Hi Yigit
As usual your suggestion works – thanks a lot :-)
A user has reported that the page turns out a bit “messy” on iPhone 7+. I will look into this and maybe return to this forum. But again, thanks for your great help.
Very best regards
Hey Yigit
Thanks for input which – as always – did work :-)
HOWEVER the idea with flags beneath the menu does not seem to work at all:
When the cursor is on the menu, the submenu opens, but then, when you move the cursor from the menu to the unfolded submenu – then the submenu offcourse disappears when the cursor crosses the flags. I should have thought about that. Sorry.Now I have instead tried to implement the flags OVER the menu, but when you start scrolling and the menu minimies – then the flags position themselves on top of the menu.
Have you got any idea of a solution to make one of theese ideas work?
PS: I don’t know why the child theme seems empty – maybe because I only use ftp via FileZilla?
Actual css used:
#header .widget {
right: 40px;
top: 0px;
position: absolute;
z-index: 999;
height: 13px;
line-height: 13px;
}#header .widget {
display:none;
}.home #header .widget {
display:block;
}Thanks in advance
Best regardsHi again Mike – and thanks a lot. That did the trick ;-)
Can’t figure out though why the name of an image should have anything to do with naming a post – but anyway: it worked :-)
Thanks again. Case closed.
Very best regardsHi Mike
Sorry, now it is admin. Thanks.
But as I mentioned the trash IS empty and as also mentioned I also cannot find a post with the name in the database.
best regards
@mensmaximus
Thanks again. I did try all options and also tried a comparison on other posts to make sure, I understood how it was working. Also tried with and without joker %… But thanks again. Going on weekend now :-)Hi again guys – just to let you know, that I now have tried to locate the post via phpmyAdmin. Only item I found was an image including that phrase. So no luck I am afraid – though I did learn a little about the possibilities in myAdmin :-)
@mensmaximus – Thanks a lot for your elaborated answer. I get your point, did not know that it could be an issue, so thanks for enlightening me :-)
I do not have much knowledge of MySQL, but I think I will look into phpMyAdmin to explore the possibilities as you kindly mentionned.
Thanks again.
Hi again guys. Nice to know someone is out there :-)
@Basilis: Thanks for answering. I allready emptied the trash, nothing there at all.
@mensmaximus: Thanks for answering. As the page does not exist, permanently deleted, I guess there a no revisions? Am I missing something?
@Rikard. Thanks – and please find info in private content.Hi Vinay
Thanks a lot – I have figured it out and will play around a litte with positioning the elements. You may close the thread.
All the best :-)
Hi Rikard
Thanks a lot. It seems to work fine :-)
Now I just need some css to place it accurately within the header. I have grabbed this from your documentation, which centers the image in header:
#header .widget {
left: 50%;
padding-top: 0;
position: absolute;
top: 0;
transform: translate(-50%);
z-index: 999;
}CSS is not my strong side, but maybe you can point out which css “parameters” I should play with to position the images/flags?
Alle the best – and thanks for your great support.
Hey Rikard
Thanks for getting back.
I AM able to put the flags in the header via a header widget – needs som css to place it accurately though, but I am sure you are able to help with that :-)
However the main issue is, that I only want the header widget on the front page – not on all other pages…?
I am not going to implement this right now, have’nt made the content yet, but I need to know, that it can actually be done and how to do it before telling my client, that it is possible.
Please ref. to link in private
Thanks :-)

Tacker så mycket. That did the trick :-)

December 18, 2016 at 11:27 pm in reply to: "Warning: Invalid argument…" – caused by disabling post nav? #725919Hey Basilis
Thanks for replying so quickly.
Yes, if I remove the code then the “warning” disappears again – but then the post nav offcourse is back, and I news theese “previous” and “next” arrows to disappear. Is there a way of doing this without the “warning” coming up?
Pls. se private content for example
Thanks in advance
Dear Andy
As I said, I started all over with a new temp url on a new server.
In the proces of re-building the site on this new server the exact same errors occured once again as soon as I put in the mentioned css.
