Enfold/Kriesi to address this as I have seen numerous complaints on the Enfold support forums about it, but no solutions aside from “This is working as intended.” Which, I don’t think is a good solution to a very real issue!

Thanks Enfold support for considering this fix.

    Hi Basilis,

Thanks for your reply. What about this thread? https://kriesi.at/support/topic/tab-section-remove-swipe-on-mobile/

It seems like it is possible. I just searched through that file and the line of code mentioned in that post no longer appears in shortcodes.js. Do you know where it is located now?

    Thanks again,
    Julian

Ok sounds good. I will try to implement that soon. Another question regarding this topic…is it possible to turn off the swipe navigation for the tab layout in mobile? If you visit the mobile version of the page I linked previously, then select “DIMENSIONS”, you will see I have the table set to scroll on mobile because it is too big to display comfortably on smaller screens. But when swipe to control tab navigation is used on mobile, I can no longer scroll through the table without swiping into the next tab. Hopefully this makes sense.

    Thanks for the help!

Fantastic, thanks for your help Victoria.

Putting the code snippet into Quick CSS did not work, however inserting it into custom.css seemed to do the trick. Now, I am not using a child theme…will this file remain untouched when I update Enfold, or will I have to utilize a child theme to ensure these changes are not overwritten?

    Thanks for your help,
    Julian

Please close this thread! We have settled on other options. Thanks again for your help.

in reply to: Horizontal scrolling table on HTML overflow #995029

Thanks very much Ismael, and sorry for the simple request. I was also able to get decent results as well by creating a div around the table.

    <div style="overflow-x:auto;”>
    </div>

As always, thanks for your time. Please close the thread!

Thanks for the help Kriesi team. I cannot hire someone for this but will look to a different layer slider and see if that fixes the issue.

    Thanks again!

in reply to: Additional issues with Gravity Forms #974792

    Hey Ismael,

I do use Layer Slider on my homepage. Is it possible to disable the layer slider script on just the pages where this is an issue? (I do not use Layer Slider on those pages).

    Thanks,
    Julian

in reply to: Additional issues with Gravity Forms #974336

    Hey Rikard,

Thanks for your help and reply. You can find the areas I’m talking about in an individual form’s settings (Gravity Forms > Forms > [Insert Form Name Here] > Settings > Confirmations [OR] > Notifications). This is where you set what people see upon completing a form (Confirmations), or what emails are sent upon completion (Notifications).

The issues I’m experiencing occur when you select the TEXT Confirmation Type or Notification Type. You will see that both the Visual and Text input options become limited in function or completely unusable (can’t type, missing formatting options, etc). Switching between the two causes further issues where the Visual and Text blocks completely disappear.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

    Thanks again Rikard,
    – Julian

Wow…thanks so much Ismael!! This seems to have fixed the problem! Did you still need the FTP details?

Again, thanks so so much for helping. I’m excited to use GravityForms with Enfold once again.

in reply to: GravityForms not working #967928

    Hey Ismael,

Sorry for referencing that thread. I thought it might be relevant as both my issue and theirs involved GF and Enfold, and both started occurring around November of last year. But I really appreciate your help and working with me on this issue.

I did try adding the above snippet to the top of functions.php, and wiping my cache, but the problem still persists.

Here are some additional screenshots of what I’m seeing in the WP backend, in addition to errors that I’m seeing when I inspect the page.

What Enfold looks like when I click “Add New” on the forms page of GravityForms
These are the errors I get when I try to create a new form with GravityForms / Enfold active.
What Enfold looks like when I try to load the Avia Layout Builder with GravityForms active. This does not change.
These are the errors I get when the Avia Layout Builder is *trying* to load while GravityForms is active.

None of these errors exist when I use a default theme :( I did reach out to GravityForms about this, and I have provided their response in the Private Content portion of this message.

Thanks so much for your assistance and for continuing to work with me on this issue. I hope we’re able to work out a solution soon.

