I’ve turned off all caching in W3 Total Cache and cleared all the caches, but I just noticed this note in the plugin interface –
The plugin is currently disabled. If an option is disabled it means that either your current installation is not compatible or software installation is required. The plugin is up to date. Will re-installing the theme via FTP be the only way to fix this?
It was pretty recently…. I had the W3 Total Cache plugin deactive, so I activated it and cleared the cache and it’s still not working. Is there a way to manually delete the prettyPhoto plugin? I don’t see it in my plugins folder.
Hi Yigit,
I just deactivated all the plugins one at a time (because it’s a live site) and with each deactivation, nothing changed.
Thanks!
Sorry, ignore the last post! It works now! Thank you!
That didn’t work either. The portfolio pieces URLs are fixed but the Blog items are not. They now just are showing up as http://www.website.com/blogpost. I changed the code you suggested and have the following Permalink settings –
Common Settings – Post Name
Optional
Category Base – blogPortfolio Entry Settings
Portfolio Items Base – portfolio-item
Portfolio Categories Base – portfolio_entriesWhat can I do to get the blog URL structure back?
Thanks!
Hi Elliott,
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, that fixed the portfolio items, but not the blog posts. I ended up putting the Common settings back to Custom Structure – /blog/%postname%/ so that any links directing to our blog wouldn’t be broken.
When I did what you suggested, our blog posts didn’t have anything before them i.e. – website.com/blogpost
Thanks!
JenniferAny suggestions on this?
Hi Devin,
We had installed the WPML plugin and then had some issues with that, but it looks like this is happening even with all the WPML plugins deactivated. We did a full site backup to a dev site, which then got pushed live, that could have been it? I’m not sure for certain if the form was working after that or not…
Thanks for your help!
JenniferHello –
I just went through all of my plugins and found that it was the WPML plugin that was causing the advanced editor to not appear.
I originally started updating everything on the site because we were having different issues with that plugin, so I assumed everything should be updated to make it work correctly. I need the WPML plugin and the enfold theme to work correctly together, which I was originally told would be fine.
What can I do now?
Thank you!
We’re also not sure how to get all the blog items to show up as http://www.orourkehospitality.com/hostedContent/orourke-rwd/blog/hotel-resort-ppc-case-study/
They’re currently showing us as
http://www.orourkehospitality.com/hostedContent/orourke-rwd/hotel-resort-ppc-case-study/When we change it in Permalinks to blog/%postname%/ it changes all the portfolio pieces to that as well.
Thanks in advance!
I’ve also realized that the Easy Slider is not responsive, it is changing the dimension of the image and essentially squishing in. Is there an easy fix for that?
Hi Yigit,
I’ve finally gone in and updated the theme, so most of my issues are now all set, thanks!
I’m now noticing that we don’t have the Responsive Menu choice of Dropdown vs Slide Out, did that get taken away or is there a way around it? I also can’t figure out how to get the sub-menu to stay visible below 767px. Is that an option in the Theme settings?
Thanks!
Unfortunately we’ve been making changes to more than just the custom.css. Anything else I might be able to try?
Thanks!
I just changed it so .fixed_header #header has a top position of 0, it shows fine in general now, but when logged in, the admin menu bar at the top covers the top menu bar on our site. I updated our WordPress to version 3.8.1 yesterday but haven’t updated the enfold theme because we’ve made styling changes to it. Could that have something to do with it?
I’m using Mac OSX Version 10.8.5 and I’ve viewed the site in both Chrome and Firefox and I’m still getting the header popping down from the top. Here’s what it looks like –
The black bar should be attached to the top and the image should scroll behind it, but shouldn’t be seen between the top of the browser and the black header bar.
Thanks!
