Two versions setup
http://www.tdselectrical.com/content-slider-3-cols/
http://www.tdselectrical.com/content-slider-5-cols/
Same content slider used.
It looks like it is trying to work but it appears to be align left and right to a single column width rather than across the page.
That’s amazing. Thank you.
This is a long shot but I don’t suppose if I did want to have a link that I can control where the link goes. I do not want it to go to the portfolio item but to a custom link. I only appear to be able to do this if I use portfolio grid rather than post slider.
That’s done it. I am going to buy another license just because I feel like I should now.
Awesome support. Thank you so much.I wish it would but still seeing too much space under the icon boxes.
Still no effect on the space underneath the icon boxes
That acts of the page but taking the spacing out of the top between the slider and the icon blocks. It’s the bottom spacing I need to reduce.
I tried changing the code to padding-bottom but then it has no effect.
Correction. I just tried in the the theme options CSS and it reduces the spacing a little but there is still too much blank space. Also it has affected the bottom of the page as well, meaning that the 3 icon boxes at the base of the page now bleed into the socket.
I just tried in the the theme options CSS and it works. Many thanks.
That has not made any difference I am afraid?
I have tried both in Firefox and safari.
I tired that but it has no affect at all. The copyright stays left.
That’s great but will all the entries update if I make a change to the first one?
Ah, spoke too son.
It seems this has had a knock on effect in that it has taken the colour out of all the elements on the page as well. Is there a way I can stop it putting the red on the strong element just within the slider text?
That’s done the trick. Thank you.
That is not working. The issue is affecting some text that I have placed in a slider
http://176.32.230.2/tdselectrical.com/solutions/
The text in the slider element that reads TDS Electrical is simple wrapped with but comes out red – I want it to remain white.
Awesome, thank you.
Looks like I have managed to do this without needing the custom background feature. I discovered the ‘color section’ component in the Avia layout builder. Awesome!
I did try that by adding this code to the functions.php file
<?php
/*
* Custom Background Support */
add_theme_support( ‘custom-background’ );But it’s not working and it’s like the theme’s styling is overriding this – could this be the case?
Yep. That works. Really appreciated. It screws up on a mobile phone view – I don’t suppose there’s a way of just hiding the image below a certain resolution is there?
I left all of the code that was in the original functions.php file in the child version so perhaps that’s where I went wrong. I will try with just the code you suggested. Many thanks.
That’s awesone, thank you. It screws up on mobile view but I might be able to live with that.
One issue though is that I have had to put this into the root directly funtion file. I do have a child theme setup but when I edit the file as instructed to indicate I want to use the child theme functions file the site no longer loads
This is where I got the information
* example: global $avia_config; $avia_config[‘use_child_theme_functions_only’] = true;
Is this the correct edit to the line correct …
if(isset($avia_config[‘use_child_theme_functions_only’]= true; )) return;
Awesome, thank you.
