ok thanks anyway
thanks
this doenst work.
I am guessing that the only way i can do this is to remove all translated strings and re-add only the ones i want afterwards.
This would really be a pain to do, for each installation.
Isnt there a way to avoid the translations at least for the backend (wp-admin)? Its really confusing even for natives.
is dont want to use a plugin though. i just want to remove all the strings of the backend.
or else delete all the strings in russian language. and reenter manually what i need
i like the fact that most people get excited and update to the latest WordPress without first updating their theme.
Remember people….update theme…then wordrpess.
cheers
Create a folder “includes” under your enfold child theme folder.
Copy the file “error404.php” from “enfold/includes” to “enfold-child/includes” and edit it accordingly.
cool thanks
thanks but how did you manage that? did you do it through the advanced layout editor or the debug box?

July 2, 2014 at 1:45 pm in reply to: How to disable the WPML language selector in the menu after search icon? #286188i have a similar issue and i tried the code and it doesnt work.
i am using the header with the menu below, and i would like to remove the language switcher from the menu.Your solution above does not work though.
tablepress does not suit, but thanks for forwarding my bug. Hopefully this will get solved in a new update.
i understand that it is a bug but cant you forward it to the developers to release a fix on the next update at least? I am dealing with a client that uses an excessive amount of tables, and it is a pain to go to each and every one to remove false <p>’s .
any updates?
why should i disable it? I want to use it.
i read the thread and i will talk with the plugin developer. thanks
yeap.
March 18, 2014 at 10:18 am in reply to: WPML language switcher disappeared after upgrading Enfold #239258dont get me wrong…my mind is surely not on the same level as yours. I am outside theming and you are in it, so you know best!
Enfold is the best theme out there and i love it :) whatever you end up doing is fine with me :)
March 18, 2014 at 9:46 am in reply to: WPML language switcher disappeared after upgrading Enfold #239234This is something that will be applied on the next update? I still think that a choice of a dropdown under header elements would be the way to go.
WPML Language Switcher
- Show top left
- Show top right
- Show right of main menu
- Show left of main menu
- Dont show
If enabled then the following extra options will appear:
WPML Language Switcher Style
- Flags
- Text
- Flags with native text
- Flags with display text
Just my two cents :)

Maybe you can add it as a checkbox in header options (display WPML language switcher on top left/right.)
Thanks.
March 14, 2014 at 4:32 pm in reply to: WPML language switcher disappeared after upgrading Enfold #237716i am having the same problem, updated to 2.6.1 and its gone.
i updated theme files 2-3 through FTP just to make sure, tried various browsers but they do not appear.
One strange thing also is that if a create a new menu and set it as secondary, enable that in enfold header options and thenenable the option “Display the language switcher in the WP Menu” under WPML>Languages, it shows up along with a new switcher.
anyone else having problems with it and can provide a solution?
ok thanks, updating the files worked.
cheers
thanks for reporting the bug.
I already have the tables created, so i cant use the table shortcode. It would be too much time wasted, to recreate all the tables from scratch.

Thank you very much.
Hello,
Thanks for the response.
Your solution though does not fix my problem.
Since i create a customized homepage of my own, i want that to be displayed, because then i will end up with 2 homepages again.
eg. Home > Home Page > My page.
just add
