Is there any other way to do this? MY backup crashed… I’m out of luck with a recent backup. What is I install Enbfold somewher else, and then just grab the index.php file… will that work?
Thanks!!
That did it. Thanks so much!! Amazing support. Education…
The AJAX portfolio images. They still open a lightbox, or try to, on mobile. Take a look at http:..mcalpin.net on the iPhone for instance… and choose one of the portfolio pieces. If you choose the Mesaging/Branding post, you’ll see that tapping on any of these photos brings up a lightbox. It shouldn’t. Also… although the arrows for the slideshow are gone… the little dots are still there. Can er get rid of those also?
Thanks Yigit!
Thanks. Yep, that did it. It seems the lightbox on these is enabled now, on mobile… it is still disabled (you gave me this code a while ago) for the desktop. But how can I make sure it’s disabled on mobile too?
Thanks for all your help with this!!
Thanks Yigit! That did it.
Also, I just noticed… the controls for the slideshow within these AJAX portfolios…. shows on mobile. How can I hide these on mobile/tablet resolutions… and just leave them auto-rotating and swipable?
Thanks again!
Thanks Ismael. That broke my tabs above, for some reason. SO I just changed the number 175 to 82.. and it seems to do the trick.
Thank you!
Thanks Ismael…. Here ya go…

Thanks Devin. Do you guys have a tutorial about child themes? Would that keep the Javascript from changing to the newer, more abrupt settings too?
It does. I couldn’t get it to I bailed and restored.
I notice you also have the toggles (the only thing I could NOT get working) working a bit differently… they seem to open faster, and even bounce the bottom of the post down when they open. Don’t like that at all.
Here’s my dilema… I want to get and stay current on the theme, but I have delicately tweaked the theme. Take a look at how the toggles look and behave here…
and how I’ve make the next/prev arrow areas a bit shallower, etc… you guys also showed me how to disable the lightbox from opening portfolio post images. I’ve got it just how I like it. How can I upgradeand not mess any of this stuff up?
Thanks Dude!
October 18, 2013 at 6:11 am in reply to: My portfolio items a broken when not viewed with AJAX #177272Nope. Still doesn’t work. They all still come up in the AJAX search.
Thanks Devin
October 18, 2013 at 5:47 am in reply to: Can I remove the menu from just one page using CSS? #177270Solved……I found a plugin called Menu Override. Simple… now I have a box with drop down at the bottom right of every page, and you can assign any menu (which means you can have more than 1 or 2) to that page. Worked perfectly for me.
October 16, 2013 at 6:20 am in reply to: My portfolio items a broken when not viewed with AJAX #176230Thanks Josue. Not working though. See here…
http://mcalpin.net/brian-mcalpin/
search for any of the portfolios you see here…
they’re stiill showing up, and just deliver a thumbnail… no link even.
Ideas?
October 7, 2013 at 4:33 pm in reply to: My portfolio items a broken when not viewed with AJAX #171695Thanks Josue. I don’t see this code in your PHP files though. Also, I should mention… I’m trying to not include portfolio posts, but want to keep regular blog posts in the searches. I’m also using a plugin… Taxonomy Picker… for searching.
Can you advise?… seems like I’m just taking guesses here.
Thank you!
September 27, 2013 at 5:13 pm in reply to: My portfolio items a broken when not viewed with AJAX #167207That’s what I was thinking… to forward them to the grid page. Can you recommend a plugin to do this? I have never seen one.
Thanks!
Thanks Yigit! I had cancelled it out with 0px settings, but this is much cleaner.
Can you help me control the selected and rollover states of the menu too? So in the main menu items, and the drop downs… I want to be able to control font color and weight for rollovers and selected states. CanNOT get it. Can you direct me?
Thanks!
Example…

September 5, 2013 at 8:14 am in reply to: Still unable to disable the lightbox in AJAX view… #135982ok, thanks dude.
Thanks Devin.
That did it. Thanks so much. Works now (or doesn’t, rather). Can you tell me how to change the slideshow to a slide vertically instead of horizontally? same easing and everything is fine… would just like it different than the direction of the AJAX action…
Thanks Ismael!
Thanks Devin… Here is the older post…
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/slideshow-is-not-auto-rotating-when-previewing-in-ajax
And I thought I’d try it again, since I’ve upgraded the template since, but I can’t even locate that copy in slideshow.php.
Essentially… once one of these is opened up, and the slideshow starts (now it works, that was the bug Kriesi was referring to) I do NOT want the user to be able to click on these images from the slideshow to open them in a lightbox. I want to completely disable that function. They’re already watching the slideshow with full size images…

August 10, 2013 at 8:39 am in reply to: how to control the size of the smaller logo and/or the depth of the header area #118400Hi guys. Thanks. revisiting this again. Just upgraded to 1.9.1.
This is kindof how I like it…
http://networkgreenhouse.com/responsive/brian-mcalpin/
In Chrome the logo shrinks to about half… in safari it’s more like 2/3 of original size. Either is ok, but they both go smaller first. You have to scroll kindof slow to notice it in some browsers.
Here.. I left the firs 2 alone, and changed the second one to 1.7. Any way I can get it to only shrink to it’s smaller sixe, w/o going smaller first?
Thanks again!…
Saved again, by your great work. I upgraded manually to theme 1.9.1… retaining my CSS files (just didn’t replace them on the server) and everything works great.
Thanks guys… I’ll check with you next time…
I upgraded to 3.6 and the AJAX in the portfolio stops working after one also. And it’s not sliding… it’s just appearing. Ouch. Was this upgrade a bad decision on my part?
No… I haven’t installed anything but the template. Will check it again…

June 29, 2013 at 3:11 am in reply to: slideshow is not auto-rotating when previewing in AJAX #126181I tried this code switch, but still have the pics of an AJAX post opening a lightbox/slideshow. Is there something else I can try?
Thanks
June 29, 2013 at 2:35 am in reply to: slideshow is not auto-rotating when previewing in AJAX #126180Thanks Kriesi.. I’ll look for it.
And thank you for the great work. I’ve got a lot going on, but finessing my UI/UX so decisively on your framework is therapy.
I’m using Enfold for my new site, and Replete for a large corporate site with a LOT going on. It’ll be the largest responsive site I’ve ever seen. And if they’ll let me, it’ll be stunning as well.
Peace.
June 25, 2013 at 4:56 am in reply to: slideshow is not auto-rotating when previewing in AJAX #126178Oh man… this is such a basic, necessary function. auto-rotation of slideshow? The dialogue in the admin for the slideshow says “Slideshow” and “autorotation in seconds”. I love the AJAX, but this is a must, I would have not migrated my whole site if I had known. Do you know when we’ll get an answer?
Also… the link issue… these slideshows should have no link… and I can’t get rid of it. I don’t want to open the image in a lightbox. How do I turn that function off?
Thanks Devin!
