January 5, 2015 at 7:02 pm in reply to: Color Section's background YouTube video URL losing parameters #375253
Hi,
I am also trying to figure out how to get YouTube video to auto play in my colour section at HD quality. I understand how to get the embed code for a larger size but the link input area of the colour section doesn’t accept embed codes, just URLs. Therefore, do I need to add a parameter to the URL or modify the source code? If it’s the source code, where do I find it and what line do I change and how? I have video on multiple pages that I need this to work for.
Also maybe you could explain how I can use video uploaded by me for the colour section? I’ve watched your tutorial on adding video but no mater what mp4 I upload it won’t play. Must it be under 2mb in size? If yes, how do I get HD quality?
Thank you,
Mary
Hi Ismael,
Thank you for your quick response! I tried to add this but it doesn’t seem to work. I prefer to use the quick css area because I want this stuff to be preserved when I update. I had some other quick css in there already, could that maybe affect it? This is how I have it setup now:
#top .input-text, #top input[type="text"], #top input[type="input"], #top input[type="password"], #top input[type="email"], #top input[type="number"], #top input[type="url"], #top input[type="tel"], #top input[type="search"], #top textarea, #top select {
width: 100%;
}a.slide-image {
background-color: transparent!important;
}Maybe I did something wrong?

Hi Ismael,
Well that is really good to know lol
Thank you!
Mary
Also I would like to have the video play on a loop.
Thanks!
Hi Elliot,
Thank you for this, I will keep it on file. I ended up switching the size of the boxes from x-large to large which seems to keep the text on the button, the responsiveness is still a bit off but I prefer this solution to adding custom css.
Thank you again for your help.

Hi,
I have added the code to my Quick CSS field and I am still getting weird responsiveness on the computer. On mobile it is fine because I set them to be listed vertically not horizontally. I need it to look good on smaller computer screens and tablets. It is also on almost every page of my site so I really need it to look right.

MaryDecember 3, 2014 at 6:49 pm in reply to: Optimum dimensions of full-width slider in responsive mode #362364I am having the same issue with responsiveness and full width images.. some documentation as mentioned above by DaraEmerson could be really helpful. I have a 1500×600 image that I want to be full screen, I’ve tried adding as just an image and it won’t work, I’ve tried sliders and still it won’t work. I even tried uploading it at 6250 × 2533 and it still won’t go full width.
It is the green/blue graphic with the copy: Applicant tracking, CRM, Back office.http://newweb.mindscope.com/
Thanks!
I would really rather not dealing with custom css…anyway this can be done in quick css? Also, why is it that when I turn off the responsiveness that the buttons still adjust this way?
Hi Ismael,
Thank you so much for your response! This worked great except putting the elements in the colour section caused some extra white space and a line to be added above, so I added the elements without a colour section and it’s perfect, though now I need to decide if I want to use it this way or my work around way lol
Thanks again,
Mary

I can’t figure out how to attach a screenshot here. I am not sure how comfortable I feel messing with CSS so if that is the only way to add a background colour to a text box, I will just work with what is available.
Thank you,
Mary
Hi
So then is colour section the only way to add colour? I have some 1/4 sections that I need to make stand out by being a specific colour, is this possible?Thank you,
Mary
