**SOLVED**
The plugin ‘Google Analyticator’ that I was using is apparently now out of date and appeared to be somehow conflicting the Widgets in Appearances (how that is possible I have no idea). Conflicts like this are my most disliked thing about using WordPress, it can then create confusion in discussion groups such as is.

My original problem:
I am unable to edit the footer area in my wordpress enfold theme. I am running WordPress 5.1, Enfold 4.5.4, all plugins up to date. Within the Enfold Theme Options, Footer, there are three columns set which I had originally created a while back. When I go to ‘Appearance’, ‘Widgets’, I see a list of available widgets but there are no ‘already-in-use’ widgets (normally they are shown to the right of the available widgets). So, I don’t understand where I am supposed to edit my already-in-use footer widgets?- This reply was modified 5 years, 8 months ago by mestrong.
Hello Rikard,
I placed an update note regarding this issue at the top of my original inquiry. The web hosting company I use was able log in through FTP and fix the issue. When I was updating Enfold within WordPress, Envato was apparently having s3amazon issues (now resolved) which affected the theme update, which seemed to then cause the slider issue. The slider is now working fine.
Thanks kindly for your response and time!
Monte** Update for below ** – the web hosting company for my website provided a fix for my problem and it was suggested I update Enfold in the future using FTP and not within the WordPress environment.
Hello,
I was recently prompted to update the Enfold Theme within WordPress ‘Updates’ (even though I had recently updated it within the last month or so). After clicking update under the Enfold theme settings/tabs/etc.it appeared to be complete but the very next link I clicked the screen went blank/white.
I tried re-signing into WordPress but when entering the wp-admin url into the browser, only a blank/white screen appears.
The second issue that has been created after I attempted the theme update explained above is that the full-width easy slider is not working.
I attempted to deactivate some plugins via FTP by renaming the plugin folder names but didn’t seem to have an affect on the website.
I will provide private content information to you.
Thanks for your input,
