Yes, the problem is not with creating the API key. We have done it successfully in the past and it was working just fine until your recent update. Please read the error I received that I previously posted and advise how to fix the issue.
Thank you
Thank you!
No, we are not using a plugin. Again the issue is only occurring on our two sites that use your theme.
I would appreciate a response to my question please as this is a very big issue to us and it is the result of your theme. We have the same issue occurring on another site using the same theme.
No, I had to restore a backup because we were completely locked out and the only thing we could see was the previous error I sent you.
As I mentioned originally, the errors are intermittent, but they tend to go away when we clear the cache. Can you please tell me what is causing this and how we can fix it (without code that will break out site this time)?
That completely broke our site and we can’t access wordpress at all now.
All we get is:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas16_data02/37/3686837/html/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php on line 10Hi Basilis,
Here is the dropbox link. And the issue seems to be happening all the time now.
Thanks
Thank you!
Perfect, thank you!
HI Basilis
The links on that page are in the same color as the rest of the text, they are underlined and there is no hover color. All other links in the main content are blue, with no decoration and have the green hover as seen on the page listed below.
Thanks!
I tried this as well as:
.sub_menu_socket {
display: none !important;
}and it still is not working for me. Any suggestions?
It is finally working, thank you!!
I have followed all of those steps multiple times and it has not worked for me
Hi Yigit,
I updated the theme, created a new API, waited over 20 mins and flushed the cache but I am still getting the same error when I try to fetch coordinates “Google changed the way google maps work. You now need to enter a valid Google Maps API Key”
Ok here is the info.
Thank you!
My google account settings are listed below, thank you
Unfortunately, I have tried 3 times and waited weeks yet it is still not working. I need some help on this ASAP please so we can launch our site
I have already tried that multiple times. It is not working for me
Thank you for the help @goldengate415 but unfortunately that didn’t work for me either. Now when I try to use the google maps media element I get the this error even though I created a new api key and it is saved in the enfold options. Here is a screenshot of the google console as well
I removed the child theme functions.php workaround, I cleared my browser cache and flushed the site’s cache. Still not working
I have updated the theme, I have an API key, I have flushed the cache and there is still no change. Any idea what the problem may be?
When will you have a fix for this? It has been about two weeks and I would like an idea of when it will be ready.
Thank you
@yigit Any idea when this will be fixed?
Thanks!
Wonderful, thank you!
I tried that but it is still not appearing. I have waited over an hr and I have flushed the cache but no luck.
My functions.php file in the child theme is as follows. I believe I set it up correctly but please let me know if there is an issue there:
<?php
/*
* Enfold Child theme functions file
*/function gmaps_workaround(){
?>
<!–Google Maps JavaScript API –>
<script src=”https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=AIzaSyBmJ88SEbXHywfHPmHS4jYsK9gG_QH5rtY”
type=”text/javascript”></script>
<?php
}
add_action(‘wp_footer’, ‘gmaps_workaround’);Thank you, I had put that in because without it the top section has way too much white space around it.
What I can I do to just control the top section?
Thank you!
This problem is now occurring on multiple pages when in responsive view. One of the color sections displays on top of the one above it.
Hello,
I know that site was not made with enfold, i was just using that as an example because that was easier than trying to explain it.
It is currently set to “scale to fit,” however the issue still remains when it is set to “no repeat”
Hi, I did try it but as I said making that change still maintains the section height of the desktop version which becomes way too large on a mobile view and parts of the image get cut off when the page is made smaller.
Without that change the entire background image always shows and when you reduce the size of the page, the image size reduces proportionately (which I like). But when it switches to mobile view I want to eliminate the white space all together. In the desktop view I have the minimum height set to 700px so that enough of the image shows. But when it switches to mobile view 700px is way too large for the screen.
If possible I would like the height of the section to change proportionately, in the same way that the image does (aka gets smaller as the page does) so that the whole image is still displayed on the mobile view but have the empty space that is left to fill the 700px minimum height go away.
Does that make sense?
Hi Ismael,
Unfortunately that doesn’t fix the problem because that still maintains the section height of the desktop version. I like how the image resizes responsively and the size of the image decreasing as the page does is perfect but I just want to know if there is a way to get rid of the white space above and below as the section tries to maintain the original height.
Thanks,
