    Hi Victoria,

again, I don’t want parallax. Ismael mentioned parallax :)

Yes, the link includes a fixed background-image and exactly this is what I’d like to have for mobiles, too. By the way this link (and the fixed background-image) does work on iOS, too. Someone sent it to me my after he saw it with his iPhone.

But ok, as you wrote you can’t help me a code snippet, I’ve to look for another solution. Thanks for your help anyway.

    Best regards

    Hi Victoria,

    I don’t wanna confuse you, but I think a mockup isn’t necessary.

I just wanna have the gorilla background image in the color sections fixed on mobiles like it’s set in the content builder and working well on desktop pc. This I told to your collegue Ismael. Then he wrote me that it’s not possible because IOS and Android wouldn’t support fixed background images on mobiles. But then I’ve seen (with my Android) this where it’s working well: https://mobil.stern.de/amp/digital/online/alexa-und-co–lauschen-staendig-im-wohnzimmer—ist-die-privatsphaere-noch-zu-retten–8525612.html

So as it seems it can generelly work on Android (and IOS), and so my question: how I can get this effect “scrolling over the gorilla in the color sections on mobiles” when the setting is already “fixed”.

Would be very cool if you can help me.

    Best regards

    Hi Victoria,

thanks for your information, but I don’t wanna have it “paralax”, I wanna have it “fixed” like in the link and as I wrote in my mails before.

“Paralax” just mentioned your collegue Ismael.

    Hi Ismael,

    thanks for these informations.

I’m with you in case of “content first” but anyway the doctor (Martin Morgenstern) would love to have it scrolling over the gorilla and has sent me this link (in the field below) to a site where it’s obviously working.

Can you tell me how can we get it working with the Enfold theme on our site?

    Best regards

    Hi Ismael,

ok, I see. Thanks for the information. We’ve tried it with iOS and Android phones.

Is there any other chance to get the effect (scrolling over the background) of mobiles unless using or inventing (;)) a new system software for mobiles?

    Hi Ismael,

    thanks for these informations.

The video doesn’t have any sound.

But now I’ve got another (I hope little) problem: on the site there’s a gorilla with sunglasses as background imagi in some areas. The intention is that the user is scolling over the picture (of the gorilla), so I’ve set the background image in these color sections as “fixed”. On desktop it works fine, but not on mobiles. On mobiles the gorilla in these areas is moving like the setting would be “scrolling”.

    What can I do?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Victoria,

thanks for these informations & links. Unfortunately they don’t bring the things further on the site here.

I’m a bit confused because I had the videos (dancing & chilling Gorilla) starting/playing automatically when I’ve uploaded them the first time and then put them into the site. After I tried the possibility to play the via Youtube they’re not starting automatically anymore, but this what we’d like to have.

Do you have an idea what I can do to make them starting automatically again?

    Hi Victoria,

thanks for the informations and for your effort with the screenshots.

I know that I can set the imagine as background for the color sections. I’ve done this already and it had been looking cool (as in your screenshot :)), but Mr. Morgenstern wants to have the boxed content, the jungle as background and the “transparent stripes”.

I think the main problem was that now I didn’t have on the (my inner) screen that the bg-image for the color section can be set as fixed… so now I’d say: problem fixed!

Another – hopefully small – problem: Do you have an idea why the little videos with the chilling and dancing gorilla (in the content sections) don’t start automatically? Is it a hmtl5-Problem as it’s written in the content builder or maybe because I’ve tried a lazy load-plugin to make the site loading faster. I’ve deactivated and deleted the plugin again because no significant better results. But maybe there is some “information residual” which makes the videos not starting automatically?

    Hi Victoria,
I don’t use Dropbox, I use Wetransfer for those things, but I don’t think that it’s necessary.
Do you understand what I mean? In the end I just want to have the possibility to make “color sections” (enfold structur element) transparent so that you can see the background (body) picture between to other sections when you’re scrolling down the site (I don’t mean mean background pictures in the farb sections).
I hope you can help me.

    Hi Victoria,

äh, I don’t know if we’re speaking (writing) about the same. I’d like to make transparent stripes between some content sections, so that you’ll see the jungle (background picture) in this stripe with scrolling trough the startpage with a paralax effect. I’ve thought it would be possible just with putting a transparent color section there :)

I can send you screenshots of the places where I like to do/have the stripes, but it’s not possible here!?

    Hi Victoria,

thanks, and yes, like on top there. I’ve made you an admin-account..:

Aw, and another small problem: with the safari-browser the slider in the head-section is stopping after the video (gorilla-band). I’ve tried it with the video on board and with youtube.

    Hi Jordan,

    äh, not directly.

What I want to achieve: A blank space (horizintal stripe) between the content sections like between “Der Experte für artgerechte Haltung” und “Neues vom Morgenstern” at https://martinmorgenstern.com. So that you can see the background image (the jungle on our site) in this stripe so it’s like a grid with the background image of the jungle that I’ve as background for the body when the visitor is scrolling through the site.

I tried it already with a color section and make the background color transparent and I also tried it with a transparent background picture for the color section which I made transparent before (from white to transparent with Gimp), but it didn’t work.

I hope you can help me.

    Hi Viney,
many thanks for your help & work. Cool.
But is it possible to display the paragraph text as well? The textes do have a higher priority for us than the buttons on mobiles.

    Hi Basilis,
ok, that’s cool, but I prefer not to use the plugin, so I’ve created a new user with admin-rights (details in the “private data” and I’ll delete it again on Tuesday.
Please let me know if it’s required to delete the code that Victoria has sent me from themes/enfold/css/custom.css.

    Hi Viktoria,

thanks for the informations and for the code. I’ve put it into “Quick CSS” and also via FTP into the “Costum CSS”, but unfortunately it doesn’t work.

I’d like to send you screenshot, but where can I do this here?

So what else can I do to get the slider-textes on mobiles only on the left half of the screen? It’s not so important that the buttons (below the text) would be visible.

Would be great if you can help me.

    Hi Rikard,

ok, let me try to explain: on bigger screens like on PCs the text in the slider-pictures goes over more than 1 line and it’s visible only in the left half of the header. That’s what I want because on the right half of the slider are pictures.

But on a small mobile screen the text is going over the complete width and that means over the picture, too, what it makes difiicult to read the text.

So is it possible to define the text that it makes such a line break on small mobiles screens so that it’s visible only on the left half of the slider?

    Best regards

    Hi Rikard,
sorry for my late (this) respone, I had been a few days in holidays.
I tried it out as you’ve suggested but unfortunately it still doesn’t work with the line break on mobiles (max-width: 479px).
    Do you have another idea?
    Best regards