I am sure you can reproduce it yourself by putting the css code in a footer widget text! Or, that is, what I hoped you would try to do – so that I can move on knowing that the cause has been established. Please confirm.
best regards
Hi Yigit and team
I had nearly given up!
I started all over: New temp url, new server.
In the proces I found out, that the exact same errors (which this thread has been about) occured once again!
But now I found out why!
Just to recap some of the errors/issues in this thread:
1: Avia slider hiding captions
2: Avia slider collapsing at last slide
3: Logo not placed left in mobileCause:
A small CSS to position FaceBook logo at right in the 4.th column of the footer:<style>
img {
float: right;
margin: 0 0 10px 10px;
}
</style>This small css seems to have caused all problems! Is this really likely?
I mean, I really want to continue the (substantial) work I allready have made on the present server
– BUT ONLY if you can tell me, that this small css really is likely to have caused the issues/errors described. If you tell me, that this actually is the cause, then I (finally!) can go on building my clients new site. They hardly can wait :-)best regards
Hi Andy – you are fast :-) Thanks for getting back so quickly! And thanks for suggested css-code.
However: Please give me your and your teams professional judgement: Should I continue building this website since something seems to be basicly wrong somewhere? We should not need these css-corrections for something which normally works out of the box, and I am beginning to worry, that still more issues (as positioning of logo on mobile mentioned earlier) will occur because something is “corrupted” (as you put it yourself) and I can’t seem to fix it even though I put in fresh Enfold etc etc.
I am using Enfold because I am not able to write code and it normally works great :-) Should I start from scratch to feel safe about not building on something that somewhere is “corrupted”? And how do I go about that, if deleting and re-installing Enfold, WP etc does not seem to work (the way I do it at least -via ftp)? Are these “corruption” in the database or…?
I really would appreciate your help and advice
best regards
Hi Andy
Thanks for getting back.
As you can see in previous posts Yigit provided a css “patch” which partly corrected the issue. However not completely – as I described in my last post. Please do read my last post!
As I mentioned several times I am actually normally a happy Enfold user with other Enfold installations working smoothly with the same host. Please ref. my earlier posts in this topic! But with this site something seems to be basicly wrong, since we need these css-corrections for something which normally works out of the box (there are other issues as well i.e. the logo not being positioned top-left on mobile, which it normally does out of the box).
You suggested yourself you would take a look at it via ftp – which I then provided you with log-in data for!
I don’t know how to move on with this. Please read my posts and let me know what you think we should do.
best regards
Hi Yigit and Andy. Thanks for taking time to help.
Yigit: Your css did make captions visible again and did stop slider from collapsing at last frame. Thanks for always solving problems :-)
However playing with the position and framing/non framing options unfortunately still leaves a problem. Example: On the frontpage I for the first slide have chosen “Bottom framed” – and it turns out at the complete top of the slide?
I know – as you say – it should not be like this out of the box since everything works fine on my other Enfold sites with the exact same setup by the same host. Thats why I just can’t figure it out…
Andy: I cannot either reproduce the problem on my other Enfold installations. As I mentioned a few times they are working just fine with the same setup at the same host. And again: I did (more than once to make sure) delete all Enfold files via FTP and installed via ftp a fresh copy of latest Enfold. I made hard refresh of the browser and so forth. But maybe I am overlooking something, I don’t know, so you are more than welcome to try to do whatever you can via ftp. I will supply you with ftp-login i private content.
Very best regards
Hey Andy and Enfold Team
PLEASE: I have uptill now only had very fine support during the years as happy Enfold customer, so please look into this instead just disregarding it.
Please look at the test page I have set up or the front page of the site I am building – see private content I delivered in my first post. What do you mean, you can’t reproduce it? Do you not see, that the captions of the slider is not working? And that the slider collapses on the last slide? I do not get it what you mean by “you can’t reproduce it”?
And again: I have more times (to make sure) deleted all content on the server, put in a fresh Enfold 3.8 etc etc. And no: My host is not caching anything. As I said I have other Enfold sites with the exact same setup at the same host – all working well…
PLEASE HELP HERE. What am I supposed to do?
