I appreciate your efforts here Josue, is there anyway the language string could be corrected instead? I feel that would be ideal. Duplicating those files, while it will save me from having breaks on updates it may also result in me not getting changes done to them when updating or having to manually change them.
How can we get the language string to work properly? is it a bug that it is on a different text-domain?
I noticed that a little earlier today and found the string to translate. I did translate it but it didn’t have any effect on the front end. I’ve translated everything else without issues but that one in particular will not change.
I have a feeling it has something to do with the text-domain it is using. I know I could manually change on that template but that will get lost on an update, so ideally would like for it to work correctly when translating or modify that via the child theme if possible.
Thanks!
Thank you! it seems to work but it is showing up at the very bottom of the page which isn’t ideal on my current page setup. While I might be able to work around that it would be ideal if there was a way I could target the links to show up at a specific location? is there any way to do that?
Additionally I just noticed that the code is being applied everywhere (on all pages) including the homepage which isn’t ideal. Is there any way to limit it to portfolio items?
Thanks.

October 14, 2014 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Adding content after title + breadcrumbs but before page content #335632Ok that makes sense and I can accept that limitation. In this case is there any hook that would allow me to do the same thing specifically on the homepage then? (or perhaps on a page that does not have the title / breadcrumbs setup?)
Thanks.
Thank you for the code.
It seems to work on the backend and the frontend appears to display (as expected) but the permalink to the page does not seem to work. It throws a 404 error when clicked. My best guess is that some routing needs to be setup for the new logic?
Thanks.
I deactivated all plugins (except for the event calendar) and i flushed permalinks settings.
Still had the same result with the 404.
What’s next?

I am not looking to create child categories, I know how to do that. I am looking to create tired documents (similar to how pages work).
So lets say I have a portfolio that hosts all picture of today, but today I took pictures of plants, ants, the zoo and the park. What I want to do is create a portfolio entry for “Today” and within it children of “Today” with my classification.
-> Today
-> The Park
-> The Zoo
-> Plants
-> AntsEtc
I understand your suggestion of using categories but these categories are specific to a given day, not global parameters, so categories are not my best option.
Let me know if that makes sense.
FYI, this functionality is available if you check under WordPress > Pages, but it does not seem to be available in the Portfolio custom type.

October 13, 2014 at 4:37 pm in reply to: Adding content after title + breadcrumbs but before page content #335009Thank you, I will try that. I did a search on http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/ and could not find any information that would point me towards the available hooks in the theme.
Thank you for the reply.
Adjusting those values would be okay for my screen specifically or a fixed size. I was hoping for something that would dynamically calculate the current screen size via javascript and define the left and top values then so that it would always center.
Thanks.
Thank you, that’s exactly what I wanted. Is there any way to load the popup in the middle of the screen? right now it is launching very oddly at the top left corner.
Thanks.
Thank you.
I’m not a fan of modifying source files as they will break on upgrade so I always try to make changes on a child theme.
Is there any way this modification can be integrated in the child theme?
Thanks.
Scratch this thread, my problem was that I had both portfolio-item as well as portfolio changed to the same slug and this obviously was conflicting. Making them both different works as expected.
Thanks.
Ok I think I found the problem. So the link does work but since I had changed my permalinks from “portfolio” to something else, it gives me a broken link. Seems like I need to manually adjust that slug somewhere?