    Kriesi team,

Thanks for the help on this issue, however the problem still persists and is now really becoming an issue as I cannot update Enfold on one of my sites due to GravityForms completely breaking.

Clearly, I am not the only one experiencing problems with GravityForms and the newer versions of Enfold. Below are links to recent posts that describe similar issues to what I am experiencing:

The first link I provided (from May 2018) seems to detail the exact problem I am still having. I tried copying their code into my functions.php and sadly, it did not fix my problem. Granted, I am not using a child theme, but that would not matter unless I were to update Enfold again, correct? (thus, deleting my newly inserted code).

It’d be awesome if the user that posted the above fix (wagwag) would chime in, but I doubt he/she will see this. I would reply to that thread, however, it is closed.

I have reached out to GravityForms for help, but considering everything works as intended with default themes (and with previous versions of Enfold – see convo above), it really seems like this is an Enfold issue. I, and I’m sure other GravityForms users, would sincerely appreciate a fix for this. GravityForms is an incredibly popular form building tool and it seems shortsighted that Enfold would not be compatible with it.

    Thanks again for your time,
    Julian

in reply to: Fullwidth Submenu Shortcode? #944605

    Hey Rikard,

Would it be possible to put in a feature request? I really like the fullwidth submenu offered with Enfold, especially the sticky submenu setting.

I’d really like if the Special Heading also had the ability to be stickied, so that it scrolls alongside the sticky submenu (either above or below). Does this make sense? Apologies if I’m not explaining it well.

For example, on my page: https://bardac.com/dc-drives/, I am using a Special Heading above a fullwidth submenu. For SEO and usability purposes, it would be fantastic if that special heading could scroll with the page, alongside the fullwidth submenu below it. (Right now it gets pushed off the page upon scroll).

If you already know of a way to make this happen…super!

    Thanks so much!

Hey Jordan and the Kriesi team,

So this issue is still present on my site, but I can maybe provide more details. To recap, I was receiving a weird, grayed-out screen when I tried to create a new form in Gravity Forms. There is a screenshot of it in the thread above. This makes Gravity Forms unusable.

I have tried disabling plugins with Enfold active and it does not fix the issue. I have tried reinstalling a fresh copy of the theme from ThemeForest, which didn’t work either. What DOES fix the issue is activating a default theme, such as Twenty Fifteen. Going back to Enfold breaks the plugin(s) again.

However, I am now realizing this issue is not just specific to Gravity Forms. Whenever ANY plugin tries to initiate a popup menu of some kind, the screen just turns gray as if something is blocking the popup.

For example, in Gravity Forms, the “New Form” dialog is a popup. Trying to initiate the New Form popup makes the screen turn gray (and no popup is visible). In the newest release of Wordfence, there are some popups that appear to walk the user through virus scan scheduling, etc. However on my driveweb.com site, these popups do not appear and the screen just turns gray.

On my other site, bardac.com (Enfold v4.0.2) I do not have any of these issues and all popups appear as expected. I’d like to update Enfold on that site, and have tried before, but the same issue arises so I can’t.

Any thoughts on what might be blocking these popups? I’d really like to try and get this issue resolved. Again, this still happens when I have deactivated plugins, including Wordfence, WP Super Cache, etc.

    Thanks again for your help,
    Julian

in reply to: Fullwidth Submenu Shortcode? #943293

Thanks Rikard, I appreciate your help.

You’re right, while this allowed me to get the shortcode for the fullwidth submenu, it didn’t look all that great.

Will keep exploring different options, thanks for your time.

in reply to: Sticky Special Header #932473

Vinay, I am not trying to be critical but have you even visited my site to see what I’m trying to do?

I feel like my initial question was pretty clear, and would have been clear had you visited my site via the link I provided. I made the mock-up per your request, but you still haven’t visited my site.

