HI Rikard,
That did it! I didn’t catch that there was an update. Sorry to bother you, but thanks for the help…
Greg
We can definitely close it; I checked it out and it looks great. Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it…
Greg
Hi Mike,
Awesome, it works! Thanks so much for figuring this one out, I really appreciate it..
I see that this css was added also right before that:
.learndash-wrapper .ld-focus .ld-lesson-status,
.learndash-wrapper .ld-focus .ld-topic-status {
display: none;
}Did you put that in as well? Is that important? Just want to make sure I don’t get rid of it if it is and to let Keri know if she needs to put it in or not.
Thanks again,
GregHi Mike,
I extended the link for another week. Thanks for taking another look at the problem. I think the link is the same, but if not, I’ve supplied it in the private content area again…
Thanks,
GregHi Victoria,
You’re right, there are too many plugins, but unfortunately, we need them. However, I did disable every plugin on the site, except for WooCommerce and LearnDash, and the problem still existed, but not with a different theme. Not sure if you guys have a test site with WooCommerce that you could install LearnDash on and reproduce the problem? Keri did the same thing and continued to experience the problem. I appreciate you pulling in your colleagues…
Keri, do you have a lot of plugins running? If not, do you have a way to provide Enfold a temporary login on your site as well so that they have more than one platform to debug on?
Thanks,
GregSorry, it expired! I’ve extended it for another seven days. I copied it back into the Private Content area below again, just in case…
Thanks,
GregHi Keri,
Thanks for reaching out again. I agree that it would be great to get some help on this.
Enfold, is there a chance you could take another look at this for us?
Thanks,
GregHi Keri,
Good to know you’re seeing the same results, and since you’ve already upgraded to version 4 and are seeing the same thing, I don’t have to stress about upgrading immediately.
Darn good question as to where to go here; now we have three areas involved; Enfold, WooCommerce, and LearnDash. However, it does work on other themes.
Question for Enfold/Rikard. Is it possible for you to setup a simple setup with just Enfold, WooCommerce, and LearnDash and activate the LearnDash 3.0 template in the LearnDash settings and create a simple 1 or 2 question quiz and see if there’s a way to find out what’s going on? I suspect many LearnDash users are also using WooCommerce, so more will see this problem in the future. Since it works with other themes, you might be best positioned to investigate further.
Keri, any other ideas?
Thanks,
GregHi Keri,
Hmmm. Bummer. That puts us in a tough spot.
I did some more investigating and disabled all of my plugins and the problem went away. After turning them on one by one, I narrowed it down to WooCommerce causing the problem. However, it must be something also in conjunction with Enfold, because it works with the WordPress 2019 theme with WooCommerce enabled.
Do you have WooCommerce enabled on your site as well? If so, could you try disabling it and see if it fixes the problem on your end as well? I see there’s a major 4.0 update of WooCommerce available. I’m trying to convince myself to upgrade and see what happens. :-)
Thanks,
GregHi Keribird,
Glad to hear I’m not the only one and that I’m not hallucinating! Are you saying that you reached out to LearnDash and that was the response you got? I can also try reaching out to them and say I’m seeing the same thing. I’m not sure what more detail we can provide them, though, since we don’t know what is causing the problem. I don’t think they have a forum like this, so I won’t be able to jump on your thread, which will make it harder to connect us. Let me know if you have any other information before I get a hold of them…
Thanks,
GregHi Rikard,
Thanks for taking a look. I will reach out to LearnDash, but usually the first thing they ask is if it works on another theme and then have you talk to the theme developer. However, maybe they will have some insight on where to look. I’ll get back with you if they have any information that could help here.
Thanks,
GregHi There,
I created a PDF document with some screenshots showing what happens with each template and how to change the templates. I put the Dropbox link to it in the Private Content area along with a temporary login link that last for a week.
When using the new LearnDash 3.0, which has a lot of new features I would like to use, the quiz results are not shown to the user nor are the buttons to show their certificate and other stuff as shown in the document. It does work properly with the old Legacy template which is what it’s set for now. You can take a short, two question test quiz at https://woodworkcareer.org/quizzes/test-quiz/. You can put anything in text boxes at the beginning to start the quiz; the right answers are the first answer for both questions. You can change the template as shown in the PDF under LearnDash settings to the 3.0 template (no other settings have to be changed) to see the behavior.
Let me know if you need anything else…
Thanks,
GregThanks for getting back to me.
I did see that thread, but didn’t think it applied, but I did try it today and it didn’t make a difference. I’m not sure how to upload screenshots to this forum, but I’ve got shots of what it does when it’s working, and when it’s not.
Let me know what the best way to proceed is…
Thanks,
GregHi Jordan,
So sorry, a little bit ago, I figured out that it was the LearnPress plugin that was adding it’s own breadcrumbs to the page and I figured out how to disable it; I should have written you right away and let you know. I appreciate you checking so quickly.
However, I found another problem that I think is being aggravated by the same plugin. If you look at this page:
http://www.cabwritersoftware.com/education/sketchup-training/
You’ll see that the sidebar is showing on the page even though I have that disabled in the Enfold settings and on the page itself. I’ve set this page as the landing page for LearnPress courses, so they must be doing something that causes the sidebars to show up. Is there a way to globally disable showing the sidebars? I’m not going to mess with this for awhile, so it should still be there when you look at it.
Thanks again,
GregThat did it! Thank you so much for the help, I appreciate it…
Greg
Oops, Sorry!
Here’s the link:
http://www.workbenchschool.com/Wordpress/class-calendar/
You’ll see an event in a blue box on December 21st.
Thanks,
GregI am also testing an almost identical events calendar plugin from IgniteWoo, which is having pretty much the exact same problem. I tried using the same code with their shortcode, but it didn’t fix it. I would like to use the IgniteWoo version because it has a lot of other things I need. I don’t suppose you have any hints on how to attack that one? :-)
Thanks again,
Greg -
