March 14, 2018 at 4:39 pm in reply to: Child Theme on existing site – Transfer all style settings #926692
Added exactly that code and website would not load!
Below is the code from another website where this works..But is not in child theme. The current wcl website worked with this script in functions.php when added to the main theme page!! It was lost when you transferred this over to a child theme!
working code from other website is..
function ava_custom_script_fix(){
?>
<script>
(function($){
var a = function() {
var isMobile = ”;
if( /Android|webOS|iPhone|iPad|iPod|BlackBerry|IEMobile|Opera Mini/i.test(navigator.userAgent) && ‘ontouchstart’ in document.documentElement)
{
isMobile = true;
}
else
{
isMobile = false;
}if(isMobile || $(window).width() <= 767) {
$(‘#top #wrap_all .av-social-link-facebook a’).attr(‘href’,’fb://profile/1184375088251044′);
} else {
$(‘#top #wrap_all .av-social-link-facebook a’).attr(‘href’, ‘https://www.facebook.com/Little-India-Didcot-1184375088251044’);
}
}$(window).resize(function() {
a();
}).resize();
})(jQuery);
</script>
<?php
}
add_action(‘wp_footer’, ‘ava_custom_script_fix’);March 14, 2018 at 10:24 am in reply to: Child Theme on existing site – Transfer all style settings #926525Pretty sure that this is what I actually did use as was taken from another site where this script was working. Will try again and report back.
Think I may have lost some details as saved cript in ansi and not unicode!

What did you do to make this work that I had not?? An explanation would help me and others as I have a few other sites I would like to move to a child themeJordan.. This is contrary to what your colleague Yidget implied as he closed my original and said to add it here. Have now opened a new thread anyway see https://kriesi.at/support/topic/child-theme-on-existing-site-transfer-all-style-settings/
Thanks for prompt reply. That seems fine. Thanks for your help re that.. So can you advise help on this thread about the child theme bit was well?
That has made the telephone number grey on both pc and mobile view wheras before the text was white. That really does not help. Original css had been added and is
.av_header_transparency .phone-info a { color: white; }
.phone-info a { color: #c5532e; }Login details provided in private
as per your other email I also assume you will look at my remark on closed thread at https://kriesi.at/support/topic/cant-transfer-the-settingscustomization-from-parents-theme-to-child-theme/#post-923124
March 7, 2018 at 4:51 pm in reply to: Can't transfer the settings/customization from parents theme to child theme #923124Similar issue here. Have spent ages reading up on various posts but want t know if setting changes made under general and advanced styling can also be copied over. It copies over my custom css but not the other changes
Fantastic and thankyou..Did not even think of font weight!.. Have added extra class to include the sub title as well..
NOW.. If client also wants the top menu t be the same font style (I think he may ask that) how can this also be added ??
#top #wrap_all .all_colors h2, .avia-caption-content{
font-family: ‘Fira Sans’, ‘HelveticaNeue’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
font-weight: 300;
}At this present moment I do not intend to update this theme, especially as there is no child theme to save the settings. best just close this thread.
and.. this is the css for the main screen slider again showing this font..
#top #wrap_all .all_colors h2 {
font-family: “Fira Sans”,”Helvetica Neue”,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
}On the home page NOit does not show thw correct font see
https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Fira+Sans as to how it should lookthis is the font required as per my post this page works fine as do the others without the slider at the top. it is onlt the slider that does not accept that font in the heading
http://www.landscaper-oxfordshire.co.uk/about/
This is the main cssh1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, #top .title_container .main-title, tr.pricing-row td, #top .portfolio-title, .callout .content-area, .avia-big-box .avia-innerbox, .av-special-font, .av-current-sort-title, .html_elegant-blog #top .minor-meta, #av-burger-menu-ul li {
font-family: “Fira Sans”,”HelveticaNeue”,”Helvetica Neue”,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
}That does not work. Have already tried various permutations of !important to try to make it work!
the site is still hidden from view so only with a login by you could this be possible. Am only using this element on the home page at http://www.landscaper-oxfordshire.co.uk/ and it is working elsewhere where I am using special heading which specifically allows you to specify h2 which it does not on the slider although it is using it in the html
I have added keriei logon already for other issues so am showing this in the private box
Having been designing websites for some 18 years I am familiar with all aspects of web design. What is irritating is the way that edits have to be done in a variety of, often convoluted, ways with a massive amount of css duplication and cascading css. In this instance of editing the js file I have yet to have anyone explain to me why this particular part of the script cannot be seen in the main shortcodes.js file. I really do like what enfold have done with wordpress and this about my tenth enfold site but I guess you are tied to the basic layouts and wordpress setup.
January 22, 2018 at 11:46 am in reply to: How to change the font of the captions on a FullScreen Slider element #900752well I tried that using the same font and also added a colour to see if the css was having any effect and it does not!
tried /* header slider caption font */
h2.avia-caption-title {
font-family: Lobster !important;
color: #red !important;
}But is that particular bit of code to change the transition speed does not exist in the main theme so why should it be there in the child theme? Again, whilst I do like the facilities offered within enfold some of the ways to change things are very complicated!
The prime reason I made this post was to be able to resolve the problem of this font not showing in the full screen slider. If I was able to select this font for the whole website then I would not be making this post! That particular font does not appear in the whole site option on the dropdown menus!
To start it would be good to get it to work as mentioned in the sliders which it deoes not even with the code obtained from these help pages.
Whilst this link does indeed explain how to use the child theme to copy and edit the jsi file why is the required and also how do you create the child theme within enfold with soley a js file? Whilst I understand css and a little js I am struggling with the complexities of this wordpress setup
January 19, 2018 at 10:33 pm in reply to: How to change the font of the captions on a FullScreen Slider element #899880Have exactly the same problem and have added the css as below. I wish to have the h2 heading for the full screen slider but it has no effect
h2.avia-caption-title {
font-family: Fira Sans, Arial, sans-serif;
}even adding !important has no effect
As stated I have installed quite e few enfold websites and used various demo options so my server must be fine. It is just the 2017 demo that fails to install
I have done nothing different from all the other websites that I have used enfold for and the basic enfold theme and indeed other imports work. It is just that particular 2017 one that does not seem to work. The images used are relative links to your website and also the slider then states you require a licence.
You mention uploads folder but do not specifically state what folder. The uploads folder in wp-content is 755 and images uploaded to it work fine so that cannot be the problem.
After many attempts I have now managed to install the startup business theme but the 2017 one still does not work
same here.. the layout Import: Enfold 2017 does not load! Have done about 10 enfold websites but have never used this layout before. Having installed it it looks nothing like the sample page at https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-2017/
Hoping admin will pick this up.. login details shown below for admin
