I’ve downgraded to PHP 7.3 (the lowest with GoDaddy), enabled PHP ZipArchive Extension. Then played a lot with disabling and removing plugins. The demo import issues changed a bit allowing me to download demo files. I simply tried updating it again and again – and some point my attempts were successful, the new demo is up and running now.

Better WordPress Minify was up to date, I disabled it and tried updating the demo. But the demo import error still occurs. Could you please try it on your end?

Resolved by disabling a cache plugin.
