The header on the home page is currently set to transparent/glossy. How do I change the transparency of this setting to be 50% transparent?

Yes have disabled plugins and updated theme to 4.5.7 and the animations are not showing. On home page, the three icon boxes are set to fade in and at the bottom of page, the article previews should enter bottom to top.
What might the issue be?It may be a related issue – when I add a tab section it also doesn’t load/appear.

Then formatting is all funny, header sits halfway down the page.
