Yes thanks, someone else helped me fix that excerpt problem. I wonder if you could look at the other issues I have in my open topics – my site admin side has been running very very slow for the past 2 days. I have added memory to my wp-config.php file but that didn’t help.
Is there any way to test what’s going on?

My site is running very slowly on the back end – will this change help with that? I don’t see any improvement yet. The site itself
loads fine, but editing is now very slow – the pages reload very slowly.

thanksyes I did figure that out but am having trouble with WPML setup.
Should I start another topic?I don’t understand the difference between “duplicating” a page and then translating independently and +translating it. When I do use the +translate button, the translation also includes the shortcodes in the visual editor of the body text – is that how it is supposed to be? I need to send them to another translator. I unfortunately duplicated all the english pages instead of using the +translator, and am trying to find a way to use those pages, which are partially translated, instead of starting all over and using the +translate button. Can you help me with this?

I got the post revisions back but need to know what is going on. Also realized I set up the WPML pages wrong, so the instability I am seeing on the translated pages was because of that. I will try to increase the php memory – what does that do?

I tried this plugin called DIsplay Widgets which seems to
work but doesn’t display the correct portfolio on that page.
I worked around it by putting all the items I wanted at the
top of my portfolio taxonomy, but I’d rather do it the right way.

Could you check the config of the WPML – it was very unstable
before I reinstalled a new version of the plugins, but I’m not sure
it’s set right. I am seeing a problem on the News / Nyheder pages
which do not link correctly in the language switcher. Keeps defaulting
to the landing. also, if you try to go to Nyheder from this page:

it gets a 404 error on a different site directory. ???

nThanks – I tried that but it doesn’t work. Still getting the whole post. I also am having a problem with the links for the NEWS page – the language switcher is defaulting to the landing pages instead of the translated NEWS / NYHEDER pages – not sure what that’s about. Is there a different setting because it’s a blog post?

I reinstalled the WPML plugins and looked at the info you linked to but I am still having
the problem of the settings defaulting and me losing all the work I did on the danish pages
of the site. Very frustrating! What do I have set wrong??
thanksI have got the site up again, but there are still pages that suddenly default or have other errors.
How can I see what is causing this? Pages change names or switch to the other language. Doesn’t Enfold support WPML?
I am not doing anything terribly complicated… I just updated to the new version, and have disabled some plugins I think
were incompatable.

Using WPML and getting 404 errors now randomly on various pages:

and also spent the whole day yesterday fixing and refixing pages and links that would then default
to the english pages (including renaming the pages and permalinks). I have just fixed them
again but the whole site seems unstable now as I am seeing all 404 errors except for the landing pages.
Any ideas what is happening here? I am freaking out!

I removed the css code as it was shrinking the logo again, and messed up other elements on other pages with avia elements of the same number.

with them all still centered.
thankswill that disable the header resizing? I don’t want it to do that, but I get that it’s anchoring from the top of the page under the header.

On the same page, what is the best way to move the 2 1/3 columns closer together –
the ones with the “corporate” and “short & doc” logos in them – right now I have 3 1/3 columns
with the center one empty. I need less space between them.
