Hi Rikard,
I’m not sure what to look for with regards to a local issue. Plugins are updated and site has been scanned. I know it started once I activated SSL. I also know it’s difficult to troubleshoot if it can’t be easily reproduced. I’ve searched on-line and see many people with this issue. I’ve tried or eliminated most of the suggestions I’ve seen so far. I was hoping you guys had some fixes for this as it seems to happen to others.
Hi Victoria,
I’m not sure why you respond that way. My original ticket said I needed to have everything showing from a desktop to all sizes of screens (meaning cell phones).
So please revisit the solution to include all devices and screen sizes from a desktop to a mobile phone. The text Mike Sledge and the profile pic need to show and be responsive on all devices and screen sizes.
Thanks,
Nathan
Hi Victoria,
This is much better however the author pic does not appear on mobile devices. The text is resizing correctly.
I’m not sure why the logo image is dissappearing. I took a look at options and didn’t see anything suppressing it.
I’ll work on the px after everything else is working.
Thanks!
Nathan

HI Victoria
Did my private message with the test site info get posted to you? Not sure if it did…
Thanks,
Nathan
HI Victoria,
I am still struggling with this. I did what you said. Extracted the text as an image and made it the logo. I added a header widget with the image of the author along with the functions.php code and the custom css.
I can’t seem to get the header widget all the way to the right. Also even with it where it is (slightly off center), if I shrink the screen, the widget does not shrink. The logo does. You can see what it looks like here http://mikesledge.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/widgettest.jpg
Also we do have the option to upload a background image to the logo area. That is what I’m doing. Should that not be responsive? I think it should which would solve my problems.
So unless I’m doing something wrong. this solution doesn’t seem to work. I’m having to revert the site back to how it was originally as it’s in production.
All I want is to have an image that is 100% of the container width to be responsive to all screen sizes. This seems like such a basic thing.
Appreciate any help.
Nathan

Ok I tried the widget. I put the link for the image that has both the text and the author pic in the textbox of the widget.
The image was responsive when I shrunk the screen which was good. However there were some spacing issues.
This is what is should look like http://mikesledge.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/correct.jpg. Notice the menu is right below the header image and the Soldier Dead image is immediately below the menu.
Using the widget in the header it looks like this. http://mikesledge.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/bad.jpg. There is a big gap between the header image and the menu bar and the Soldier Dead image starts right below the header image and the top part is obscured with the menu bar in the middle.
I tried several things to try to get the placement correct but was not successful. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Nathan
Hi Ismael,
I’m using Max Mega Menu plugin. I will try your suggestion about using a widget however I’m not sure if I will be able to duplicate the font like the author wants.
Thanks,
Nathan
HI Victoria,
None of these really do what I want. The 2nd thread adds code to functions.php which I did and it caused an error.
Thanks,
Nathan
Yes please close.
Not at this time :)
Nevermind :) I had the css code in the text block, not the image.
Thanks!
Hi – I have a new similar related issue. The css that Vinay provided has worked perfectly on other sites I’ve created. I’m working on a new site (just installed) and while the css code
body .aligncenter, .entry-content-wrapper a:hover .aligncenter {
padding: 0px!important;}Does remove the top and bottom white margins, I now have left and right margins around the picture. Can you please advise?
I created a test page demonstrating this behavior. Please read the notes on the test page.
October 19, 2016 at 11:26 pm in reply to: padding on top and bottom of image using box-shadow #701565Thank you! The second option worked perfect!
I have tried many different things in quick css from reading forums but noting works. I’ve even tired making the header background light blue and the divs in the header widget white but that won’t work right either.
Also be sure to look at the custom css I have for header as it might clash with your fixes.

Hi Rikard,
See screenshot here http://nathanandriley.com/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/headerexample.jpg. The left and right areas circled in red need to be light blue also.
I’m having the same issue with the footer on the page http://nathanandriley.com/public_html/index.php/cincycostsavers/ but not this page http://nathanandriley.com/public_html/index.php/cincycostsavers/ccs-frequently-called-numbers/ but I can’t figure out what the difference is.
It seems the header width is not honoring the Theme > Dimension setting.
Thanks!

Hi Basillaa,

?
Thanks!

Hi Ismael,
Unfortunately that did not have the desired result. The color section background is now black. I wanted the theme background to show through.
Thanks,
Nathan
Hi Vinay,
Thanks but that did not seem to do anything.
Nathan
You’ll see 3 text boxes at the bottom.
You can close this ticket. I used different elements to achieve what I needed.
Thanks!
Hi Vinay,
That had no effect at all. However I know what’s happening – just not how to stop it. I removed the css that allowed me to make the “Nicholas Sansbury Smith” a font size of 75. It is adding space above and below at a font size of 75 however there is nothing above or below – not even a space.
Thanks,
Nathan

Thanks Vinay – it’s working great now!
HI Yigit,
That had no effect. I think the issue is the padding around the social icons themselves.
Thanks,
Nathan
Thank you Vinay – that improved it alot however the icons for the social media have space above and below still (not as much as before though). How do you remove the padding from them?
Thank you!
Nathan
I figured this out. The uppercase gets converted to lowercase (I looked at the page source).
I also had to make sure the link to the section ID was correct. As an FYI it’s http://……mypage#extinctionendid.
I added the code in general styling and it did not change anything. If you look at the screenshot above, all places where the red lines are have the extra space that I want to be able to reduce or eliminate.
