Thanks Yigit
I’ll give that a try.

Thanks but that only seems to disable it in smartphone portrait
But then I have no parallax effect with the full screen slider, which is what I need. I have tried this and the slider just scrolls up with the rest of the page.
How can I achieve a parallax effect that is responsive? We’re not talking about cropping off ‘a bit’ of the edges. We’re talking about reducing it to about 25% of the original.NB – I have tagged this thread for email notification of replies but I am not receiving them.
Thanks
Mark
Hi Ismael
Thanks but it doesn’t seem to do anything. When centering the image in the fullscreen slider it is still being cropped left and right when viewed on a tablet or mobile in portrait. As you can see, it’s a picture of the team so I can’t have it cropped but to be honest, I don’t want any of the images to be cropped (as they are now on each page when viewed on smaller devices).
Without really knowing what I’m doing I amended the ‘minimum-height-100’ and the ‘height: 200px;’ both independently and together but could see no change in the image size on a phone.
Is there an alternative to gaining a parallax effect whilst easily maintaining the image dimensions?
See website for current issue with your code in place as sent.
ALSO – does parallax effect work on tablets and phones? I’m not seeing it.

Hi Yigit
Thanks but you were correct. On a tablet I had 2 images and on a phone in portrait I had the start of a third. It appears to be filling a pre-defined space. I have tried all three size options (no scaling, large and extra large) but non see to have any effect.
I’ve never had this issue with the Advanced layer slider and it seems strange that we have to use custom JS (which I cannot do) to solve this. I have tried swapping this for a colour background with just the image and no other content but I have the same issue.
Essentially all I want is to use parallax view in two locations on the home page and at the top of most other pages. But I need those images to be responsive. Is there a simple way of achieving this with another tool? See notes above for website address.
Thanks
Mark
That sorted it
Thanks Yigit
Thanks foe that but it’s only removed the icon within the placeholder. Now I just have empty boxes the same size as before. See website link sent with first post.

OK, thanks Yigit. I’ll probably take the plunge and work it out as I go!
Thanks for your help.

Sorry no, I have been given the scope to design the website myself within the confines of what I mentioned earlier. I just need to know i can do it without too much coding. I use Enfold due to it’s ease of use.
So I can’t really say what changes I would like to make at this stage. It was more a case of determining that I can change the look of the header mainly, if I need to.

Thanks but does this mean the entire styling of the page will be written in Custom CSS instead of using your theme options?

Thanks Dude. That may be what we need.

It was the text in each tab but I’ve just checked again and it’s fine now.
Thanks for the new header features. They’re a big help.

Hey Josue
Thanks but was this reply meant for someone else? I have absolutely no understanding of what this means. My issue was fixed when I downloaded the latest update and used the new Header tools. The fault I reported was purely to help with your debugging and refers to what I see when I am logged in and looking at the Header tool. It is not a fault with my website, which works fine.
I was simply saying that when I am looking at the new Header tool the text in the various tabs runs outside the text boxes. It’s not causing a problem but I thought you might like to know.
Am I explaining this OK?

A false economy in this case! Theme now updated and I did in 10 seconds what I couldn’t in an hour yesterday. Lesson learned.
Thanks for the pointer.

Brilliant. Thanks for that

Just what I needed. Thanks
Excellent! Thanks so much for the help and so quick to respond. Great support!
Just regarding my last point – is the cart icon designed to NOT show on smartphone screens? This would mean the only route to the cart/checkout would be via the two links I have just added at the very top of the page.
Thanks Devin
That works a treat. Is there some code to override this on smartphones so that the phone number doesn’t run into the logo (and also reduce the font size on a smartphone)?

Mark
I have sorted this now thanks
Update – Had a chance to view on a tablet and the menu sits over the logo (on an ipad mini it was overlapping in both portrait and landscape). I’ve looked at so many solutions on here to what sound like similar issues but none work. It seems as though the menu is staying as-is until it resizes for mobile layout. At no point do I see the the dropdown for tablet.
Just in case my custom CSS is affecting this please see it below:
.main_menu ul:first-child>li a {
font-size: 16px!important;
}#top .ls-wp-container { margin-top: 40px!important; }
.social_header .phone-info {
line-height: 12px;
font-size: 22px;
font-weight: bold;
}body {
font-size: 15px;
}.your-message textarea { height: 80px; }
.title_container .main-title {
margin: 0;
font-size: 30px;
position: relative;
z-index: 2;
min-height: 36px;
line-height: 2.3em;
top: 0;
font-weight: 400;
}.js_active .tab { font-size: 22px;}
.tab {
background-color: black;
color: white;
}Each element above has been taken from the corresponding forum solution for the required change.
Thanks
Mark
