Thanks Elliott
I had set the size to – “featured 1500×430” and choose “yes, stretch the image”
My friend had the exact same settings and photos yet my photos changed in height so my only option was to resize them to the exact pixels. She didn’t have to do that to hers.
This is puzzling??
Thanks so much Elliott.

In the accordian slider (accordian image size) there is no option for either 100% or “no scaling”. I am stuck!

I am using the advanced layout editor to edit a page, i clicked in to edit my “accordian slider” but can’t find this “Slideshow Image and Video Size” that you mention? (I am not using the layerslider wp).
How do I give my wordpress login and password to you privately?

Thanks.
Would you be able to help with my other question (second para) regarding photo size.
Thanks.
Thanks Ismael. I used the easy full width sliders in the ALB but still the photos are zoomed in and not showing the whole.
Regarding the menu, I think I haven’t explained clearly. I wish to create a main heading called “Tutorials” but I do not want anything to create a page or link called “Tutorials”. I actually want only the sub-menus coming out of the Tutorials main menu to show and no actual page called “tutorials”. So someone would click on the heading “Tutorials” and then see the sub-menus from that and choose which tutorial they wish.
How do I get the heading “tutorials” without doing a link or new page called Tutorials?? So the word Tutorial is purely a heading with no content and no link, only sub-menus coming out of it.
Really hard to describe but hope it might be a bit clearer.
I’ve been also trying to watch the advanced layout editor long version on vimeo but it is not working so I cannot see the video. The short version seems to be working but I think I need to watch the long version. Any ideas on that?
Thanks so much.
Thanks Yigit, but how do I create a link which has purely the text “Recipes & Resources” in it? The sub-menus would come off of that text.
I have now inserted dummy sliders into my homepage http://www.makingskincare.com so that you can see more clearly my problem. The photos I have uploaded to the sliders are only showing a tiny bit of the photo, not the whole of it. So it’s as if someone just zoomed into a tiny part of my photo and uploaded that part and the rest is missing.
Just to explain further, say I wanted to create submenus under the main menu entitled “recipes & resources”‘ how would I do that without having to create a new page headed “recipes & resources”?? You can see in the screenshot on the left hand column it has a list of existing pages and asks you to select them in order to add them over onto the right hand side to for a menu. That a implies the heading “recipes &resources” needs to be a preexisting page first in order for a submenu is created coming out of it. I didn’t want to create that page and was forced to.
Regarding the slider, I didn’t use one as I couldn’t find a photo to fit properly.

Sorry I’m not great at explaining. Here’s a screenshot of my menu:-
you can see it says to put pages on the left so I did a new page headed “recipes and resources” as I was forced on the left hand side to create a page headed that to then be able to add it to the right hand column to make a menu out of it (sub-menu). I’d rather not have created a separate page as then I have to put text in that page. I’d rather the sub-menus come straight off it.
I haven’t yet created a slider as I couldn’t find an image to help.
Thanks so much.
