P.S. For those who wish to achieve something similar – there’s a great solution on this thread:

nerkasaMay 28, 2014 at 9:50 pm in reply to: Placing blog title above featured image, excerpts below #271435Hei Peter !
You see, I did paste a modified postslider.php file to the child theme directory, keeping the same folder hierarchy: child-theme-folder>config-templatebuilder>avia-shortcodes>postslider.php. I know what you’re thinking: duh! But at that time the common logic cunningly whispered to my ear that I was really smart in doing so. I did not put the postslider.php file to the shortcodes folder, because it was beyond my logical capabilities to understand why the files in the child theme shouldn’t have the same folder hierarchy as those in the parent theme.
Fortunately, your last message made me turn away from the thorny path of mistakes… Sincere thanks!1) Is there a rule that defines which of the parent theme files shall be pasted to child theme folder, which – to the special folders like “shortcodes” and which – to the folders retaining same hierarchy as the parent theme?
Thanks again,
Best regards,

Big thanks yet again Josue! Awesome support!

nerkasaJosue,
Amazing, you did more than I could expect, thanks for solving this headache man!
Just one last thing – how do I get rid of these nasty bullets also in the sub-menu (I tried the last two hours but without success), and make the sub-menu drop down in a standard way – drop down on a side, not straight forward down (please see the url example on the top of this thread) ?My quick css now looks like this:
#nav_menu-6.widget_nav_menu .sub-menu{
display: none;
}#nav_menu-6.widget_nav_menu .menu > li:hover .sub-menu{
display: block;
}#top .widget ul { list-style: none; font-weight: bold;}
#top .widget ul li:hover {
border-top: none;
border-bottom: none;
background-image: -webkit-gradient(
linear,
left bottom,
left top,
color-stop(0, #C9F0FF),
color-stop(1, #0099D1)
);
background-image: -o-linear-gradient(top, #C9F0FF 0%, #0099D1 100%);
background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #C9F0FF 0%, #0099D1 100%);
background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #C9F0FF 0%, #0099D1 100%);
background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #C9F0FF 0%, #0099D1 100%);
background-image: linear-gradient(to top, #C9F0FF 0%, #0099D1 100%);!important;
}Thanks again,

Best regards,
nerkasaHi Devin,
Thanks for your response and sorry for my late reply.
You’re right, I do lack html and css knowledge, so I’m gonna invest more time in learning.
Best regards,
nerkasaHei Devin, thanks for your response!
1) If the class name “effect2″ was already assigned to this call to action element (i.e. to the element’s main div) in the html, perhaps the selector .my-call-to-action-element wouldn’t be needed here at all (only .effect2 selector would be needed, exactly just like it is written in the example css code on http://www.paulund.co.uk/creating-different-css3-box-shadows-effects ?
.
.
2) Could you tell me where are the files, where I could include the html part of the code:
<div class=”box effect2”>
<h3>CALL TO ACTION ELEMENT</h3>
</div>
I am using blank child theme, so I guess I must copy the responsible parent folder containing these files, and then paste and edit them in the child theme.
.
.
3) I guess, giving the element custom css class name “effect2” in the custom css class field is not the right way to do it either? (already tried it – naming the element “effect2 instead of “my-call-to-action-element” – however, with no effect):

.
.
Thanks a lot yet again,Best regards,

That did the trick, thanks yet again !Cheers,
NerkasHi Ismael, I’ll give it a try.
Could you just shortly confirm whether I understand it right: this code shall be placed in the parent theme (not child theme), and later it might be overwritten by the new theme updates, so that it has to be manually pasted in there again.
Thanks for the awesome theme and awesome support.
Cheers,
NerkasThanks for the prompt reply!
