Hi Mike,
thanks for your help! I can see all the text in the captions on a phone now :)
Though I don’t see your code block when I go into edit on the Homepage :(Though I wonder if the slider should be taller on mobile/phone view so that the caption text would be larger as well. It’s difficult to read on a phone.
I understand that the slider images would get cut on a phone on the left and right side to make it taller which would be fine. Thanks!
CarolinHi Basilis,
in Enfold > Main Menu > General it’s already set to ‘Activate for Smartphones … below 990px’
Where else do I need to change something? Thanks!
CarolinApril 22, 2019 at 10:38 pm in reply to: search function not finding word that is on website #1093420Hi Basilis,
I have installed the plugin you suggested and when I searched for the word history it bought up 3 search results displaying the pages this word is on. In the settings I had ticked the Highlight Search Terms box and would have expected to see the word showing highlighted in a sentence underneath the page name but it doesn’t do that. On the plugin page it says: This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.
So I have deactivated it again and have tried to install 3 other plugins but none of them find anything. They were Relevanssi, Ivory Search and Better Search.I’m not sure why none of them find anything. Could please help. Or can you suggest any other search plugin that you guys know will work with Enfold.
Thanks!
CarolinI think I’m understanding the functionality wrong. It is 1 column, but what I want is 1 column and only 1 image instead of 6 when you are looking at it on your phone. On a computer I want it to stay as is with 6 images.
Thanks!
CarolinHi Rikard,
I had solved my problem by doing what I wrote in my message above.I had the same issue (I think) and have enabled the GeoCoding API and had to set Application restrictions.
HTTP referrers:
http://myurl.com
http://*.myurl.com/*Now it’s working. Maybe try that :)
Hi Victoria,
what were you trying to achieve with the code above? I don’t see any changes. Though maybe I can only see changes if I make the images (Let’s be Social, Save the Date, etc) larger?
What width and height do you recommend for the images? Thanks,
CarolinHi Victoria,
it aligns the images to the top of the color section
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oa8icj3qvk5ifs2/Screen%20Shot%202019-04-12%20at%2010.37.26%20AM.png?dl=0
but I would like them to be aligned centered horizontally. In the Image Settings I can only specify to align it centered vertically.
I also scales them depending on the monitor/browser window width. Is there a way to minimize the space between the 5 columns?
If not what height and width should I make them all so that it aligns them better? I would just include space inside the image.
Thanks,
CarolinPerfect, that worked, thanks!
CarolinHi Rikard,
I did what you suggested an it worked. Thanks!
CarolinHi Victoria,
I have marked it up: https://cl.ly/0f1012481d92
– ‘Save the Date’ and ‘Early Bird Carnival Tickets’ images are aligned at top and not centered in the turquoise area. How do align all images in this row horizontally centered?
– ‘Save the Date’ image is scaled down in size. What width does each column have or how can I reduced the space between the images?
– The word WEEKS (animated numbers) gets cut off on a 1440px wide Macbook Pro screen. How can I make that column wider so the text doesn’t get cut? Thanks,
CarolinThanks Jordan, that worked!
CarolinThanks!
Hi Vinay,
can you please provide a link to the page in the docs.
Thanks!Never mind… I found it in General Styling > Logo Area > Primary Colour
Hi Mike,
I tried what you suggested to C-Y-B-E-R but it doesn’t work for my menu. I would like the line underneath the menu to be black. Where can I change the colour in Enfold?
Thanks!

Hi Victoria,
on my iPad I cleared the cache for both Safari and Chrome. I don’t have any other browsers installed. The problem still persists and when you click on an icon it ends up a little below where you want to be. The Robinson Insight navigation banner/menu banner still obscures the heading and first few lines of text so you can’t see it.
As I said it’s fine on any other device but not on my iPad. But maybe my iPad is too old (version 9.3.5 13g36).
What iPad version have you tested it on?
Thanks,

Hi Ismael,
in what ipad version and iPad browser did you test it after putting in the code? On my older ipad it hasn’t changed and still covers the headings when you click on the icons as in my post from October 17, 2017.
Thanks,
CarolinIt’s fine. She’s happy as it is. Thanks!

thanks, issue 1 is now fixed!
For issue 2 in Edge and IE 11 the text that wraps to the second line still doesn’t align with the rest of the text. See screenshot below:

CarolinHi Ismael,
please see the info in the Private Content.
Please make sure that you have access to the backup files so you restore it back to normal before you are trying to change anything.
When I log into the account I don’t see how to access FTP or the cpanel :(Thanks!

thanks for your help.
Issue 1 is fixed in Edge. Do you have any suggestions for IE 11?
For Issue 2 I tried both quick css codes but nothing has changed.

CarolinNovember 3, 2017 at 10:22 pm in reply to: alignment issues in Internet Explorer: LinkedIn icon and bullets in text #872322Hi Rikkard,
On my PC laptop I have IE 11 and on my PC desktop I have Microsoft Edge.
On Edge the Team icon looks fine but the bullets are still not where they are supposed to sit. Thanks,
CarolinHi Ismael,
I’m running a Child Theme.
I’m worried that the site will go down again if you use the same code and just change the number… I don’t want to call GoDaddy a second time because the site is down for the same reason.
But if you can copy the site onto your server then please go ahead and test it. Login is in the private content. Thanks,
CarolinYes, when you gave me the code on October 24 I first tried
$header[‘header_scroll_offset’] = $header[‘header_scroll_offset’] – 48;
then removed the browser history, but nothing changed after that. Then I tried
$header[‘header_scroll_offset’] = $header[‘header_scroll_offset’] – 100;
then removed the browser history, but nothing changed after that. When I tried
$header[‘header_scroll_offset’] = $header[‘header_scroll_offset’] + 100;
the whole website down. I had to call the hosting company to load a backup. I couldn’t even load the login screen for WordPress.
The person I spoke to said that the error log showed that the code above was causing the problem.I tried to change the number 48 to 100. Nothing changed. I then changed it to -100 and that took the whole website down. Completely wiped it out…. Luckily the hosting firm had a backup from a few minutes prior to when I did that. They told me the functions.php file was causing the site being down. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
