I already tried the settings, but this doesn’t work for me. I use a child theme. Maybe that information is also important.
My aim is to make only the content area smaller. I don’t use a sidebar. Header and footer should remain at full width.

How is it possible to change only the width of the content area?

I would also prefer the idea of classywebsites. This should be at least for those who activated layerslider. Or is there any chance to remove the restriction of the plugin layerslider not being updated?
