Problem solved!
After contacting my hosting company (Hostek), and describing the problem, they disabled Mod-security for my domain. I can now edit pages, add downloads, etc. Thanks for the help, everyone.
For the benefit of others, this solved the following four problems.
Unable to view media in library
Unable to add new downloads via Simple Download Manger
Unable to edit pages or posts
Unable to perform backups or change settings in BackupbuddyApril 17, 2015 at 12:38 am in reply to: Need to do a clean install of Enfold? The problems remain the same.
Thanks,

April 13, 2015 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Need to do a clean install of Enfold? Can't edit anything. #427585Gunter, thanks for the reply. I added
define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’ );
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’ );to my wp-config.php file, but this causes me to get an error of
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ” );’ (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING) in /home/nickdimm/public_html/wp-config.php on line 83
If I include only define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’ ); in the wp-config.php file, I don’t get the parse error, but I still have the original problem.
I’m a newby at this. Am I doing this incorrectly?
I thought about putting these in the custom CSS box through the admin area, but I can’t get to that because of the original problem
Thanks,
NickOH, I didn’t realize that was from a third party plug in. It is part a plugin I was not using. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ismael,
Thank you for the response. I did not use any apostrophes in the team member’s description, but I don’t understand why that would be a problem, anyway. If I can’t use and apostrophe in a text box, there’s something wrong that needs to be fixed.
I am still unable to explain what’s going on. I created a new page and added exactly the same content as the old page. The new page works the way it is supposed to. The old page continues to delete members if I add a description to another member.
Nick
More Info: George is in the same layout column as Steve. When I added a short description to “Kevin Harrison,” it makes “Gary Clawson” disappear. They are in the same column, with Gary coming after Kevin. “Duane Denlinger,” who is also in that column, but third in line, was not affected. Also, though I have not added social / link icons to any of the team members, when I add a description, I get two blank icons by default.
Never mind, I got it. I added the following to quick css:
.post-meta-infos { display: none; }
This did the trick.
I found some similar posts and added the following via quick css:
.post-meta-infos span {
display: none;
}This leaves me with just the date. How can I get rid of the date, too?
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Thanks for the response, folks. Here’s the thing I’m confused about. The particular staff person that I’m having trouble with – “Dawn” – doesn’t have anything in the hover effects (social services / icon area of the editor), but when I hover over the photo, I still get the blank symbols. I can delete all the “tabs,” but it still shows up for this person, but not others. Any thoughts?