If you had visited my site, you would have seen I am already utilizing a sticky header and shrinking header. I am talking about the SPECIAL HEADING feature that is built into the Avia layout builder, not my main site header.

On the page in question you will see that the submenu on the page in question is also fixed/sticky. I am trying to make the special heading fixed as well, the one that has the H1 tag that reads DC DRIVES. This special heading (the DC DRIVES h1 tag) is located in between the main navbar and the submenu.

I really think if you clicked on the link I provided you would see what I’m trying to do.

    Thanks for your time,
    Julian

Thanks Basilis! That did the trick :) As always, you guys rock!

in reply to: Change slidebutton location #919710

Hey Rikard, thanks for your response! Below is a link to the slider in question. As you can see, the slide buttons seem too high and are blocking some content. Thanks for the help!

in reply to: GravityForms not working #883653

    Jordan,

So I uploaded v4.0.2 again and this time it seemed to work. I can access access the backend and do not see the layerslider error I was seeing before that was blocking my access to the backend.

BUT, now I am not able to edit anything using the Avia Layout Editor at all, even with GravityForms deactivated. I cannot add the Layout Editor to a new page and when I load one of my pre-existing pages, a circle just spins where the layout elements are normally displayed.

Something new since installing 4.0.2…on my wp-admin page (when logging in and out), I see the following error message beneath the login fields:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method aviaShortcodeTemplate::__destruct() in /home/driveweb/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/audio-player.php on line 53

Could this error be part of the reason my Layout Editor doesn’t seem to be responding?

    Thanks,
    Julian

in reply to: GravityForms not working #883095

    Jordan,

How would I install a previous version of Enfold? Not only does Gravity forms not load, but it conflicts with Enfold to the point where pages don’t load for editing. The Avia Layout Builder just spins. When I create a new page I can’t click into the body field for editing. Interestingly enough, I can still create/edit page titles.

I tried to install Enfold 4.0.2 from my other site by copying the theme files over. However when doing so, I got a LayerSlider error (should have taken a screen shot) and was unable to access anything in the backend.

    Thanks for your help,
    Julian

in reply to: GravityForms not working #882256

    Hey,

Any word on this? I’d like to update Enfold at some point but will wait until there is a fix on GravityForms compatibility issues. Thanks!

in reply to: GravityForms not working #874225

    Jordan,

I think that might be the case. For nowI will continue building forms in my 4.0.2 install and then import them over to my other site running Enfold v4.2. Please keep me posted if you are able to find a fix for this issue though!

    Thanks.

in reply to: GravityForms not working #873454

    Hey Jordan,

Thanks for that. I took a screen of the console on my other site and did not see the locking-list errors. As I said, my other site is running 4.0.2. What do you think might be causing this? Thanks again for your help.

in reply to: GravityForms not working #873431

    Hey Jordan,

Thanks for looking into this for me. Sorry if I don’t understand, but is this screenshot applicable to my site, driveweb.com?

The other site that I manage is bardac.com. As I said, it uses Enfold version 4.0.2 and does not have the issue I am experiencing with Enfold v4.2.

    Thanks again,
    Julian

in reply to: GravityForms not working #873213

    Jordan,

This does not happen with the default WordPress themes and Gravity Forms runs normally. I have another website running Enfold Version: 4.0.2 and this is not an issue either.

The site where this issue is happening (driveweb.com) is running the current version of Enfold (4.2)

    Thanks,
    Julian

in reply to: Update ruined layout of page #754020

Also want to express my frustration regarding this update. I wasted many hours today going through, disabling plugins trying to figure out what the hell was going on with my site. Turns out the update completely broke my layerslider, creating a weird display glitch that forced it to appear half way off the page.

Thanks to waterwalk, I found completely recreating the slider fixed the problem, but again, that’s wasted time.

Thanks for your assistance and please try to avoid this happening in the future – I’m sure many users would appreciate updates not breaking their sites.
