I decided to revert to the earlier version as I had many updates to do but I did clear the cache many times…
thanksOctober 8, 2015 at 10:57 pm in reply to: help my site is suddenly 1030px wide instead of 1310… #516109I am forcing the site width via css but it seems like my advanced styling is not displaying correctly and there are mobile changes I am seeing on the PC. Can you take a look? confusing!
thanks
NancyOctober 8, 2015 at 9:07 am in reply to: help my site is suddenly 1030px wide instead of 1310… #515633I have looked through the css and can’t find what is happening. It seems like some of the mobile styling is displaying on the large screen – fx my image captions are disabled. I also am not seeing some of my advanced styling on my fonts (h3, h4 are wrong), and still have it only at 1030 width…. Please help!
thanks

thanks I will. appreciate your help!
thanks! that !important was important!
one more about wp maps – is there a way to set a different zoom level on mobiles?
Nancyhi Elliot
thanks!
#2 worked fine,
#1 – needed to be h2 a:hover {color: red} but I figured that out
thanks!

thanks everyone – I got it looking right now

NancyHi Ismael.
Thanks for the help.
In regards to 1) above, I am trying to decrease the spaces between the title and caption and the caption and button…?
the other codes worked great – thanks!
NancyHi Dake
I have moved all the caption styling to the top of my quick css.
thanks for taking a look
NancyHi Dake
yes the hide slideshow stylings are still there
I don’t think the line height setting is right but I couldn’t target the caption…Is there an easy way to clean up my css? I always seem to have 100s of lines of code, but not sure how to best organize it…
thanks for your help
NancyHey Elliot
this is how it’s set now: http://imgur.com/NQ9CjXiit’s not super important but it’s strange it’s the only setting that I am having trouble with.
thanks for taking a look
NancyHi Andy
I have cleared the cache many times. I have had this issue for a while. Don’t think there is any caching pluginHI Elliot
Thanks –
the problem with the background color is it’s not taking the changes I make in the general settings – it stays gray for example instead of changing to white – right now I have it set to #ffffff but it’s not working.
any ideas? I don’t think I have a background color set in the css that would be overriding that setting.
NancyHi Andy
That’s just what I needed – Thanks very much!
NancyHI Andy
That code for adjusting the padding effects all the portfolio images on the site – I only want to target the galleries. (it was messing up the portfolio grid images on fx this page: http://andesworldtravel.com/trips/galapagos-wildlife-cruises/)
On this page:
http://andesworldtravel.com/trips/cruise-odyssey/#tab-id-4
if I hover on an image it overlaps the one next to it just a bit (ie there is no space between the 2 column images). I’m just trying to get a little padding between them, only in the galleries.
Is this possible?
thanks for taking a look,
Nancythanks
thanks I will check into it
OK yes I see that – thanks. Nothing I can do about the server side caching…?
OK thanks – but can you tell me why the new name is not showing up automatically?
I tried the code but it did not work…
??
thanks for taking a look

beautiful, thanks.
looks great
Ngreat thanks!
last question – can the padding to the left of the arrows be adjusted as well? I am trying to save space since it’s such a large menu
you’re the best :)
NancyOK – can you help me with increasing the padding between the gallery images a bit?
thanksHi Andy –
Can you take a look at that page again? I had to remove this
img.attachment-portfolio {
padding-right: 54px;
}
as it was interfering with other portfolio images on the site.
Now I have the gallery set back to 2 column, portfolio size (495×400), and there is a bit of an overlap on the images. Can you help me figure out how to just put a little padding between them? I can live with the size I guess.
thanks for your help
Nancythanks – that helped somewhat but there is still some kind of overlap on the left hand images…I just am trying to have good sized thumbnails in a layout that works on all devices (seems like 2 columns is best) with a little padding in between.
any suggestions?

thanks
yes! that was it and much easier than finding all the IDs (I will be adding more of those submenus.
one more: is it possible to remove the padding where the arrow was? – ie move the whole menu over to the left?thanks so much! you are the guru.

OK – thanks
what about the hiding of the arrows on those orange sub-items? This code is not working for me, unless I am using the wrong Item ID#s
??yes, I have those IDS, but aren’t those are for the top menu links (Nature/Culture, Trekking, Climbing)? I am trying to target the just the orange submenu items “Destinations” & “Roundtrips”…I have them as ID’s 6096 & 6095 under the Nature/Culture > Colombia menu…see at the bottom of http://imgur.com/oZ3QwkR

cool thanks! That’s what I needed…
I (finally) found the menu ID number for the “Destinations” title under Nature/Culture > Colombia, here: http://imgur.com/oZ3QwkR
and added this to the quick css:
li#menu-item-6096 .avia-menu-fx {
display: none!important;
}
but I don’t see the changes….any suggestions?
thanks!