Best regards
Hey Andy
I allready HAD tested with new and fresh Enfold 3.8 (installed by ftp), no custom css, cleared browser cache etc!
Now, just to be sure, I downloaded fresh Enfold 3.8 again, deleted all files on server by ftp again, cleared cache, hard refresh etc . And as I said: I have other sites with the exact same host and setup working smoothly.
After now having repeated these measures there is still no effect on the problems mentioned! Please help.
best regards
Hi Yigit
Thanks a lot for your input, which I am sure would work, if I know you right :-)
I can see, your answer came one minut after I put my last last reply: I (with my client) have chosen the “standard” header instead since other issues occured as as well with the solution, we first wanted – fx menu background did not highlight when sub-menu was selected, also an issue with the “burger-menu” on mobile and more. So we are back with the “standard” header which works all the way around.
Thanks again :-)
Best regards
Hi again Rikard / team
I think I will try another more basic solution, so you need not do anything more in this matter. Thanks for always fine service.
best regards
Hi Rikard
Thanks for your suggestion, which works in the way, that it does push the header down. However: If you for instanse push it down 20 px, then the gap above the header will show the content of the page when scrolling… (see example in private content)
Is it possible to maybe make a padding for whole the page – or make an empty top bar (the one for social icons, extra phone etc) and then adjust the height of that?
very best regards
Hey Rikard
Thanks again – and problem IS solved though, so let’s leave it at that. I was just wondering :-)
Best regards
Hey Rikard
Thanks a lot. Did the job :)
It just puzzles me, why this css code is needed – I have 3 other sites with exact same header setup, where this issue does not occur?
Thanks again – and best regards

OK. Thanks for info and always present support. Let’s close this thread :)

January 20, 2016 at 10:41 am in reply to: Portfolio item categories appear in postslider by update to 3.4.7 #568487Dear team
You are an outstanding support team which is one of my main reasons for having Enfold as my absolute favorite WP theme.
In this case however we appearently keep talking past one another and what was meant to be a “little” question turns into something seemingly complicated.
As I mentionned from start the actual problem HAS BEEN SOLVED by the css code given by Rikard. So you will no longer be able to see the problem/issue on any of my clients web sites.
If you upgrade your own demo http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/ to 3.4.7 you might see the same problem – which is: In postsliders the portfolio items categories suddenly appear as a line of text above the titel – which has never happened before. It did so on all of my present 4 living client web sites.
But again: The actual problem HAS BEEN SOLVED. I just wondered if it was not a flaw to display the portfolio item categories in postsliders…
very best regards
January 18, 2016 at 10:31 am in reply to: Portfolio item categories appear in postslider by update to 3.4.7 #567042Hi Rikard
Thanks again :)
It seems I am not able to explain this clearly, sorry about that. One last try:
First: I DO use child themes and your css-code DID work – and thanks again!
My only concern or question: Why does Enfold (when I updated to 3.4.7) suddenly show portfolios item categories above the title in postsliders? It did not do that in previous versions. I always use portfolio sliders as ex. presentation of news on the frontpage, and displaying which categories I have given a portfolio item does not serve any purpose. It is abundant information – and should not be there by default in my opinion.
Very best regards
January 17, 2016 at 6:34 pm in reply to: Portfolio item categories appear in postslider by update to 3.4.7 #566821Hi Basilis
Thanks for your answer. Much appreciate it.
However: All I want is, that the portfolios item categories are not shown in text above the title – an issue appearing with the update to 3.4.7. I guess this is not a feature request? And maybe I do not know where to look, but I can not see, that it is optional? Can I choose or not choose it anywhere? (besides offcourse the css-code, which works ok)
Thanks again
January 16, 2016 at 2:47 pm in reply to: Portfolio item categories appear in postslider by update to 3.4.7 #566530Hi Rikard
Thanks a lot. That did it. I really appreciate your great support !!.
However I have 4 clients using Enfold (and more to come), and now I have to make these changes in child theme to all of them, right? I am just wondering why changes like these are made in new versions of Enfold. I guess most people like me would not want to have portfolios item categories shown in text above the title on a postslider?
Very best regards
