ThomasHi Rikard,
I followed your suggestion and uploaded a new Enfold copy via ftp.
Unfortunately still no changes …Best regards,
ThomasHi Rikard,
Thanks for taking care.
As suggested, I deactivated all plugins … no difference on the widgets page.
Next, I switched to original Enfold (all plugins still deactivated) … also no difference.Any ideas? As mentioned, unfortunately I don’t know which changes were made on class-avia-newsbox.php last year, but the error was gone.
Best regards,
ThomasP.S. I also re-installed WP 6.5.3 … also not successful

Hi Kriesi Team,
I have exact the same error as last November AGAIN ….
Since I don’t know, what Nikko exactly did last November to get the Widgets-page running again, I have to contact you again and ask for help.Meanwhile version numbers changed to
WordPress version 6.5.3
Active theme: Enfold 5.7.1 child
PHP version 8.1.28The error message I receive from the website is exactly the same as last November (see post #1425578).
I recently added a new Post Category … maybe it has to do with that? Please close – Thanks
That’s it – works perfect :-)
Thank you GuenniNovember 17, 2023 at 12:12 pm in reply to: E_ERROR on Newsbox Widget / Widget panel not working #1425826Hi Nikko,

Thanks for your quick answer.
There are a few widgets in use on this site. You can access them via customize.
However, when I try to review the widget areas via the backend “appearance > widgets” the page is empty on the right side (where the areas/sidebars should appear).
Every time I click on a widget shown left, I get the E_Error message by email.

Your mentioned solution worked fine for me.
Thank youBest regards,
ThomasHi, I have the same issue with google maps. Also youtube and vimeo videos do not appear and the link directly goes to youtube website instead of opening in lightbox. I guess this has to do with the new Privacy & Cookie settings. The modal cookie window came up on every page … it seems, that the cookie settings were not stored correct.
I had to roll back to 4.5.7 … please find a solution soon. I’d like to update to 4.6 since from what I noticed, there are some very useful features implemented now that I’d love to see on my sites.
ThanksNothing else … so far.
Please close.Thanks
ThomasHi Jan,
Mike just found the problem on my site … the Yoast plugin caused the problem with the maintenance page. After deactivating Yoast everything worked perfect again.
Hope this helps.
Best regards
ThomasHi Mike,
GREAT – You are my hero !!
Deactivating Yoast made the maintenance page work again. Thank you.Do you know if this is the only problem with the Yoast plugin? Means, can I switch on Yoast again without problems once the page should finally go life?
Thanks again
Thomas
P.S. This is the first site in this multisite installation. So, I cannot answer your second question.Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot for your answer & instruction.
I think I could manage to get rid of the blank space in the child theme directory.
The maintenance page was working fine until I updated to WP5 and Enfold 4.5 … not sure what finally caused the problem. The page is set up as multisite and I am not sure how to include the Appearance Editor … thus I’ve included ftp login details as private content.
Thanks
ThomasHi,
I noticed the same. Instead of the indicated maintenance page parts of the frontpage will be shown.
So far, I set the maintenance page as frontpage to show at least the maintenance page correct.
Any solution on this?
Thanks
